I will say that yesterday was beautiful outside and pretty dead at the park. I usually use the DB line to gauge crowds. Every time I was over there yesterday, the line was typically only about a 10 minute wait. The past 2 seasons, in the middle of the afternoon, DB would be about 5-6 switchbacks full under the tent. And looking at the webcam, today does look much busier. DB looks about half full under the tent.

We may do that the next time we are at the park (tomorrow ). My wife and I were talking after, and we would both much rather our kids see couples showing affection to each other than see body parts practically hanging out.

So, my wife and I and our two sons were in line at the Tower last evening. While we were standing there, we were kissing a bit, and all of a sudden we hear, "Family friendly park." We don't think anything about it, and then we hear it again. We kind of look behind us, expecting to see a couple groping each other or someone with hardly any clothes on. We turn to the ride op and she is looking at us (keep in mind, we are 39 and 38 and have been married for almost 17 years). The ride op was probably 18. So I said, "What? I was just kissing my wife." She says, "It looked more like sucking face." Here's what really bothers me. Where are all of the "family friendly park" comments to the women who run around the dry side of the park in bikini tops, or all of the guys who walk around with their pants hanging at their knees? I would much rather our kids see a married couple who love each other kissing than see some of the trashy stuff you see people wearing (or not wearing).

They have, at least for Indiana residents. When I go on the website, I see a $39.99 ticket that included admission, parking, and drinks all day. That is a pretty good price. As far as attendance, this is my family's 3rd year with a gold pass, and this is by far the least busy we have seen KI every time we have gone during the past 3 years. We usually go on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For example, the past 2 years, in the middle of the afternoon, DB would typically be 4-6 switchbacks under the tent. This year, there have been many days that the line doesn't get past the vending machines. MT is typically a 10 minute wait, and Delerium is usually a one ride wait. Much lower crowds this year, by far.

Quick note on water, if you go to the bar at Red's Hall of Fame Grill, you will get a nice sized plastic "beer" cup with ice water. It is very cold and you can enjoy it in the air conditioned restaurant.

I see that they are. So they will be opening today. But the lack of the link from Kings Island's webpage does show that the link was deliberately taken down last night.
-
And I'm sure they will. I was simply stating that the lack of communication to guests was baffling. The did not even announce that fireworks weren't happening. They just let all of their guests sit out on the ground like normal, waiting and waiting.... Last night was a HUGE step backward in guest relations.

Ill be very anxious to see if the park opens today. I know that haven’t announced it, but after witnessing the amazing lack of communication last night, it wouldn’t surprise me...

They newnit was cancelled but didn’t know why.

Here’s the thing that kills me. At 958 we were waiting to watch fireworks. People were saying they weren’t going to happen. I went to guest services to ask and they had no idea why. As we were walking out at 1004, no announcement had been made and there were still hundreds of people sitting and waiting. Whoever made the official call should have to go tell everyone waiting that the show was cancelled. Extremely poor handling with no communication tonight.
-
And no fireworks....workers have no idea why and the masses sitting and waiting are not being told they are not happening...
-
So the rides all shut down at 945 tonight. Ride ops had no idea....

My wife has a running belt (thin version of a fanny pack). It holds everything she needs, even her phone. She wears it under her shirt and has never had a problem. And as far as the couple getting in the seat with the souvenir cup, it sucks that the employees were rude, but I believe there are posted signs that state that these items cannot be carried on with you. It seems like another case of "that rule doesn't apply to me".

Maybe they tried to bring the sidewalk chalk on MT without putting it in a locker....

I was getting caught up on Defunctland yesterday, and found a couple of KI pieces in the episode about The Big Bad Wolf! 2:25 for The Bat (original) and 10:48 for The Bat (Top Gun) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=201uOqP1TnQ

So, while at the Magic Kingdom today, Space Mountain went down for a while. We were on the Tomorrowland People Mover, and we got to see the lights on inside of Space Mountain!!

We are here and ready!!!!!

The bubble is in place as of now. We are here and have had a few sprinkles. The main stuff has pushed back to later in the day. If you can get here, do it, there is no one here!!!

We are planning on coming down tomorrow. Hoping the weather bubble is firm in place! Of course, it’s our 14th visit if the season, so if it rains a lot, that’s okay too...
