This is way out there but there has been much speculation that major midway changes will occur back there possibly connecting MS area to the Gemini Midway and might involve relocating P&D. If so maybe they could use that building temporarily this season until they do whatever to the area over the winter. I don't see them using the MS infield for anything this year with all the construction continuing.

On a transcript of the Q2 earnings call I skimmed, I believe there was mention of bringing the FL SP to KI. Certainly will be controversial.

On IOS the apps need location services set to "always on even when not using the app", in order to access wait times. This of course drains the battery extremely fast. So I just eneable/disable location services for the app in settings when I need to view wait times. Kind of a pain but only takes 10 seconds. I recall @malem telling me he doesn't have this problem with android as his receiver goes into a low power state.

I had the shrimp there Thursday and received 9 as well. They only gave 6 when it opened which was really not enough, but they also offered two sides and have reduced it to one now. The breading on the shrimp was rather crumbly and did not stick very well. Fine with me as I really shouldn't eat the breading anyway. Snuck a couple of my kids "fries" and they are not my style. Taste more like slices of baked potato and not very crispy. The chicken strips were also rather dry but that happens sometimes and due to the bird. Really hope the quality isn't starting to slip there, but given all the changes such as the Freestyle removal I fear they are cutti costs.

Well they made an easy extra $200 off my family this year considering my wife has not been able to go once due to her ankle issues.

I am sure not a popular position but I do NOT think the lot needs a total resurfacing and would be a total waste of million$. 1) You shouldn't be driving over 5-10 mph in the isles anyway and they can just fill the potholes. But they actually need to fill them and that is not getting done in a timely manner. Note: I think the standard 25mph speed limit in most residential neighborhoods is rediculously fast. 10-15 is all you need. I have literally timed the difference and it may take an extra minute to 4-5 blocks, weigh that against the value of actually letting kids play kickball or t ball in the streets like when I was kid. Nope, stick them in the basement and plug them into Minecraft. Get off my lawn! /end rant 2) The through traffic lanes seem to be fine to me and IIRC appear that they were resurfaced. 3) I kind of think the mid throughput lane (between Preferred/ Handicapped and Lower Caste Parking) is a hazard and should be eliminated and replaced with a couple of direct access/barriered lanes leading from the outer (screwed up lanes) 4) Fix the cluster of the outer lanes with all the changing cones and other stupid nonsense. They are not well marked and switching lanes constantly is nuts, just pure nuts. 5) The lot should be much safer for pedestrians. The park is for kids or us kids at heart. After a long hot day navigating it with wound up kids safely is a challenge I never look forward to. /end 2nd rant,

Been 5 or six years since I have been on a car ride but a couple of things to keep in mind. They really suck if they are to short. SFSTL shortened theirs considerably when they put in American Thunder and it is just a waste of time now. Also these days safety concerns likely require the whole ride be visible by staff which limits what they can do regarding size as a staffing would be a much larger cost concern than energy. The cars have likely been redisigned over the years but if they bumped into each other on a tight curve the bumpers would become locked requiring an attendant to come over an stand on one to get them separated. Kids being kids we thought that was hilarious and was the whole goal.

I have a couple of 16oz collapsible water bottles with sport caps. Essentially a Mylar bag with a small carabiner I use for additional water between stops. Much easier to take on rides. We do both parks in one day frequently. I usually stuff towels and a change of clothes in a basic backpack and keep it under my chair at the water park. Change in the showehouse then go to the car put on shoes and drive over by the dry park enterance. I rarely get a locker at the waterpark and only when I need to have my phone more available for some reason. Otherwise I am not really concerned about loosing some sunscreen and a few towels and I have never had a problem though it could happen. Personally I need to take a shower after the waterpark especially if I go in the wavepool. The water is just sticky from all the sunscreen, don't know why I don't have that issue from the slides or river.

I am sure there are many that would like a NYE event. They employees might not be as thrilled about it though from protein spill standpoint. Come to think of it I can recall only having one beer at an amusement park in my entire adult life.

I would be thrilled with a simple No Basketballs Day.

The KI lot is in a lot better shape than most of I-71 to CBUS.

Taking a year off from adding rides and focusing on food service would be my choice.

Never seen so many pictures of bolts and crates. Other than that those are some awesome shots.

Raougarou and Gatekeeper have bins for shoes only. No bags, cups etc. As others have stated just avoid the front of the park until 1 or 2. I peeked in at Raptor around 11 last Friday and it had a 1 1/2 hour posted wait time and the que was half full. Of course by 3 it was a 5-10 minute wait.

^ You can be 5' 6" and weight 105lbs like my 12 year old and still get beat to all hell by Vortex and ruin your whole day. Some people can handle it and some can't I guess. Science tells us repeated blows to the head are less than healthful for cognition so we will be avoiding that one for the foreseeable future.
