You know I worked for Paramount for 3.5 years and Cedar Fair since they bought it untill this past June. At least half of my friends still work at there. Though I dont agree with everything you said I do agree with most if it. Now I dont personally know Greg or Nick but I was friends with Tony since 2001 and it would take a lot to tarnish my opinion of him so in that reguard I disagree with you. I do agree that Jason was a GREAT guy. I do think that a lot of CF's new rules are rather rediculous. Personally I believe the green boxes are out of control at the the rides. It started as a line you had to stay behind, then as a box when the train was moving, and now you can only leave the box while the train is stopped in the station. The fact that you cant leave the box when there is no train is rediculous. Its one thing on the loading side of coasters but on the unload side? Has there been a recent set of accidents involving suicidal ride ops throwing themselves into the track? I also think the removal of moral boosters without replacement ones is poor judgment. I remember when we had a moral committee and everything. Now you're lucky to get positive feedback from the area supervisor. Personally I remember the day that CF bought the park and I was estatic. I thought that of paramount being sold, CF buying was the best case scenerio. I was wrong. Management wise I think paramount was better. In terms of guest satisfaction, I think paramount was better. In terms of employee manager relations, I think paramount was better. Years past, my friends and I all could not wait to go to work and loved being there. Now they all dread having to deal with irrational managers and stupid rules. I once thought that I could never imagine not working at KI, but talking to people that still work there and listening to things they put up with, well, it makes me glad I'm not there.

use putfile.com or youtube.com. I'm sure you could find a free video converter on download.com. worse thing that could happen is that it has a watermark.

A TR by an outsider to KI's Manager But On The Web

I think the attitude is unique of Greg Sheid and all of his "well there's no problem on our end" friends. -

What is the most times you have rode the racer in a day
DeLorean Rider replied to RacerRider113's topic in Rumors
Oh yea, remember, "70" cycles on IJ, I never saw it, most I saw was 66. Course that was before the block system was changed and when the kicker wheels moved at full speed. Now with slowdown and transfer as one and the kicker wheels moving at only half speed they're lucky to get 50. You know they finally got an automatic capacity counter. Now you go to the count screen and just type how many emptys you had. Bout time. Those clickers were a pain and seemed to lie sometimes. You know last year we got an unheard of 12 cycles in one hour on Tomb Raider. Keep in mind that ride averages 6-7 per hour now without antechamber. We had to pull out all the stops for that one. We even had maintainence sync up the capacity clock with the control panel clock so we would know exactly when it dropped. -
you work there so tell me: why did you object read the reply above this one Actually I worked there, I'm on Co-Op right now. Honestly I'd rather not give my opinions about park ownership enough times in other topics. If you really want to know, just search and you'll find them.

Thes is kind of a stupid question but what is a dive coaster??????????????????????????????????????????????? There is no need for that many question marks, even just one, yes one, would have shown that you were asking a question. A dive coaster is a B&M coaster that is either 8 or 10 accross that goes vertical. They are very larg coasters. Most notable coasters are Sheikra at Busch Gardens Africa, Griffon at Busch Gardens Europe and Oblivion at Alton Towers. Example:

There is a Vortex railing on the ground at the bottom of the first drop, does that mean they're going to make Vortex longer?

One of my best friends is the head sup at AE now and he said the same thing. He did all the math and in order to keep the train from settin up on lift 2 while running three trains, that there is less than a minute from the time that the train up-bars, to the time when the dispatch button is pressed. All in all he said that dispatch to dispatch [including bringing in the train, up bar, guests leaving, guests entering, down baring, checking bars, and the train leaving the station] all has to happen in right around 1 min 30 sec. With a class A crew [and all of the sups know who there class A crew is] great things can happen. Especially when things like power hours are involved. -

Yea but as with anything there are always those that complain. Personally I enjoyed it, it was my favorite position to work at TR, especially when we didn't have antechamber. I'll admit working a double on bars made me very tired but other than that it still wasn't terrible. -
The park didn't have winterfest last year Yea believe me... I would have know if they did...

I believe it. Believe me when you work at a ride long enough, you want to be remembered for something. I'm mainly remembered for... other things... Captin Nemo once rode Tomb Raider 34 times in a row. I once checked bars at Tomb Raider for 13 hours straight (open to close). That was mainly just so I could say I did. That way when ever a crew member would complain about being on bars for 2 hours I would just say: Look, if I can do it for 13 hours, you can do it for 2! -
Kings Island is not trying to market SOB as a NEW ride. The park is still trying to escape the shroud of darkness left from the incident. I believe that KI wants Son of Beast out of the spotlight as much as possible. Even having a brochure saying Son of Beast NEW, or NOW OPEN would make people think about why it's now "New" or why it just reopened and was closed in the first place. KI just wants people to find out its open, ride it, and forget about it for a couple of years untill the incident is history.

Do you guys remember when Kings Island had Pasquale's Pizza?

All targets are the same. As Coasterville said, rapid fireing is advised against. Just because you hear the sound does not mean that it is actually firing. If you want to know if it is firing you need to look at the front of the flashlight and see if the red light is flashing. I beleve there is like a 2 second timer or so that will not allow you to shoot faster than every two seconds. If you press the fire button as fast as you can, it will only actually shoot about one out of ever 5-10 shots.

Man when I was on Vortex we did whatever it took to avoid stacking. We would consistantly get 40 trains an hour which was at the time practically unheard of. I believe i was on the crew the year that the dual dispatch button was moved to the load side. Of course I will admit, we NEVER had to deal with those #$%^ing green boxes. Those boxes slow EVERYBODY down because when you could normally move throughout the station when the train was moving or at least when the station was empty, now you must perch yourself in one of the ridiculous green boxes and only move while the train is stopped in the station. Things like arranging loose articles, walking toward the exit gate or even answering the phone now must be done after the train arrives and stops.

Are you guys doing this backwards or forward. I couldnt imagine doing the forwards that many times as it still has those rough spots, yet the backwards would probably make me extemely dizzy after about 5 rides. Next time you guys need to get an affidavit from someone with "supervisor" on their nametag at The Racer and post it as proof.
