Cedar Point 2021 Discussion

Hope they sell a lot $600 salads. Reports of 90 minute FLP lines, lines out the restrooms. -
Highly likely you get your wish with the fruit drinks.

Cedar Fair Unveils Exciting Plans for 2022 Operating Season

You should make a thread asking what food items would you like to see brought back and what food items do you definitely not want to be brought back. -
Cedar Fair Unveils Exciting Plans for 2022 Operating Season
King Ding Dong replied to Browntggrr's topic in Kings Island
Probably the exact same thing CP did. A parade and show, virtual park history tours, some contests like the Ticket for a Lifetime and a VIP experience that is hugely popular and coveted. Look at the throngs of guests last night at CP at the cash bar and watching TV instead of riding coasters. There are 2 guys chatting under that tent. Never seen more than 6-7 people in a VIP area at CP all season. The concept sounds great but in reality, Backstage passes, Exclusive Access and VIP Experiences can be boring AF if not done right. I have couches, TVs, free water and a stocked liquor cabinet at home. What I don’t have is flats and coasters. -

This is a CP Hugo’s Meal Plan portion. A lot of bread but still….the plates are not big enough. Don’t worry. They are going to make it up with the sides and pay off that loan to boot! -
Kings Island 2021 Food News and Reviews
King Ding Dong replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
The park is getting as bad as the big box stores with the early decorations. Maybe this should be moved to the Winterfest 2021 thread? Anyhoo, the RTFS is looking like the perfect place for me to hold court. I shall bring the Valravn Throne I lifted off CP since they abdicated it with Yukon Striker. -
Do you consider 2 small chicken wings a “meal”?
King Ding Dong replied to King Ding Dong's topic in Kings Island
Not sure and haven’t even been to Coney BBQ this season. The sirloin roast I had was OK, no complaints but not awesome either. We just left CPS and Crystal Rock is still serving up huge portions of brisket, that was 2 hours ago and I am still stuffed. Flats would be an unwise ride choice right now. . -

We don’t take phones into SC so I did not take a pic, but as Malem verifies it is now 4 wing sections. -

What is comical is we have eaten at the CPS equivalent Crystal Rock a few times this season and they have been serving up humongous amounts of brisket. Last week this kid dumped quite literally a pound of brisket on my tray and then could barely get any fries to stay on. My youngest got a little less, probably about 12-13oz. We were laughing about it because there was no way either of us could finish it. You are whooshing me. -
Island Smokehouse used to serve 3 wings (6 wing sections). Do you think 2 small chicken wings (4 wing sections) is a “meal”? That is what my kid was served the other day at Island Smokehouse in Soak City. I politely asked a supervisor about it and they agreed 2 wings is barely a snack but their supervisor instructed them that this was the new policy. I can’t imagine actually paying $13-$15 for 2 little wings and some lukewarm fries. I went to Guest Services and expressed my displeasure but they said there was nothing they could do but pass on my complaint to Food and Beverage. Has anybody else experienced a reduction in the quantity of food served recently? We certainly will not be ordering the wings again. In general KI has been doing much better with food service the past few years so I find this ridiculousness disappointing. As others have said repeatedly about the meal plans: What can you do they already have your money. Don’t waste your money.

Don't use Google Maps for Directions to Kings Island
King Ding Dong replied to disco2000's topic in Kings Island
Cedar Point being an exception because all the local signage wants to send you the long way over to Route 6 or Route 2. Even if you are already on 1st St. the signs want you to head away from the park. -

Fresh fried potato chips. -
While I have never seen any hard numbers it is often said it is the most expensive ride in the park to operate due to the power requirements of multiple launches per cycle. If this is accurate it is hard to justify with ridership so low. For this reason there is a strong probability the ride is not relocated and just scrapped.

Be cautious with that TK Texas Sandwich Corral serves. It is good but the last time I had it the Texas Toast was way overcooked and it was like eating a triple decker sandwich in between large croutons. Had to disassemble and eat as a salad. -
Would make a lovely flower planter in your front yard. To finish it off you just need a 36” section of lift chain for you mailbox post and a couple of train wheels for the sides of your driveway.

Corral may not be what he is referring to. There is a new fried chicken and tots stand over by WindSeeker called The Roost that did not open until the whole 150th parade kicked off, have not eaten there yet.
