If you could select the playlist for Banshee`s queue, what songs would you choose that fit the theme of the ride?

No, that is not true. Just because a ride was not shown in the renderings, does not mean it is getting removed. Since most of Adventure Express is so low to the ground, it wouldn`t be that noticeable in the rendering. It would have cost them more money to model that for the rendering, with little extra effect. After all, the focus is on Banshee, not Adventure Express,

My best guess is that it'll be below the station much like we see on Gatekeeper. There is what appears to be a door [to the gift shop?] in the concept art of the station. The ride photo and a gift shop will be located directly below the station. The door you see in the rendering is actually the exit from the gift shop. What the rendering doesn`t show is the entrance to the ride photo, which is directly below the bump out in the station, right across from the stair, which is the exit stair. Also not pictured in the rendering, is a wheel chair elevator lift, which will be located directly to the left (in the rendering it would be behind) of the staircase. How do I know this? Well, lets just say that I have a very fun position at a local Cincinnati company. A company that was not mentioned at the announcement, but was mentioned in an article about Gatekeeper and Cedar Point. It has been tough the last couple of months, knowing but not being able to tell anything.

Seriously? 2016? Kings Island just announced the largest single year investment in park history and people want to discuss if a coaster is coming in 2016. Topic closed.

Brad, the amazing thing that record that was achieved last night, is that myself and several other KIC`ers were at the park. If people were on KIC at the park, it was all via mobile devices. Pretty cool. Its also really cool to finally see the rendering. This ride will be a huge hit, and I love the layout and concept. The station looks really awesome too. On a side note, for those of you who know me, you know that I am extremely happy with my new job and some of the projects that I get to work on!

There are some things that are in the works. I haven`t heard anything definitive yet.

Montu's is a batwing. The blueprint looks more like a Norwegian loop. But it wouldn't surprise me for them to call it a batwing for marketing purposes. And have there been any inverted coasters from B&M that feature a Norwegian loop? I think the ones that feature a similar element are all batwings.

Yep, she is one of our really good workers. It is her first year working at Coney. In fact, she recently was awarded "Super Staffer" which is similar to Employee of the month.

So sad! Fortunately, damage was limited, and it did not spread to the maintenance or Whip buildings. Its especially sad given the age of the Dodg`em ride. Hopefully they will rebuild it, although it will never be able to replace the ride destroyed by the fire.

I have not gotten any such message. Next time it happens, try copying the error code, and pasting it here. It is helpful to see what error code is thrown.

One of the things I loved the most about Winterfest was the live entertainment and atmosphere. You didn`t go there so much for the rides, but the entertainment. The train ride was an awesome experience in 2005`s incarnation of Winterfest. Not to mention Santa`s Toy Factory in the now Kings Island Theater. I think they over priced the event back in 2005. From all accounts I have heard, the original WinterFest that ran from 1982-1992 made the park lots of money. I would think that if done right, it could make Cedar Fair money in the future. Yes, there is always a risk with the weather. But the Cincinnati Zoo, as others have stated does good business with their Festival of Lights. Granted they also have animals as their star attraction during the day. But with as much as Cedar Fair has developed and groomed their Haunt season. I`m surprised they haven`t tried to implement something like Winterfest again. Yes, there was that awkward weekend at KI when there was Haunt stuff up and there were Christmas decorations up too. But I visited Winterfest I think four times in 2005, and had a blast every single time I visited. I wish it would come back. But then again, I wish the Flying Eagles would come back to Kings Island too...

Yeah, That is one weird anomaly with Stricker`s Grove. I would absolutely love if Coney got a pair of Flying Eagles as a new ride. I`m not sure what is in store in the future for Coney, but I do know that one ride maybe on its way out to be replaced by another ride. I will be going to Kennywood in August for my first visit there. I am really looking forward to it!

And if you go to Fall O Ween again this year, they have changed the hours. Instead of 12-6 the hours are now 3-9 as they are having "Fright Lights" musical light show on the front of Moonlite Gardens.

Coney is not open that day, so I will be there! Especially since I was unable to go to the KIC even earlier this year due to my work schedule.

Yeah, the pirate ship has been there for a couple years now, and I have never seen it open. Have they opened it yet?

Personally, I absolutely LOVE Afterburn at Carowinds, and could ride that ride all day long. If Kings Island does end up getting an inverted coaster, then I will be happy. It would likely have inversions, and Kings Island`s last coaster with inversions was Invertigo, which offers your standard boomerang inversion package. Not to mention, if it does end up being a B&M invert, it would be another B&M ride that is a capacity machine, with limited down time. That being said, we have no guarantee what type of ride it is going to be yet, let alone the manufacturer or name. Some people will not be happy, no matter what type of ride Kings Island installs. As The Interpreter has said, just be happy that Kings Island appears to be getting a new ride. When was the last new ride installed at Dorney Park? Or Michigan`s Adventure?

I do know that Coney had a "haunted" hay ride last year for the Fall O Ween festival. I`m not entirely sure what path you were on when you took these images, or if the haunted hay ride in fact use props like this.

Topic bump. Just a reminder to people that this event is two days away. For those who have never been to Coney, it is a fun event. Even though it is one of the busier days of the season, I absolutely love working that day, even though I`ll be working close to 14 hours that day. Seeing all the balloons lit up is an amazing site. And the Rozzi`s always put on an amazing show. Be sure to get there early though, as parking goes up after 2pm to $10 from the typical $8.

Glad you had fun when you went. As a side note, we are two days away from the 14th annual LaRosa`s Balloon Glow. This Wednesday, July 3rd is the day. The Balloons glow from 8-10pm. Admission to see the balloons is free, and there is a Rozzi`s fireworks show at 10pm. Sunlite pool stays open until 9:30pm, and the rides stay open until 11pm. Expect large crowds, and if you go, be sure to get there before 2pm, as parking goes from $8 to $10 at that time.

Actually, gas lines are typically yellow. Electrical conduit is typically gray and storm water piping tends to be green. Don`t forget to call OUPS (Ohio Utilities Protection Service) before you dig, to make sure there isn`t a gas line in your way. It wouldn`t be fun to hit a gas line.

I`ll be there all day... Working. I will be there from 10:00am to probably close to midnight. It is a fun event to go to, and the fireworks are a blast! Nice long 25 minute or so show, and you are really close to them if you are over by Lake Como.

Does anyone know if the park is doing any special activities or having an extended fireworks display that night?

Yes, we still moderate here. It is hard in the busy summer season to be on here much, as I work two jobs pulling close to 70 hours a week. But I do still do moderation stuff, and am alerted every time that there is a reported post or user.

I still need to get out there. Not sure if they did it on purpose or not, but June 21st is actually Coney`s official birthday too. I may just have to get out there sometime this summer! I love model trains too! (I have a train that circles my room!
