I had called it spot on off of their Twitter teaser yesterday, and the pics that I think FYE posted on Facebook of the teaser package/ book.

I made it 1 minute and 22 seconds before I was annoyed with this. You're sharing 15 FACTS, then share a "fact" and follow it up with "supposedly, I don't know". My head hurts.

While you aren't wrong, you get another end of the stick when your prices are high. Entitlement knows no limits. I've seen the same kind of people at Disney, only their behavior is far more demeaning of the staff, because they see themselves as some how on a different level of humanity than the people that are there "to serve them". We now live in a society that breeds people that believe that no matter what it is, the world should bend to their ideal treatment.

You'll fit Flight of Fear fine. It will feel slightly tighter than Mystic Timbers.

Makes everything make sense in a way. Situations like that always make me go hmmm, because on one hand, you don't want to tell the general public that you're shutting down the park for a possible explosive device because you cause mass hysteria, but at the same time, that would be good info to know. The webcams were shut down, because if it was a situation, chances are good that whomever had planted the device or devices would be watching via webcam to see what they had done.

Highly recommended. The pockets zip and they are fairly "water resistant". Ziplock sandwich bag to put my phone and key in, and I'm set. Never have needed a bag, never gotten anything electronic wet.

That confirmed for me!! I was telling my friend when we were there that I was certain that the end used to be a splash pool under the bridge. I remembered there being water, but then I had convinced myself again that maybe I was wrong.

People are nuts. I haven't had any issue at this point explaining to my 5 year old daughter who saw my pictures from Monday of Vortex and said "I want to ride that NOW!!" that she has to be at least 48 inches tall before I can take her on it. She gets it, and tells me when she's bigger she is going to ride with me. My 3 year old son says he just wants to look at it. I don't get the whole putting kids at risk just so they can ride something. The harnesses on some of these rides aren't small enough to keep someone that little safe.

Pretty close to you. We are on the northeast corner of 465. 465 to 74 east to 275 north to 71 north. Made that drive a few times a year through highschool and college every year. Funny story, last summer my wife and I took the kids over for the first time in their lives. We jump in the car and take off, and as we're pulling into the entrance at the park, my wife has an epiphany and looks over at me and said "did you just drive that from memory?" I just laughed. It's not a tough drive!!

We went Monday, rode every coaster in the park, then DB, MT, Vortex, Beast and Banshee a second time, 2 times on Delirium, 1 time on WindSeeker, and 1 time on Boo Blasters (2 adult men on Boo Blasters with no kids) so by my math, that's 21 rides. We didn't hurry through the park by any means, and had Reds for lunch and Coney BBQ for dinner, so both were sit down and enjoy eating the food meals. Got there at open and got off our second ride on Beast at about 9:15 ish. I had time for a few more rides, but I live in Indianapolis, and the thought of not getting home til 1AM and having to be up for work at 5:30 Tuesday had me a little apprehensive about staying later. That being said, Monday was dead around the park, and I don't think I waited more than 25 minutes for much of anything we did. I think that if I really wanted to push it and hurry around, we could have pulled off 30 plus rides.

Saw a kid with a wristband on FOF get pulled to be measured on Monday. 3 of the 4 ride ops kept saying "she has a wrist band" but the guy that was measuring her was not giving in right away. It was an interesting situation to watch because the girl had obviously been measured and passed for the wrist band, but this particular ride op was taking his job very seriously. Also, maybe a ride op can chime in here, but is it to the top or bottom of the tape on the sticks? She was very obviously over the bottom of the tape, and was just above the top of the tape, but the ride op kept rechecking it over and over. What was a little obnoxious about that situation was when everyone in line started chanting "let her ride".

Yeah, that thought had crossed my mind too. Like, how do you not know your flip flops will most certainly blow into the pit with doing that?

Freestyle at the train station was open on Monday when I was there. We hit it 2 or 3 times.

Fun fact.... There was a flip flop on top of the sun shade on WindSeeker on Monday when we rode. Not sure if it's the same one. LOL. My friend that was with me put his flip flops in the box while we rode, and as we were coming down he said "I'm not sure why I took my flip flops off" and then we saw the one on the sunshade and I said "maybe that's why"

I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I don't know if it's the position you're in, or the way the ride moves, but man, that thing tore me up yesterday. Made the rest of my day a little less than fun. Everything I rode after that just made it a little worse. (of course I'm that guy though, I drove all the way here, I'm riding what I want to ride, miserable or not!!)

Yesterday on Delirium, right as the ride started to spin and swing, one of the people on the ride kicked off their flip flops. The ride op stopped the ride immediately and told one of the people checking harnesses to go out and pick up the flip flops, and then said "Remember, when riding rides at Kings Island, it is never a good idea to drop things from a moving ride, ever, anything" That was one of those "dang she mad" moments.

So I'm on the girl's twitter feed now, and there are employees of the park commenting on the thread saying they either witnessed or heard about it. I guess it's legit maybe... anyone can say anything they want on the internet it seems.

As of yesterday, the loading platform had all lanes open, but the chains were still hanging on the last two lanes. I forgot to take a pic, but there are actually rings that have been welded to the dividers on the lanes, and chains hanging on caribeners on the last 2 rows.

Interesting, it appears they took the story down. It was still up this morning.

I was there yesterday with a friend of mine. For lunch we ate burgers and chips at Reds. With 2 drinks the tally came to 39 dollars. We finally figured out how to get the wrist bands for our free drinks, so we didn't have to buy drinks with dinner, but we ate at Coney BBQ, 2 pulled pork sandwiches with sides, tally came to 29 dollars. Of course Plan for about 20 bucks per person per meal with drinks. You CAN eat cheaper than that if you try, but if you want to sit down and enjoy a real meal, you're 20 bucks a person. If you're genuinely trying to budget a day to have fun, budget about 35 bucks a person, that way there is a little buffer in there for some ice cream, or pretzels or funnel cakes. I know that for a lot of folks, it's a savings process to get a day at the park, but always budget a little more than you'll need so you can enjoy the visit a little more. Some of the snack stuff there is REALLY good and not worth missing.

Yesterday was a great time for my friend and I. (He apparently hadn't been to KI prior to yesterday). One thing that I noticed though, for some odd reason, Firehawk made me sick. I've been riding coasters and rides since I was very little and have never had any form of motion sickness from a ride ever, but when we rode Firehawk, I started feeling nausea coming on, and it hung with me for the rest of the day. Am I alone on this one, or is there anyone else that can ride anything, but gets sick from Firehawk?

I use the “health” app on my iPhone, and today, making my rounds to hit all the coasters, with the only coaster exceptions being Delirium, WindSeeker, and Boo Blasters, we did 10 miles and nearly 25k steps. We started in Action Zone, rode all the rides there, and then took a left out of there towards Coney Mall, back up through Rivertown, through the Eiffel Tower, and back around again. Then randomly walking about to hit our favorites a second time.

Wow! I had not heard about this at all. I suppose if one wasn’t paying attention it could be done, but that is certainly an interesting place to end up.

Coney bbq was good today in my opinion. I was excited to try it out, and was not let down. Had pulled pork and Mac and cheese and was happy with the outcome.

We will likely see you at some point as I will not leave here without a ride on Vortex!
