  1. I like this idea. Showplace is starting to show its age and really could use an overhaul or update of sorts in my opinion. I’d also like to see a solid roof instead of that sun shade material that’s currently there, that way rain wouldn’t be as much of an issue, though that may be a controversial opinion.
  2. Peter… Peter… pumpkin eater… (Repeat x10,000) I only scared in that area for about 30 minutes every night last year when I was sliding but it never failed that I’d be leaving the park with that stuck in my head.
  3. Yes it does! No boos don’t work inside the mazes, only the scare zones. Please don’t.
  4. They did this when I came in as a guest a couple of months ago.
  5. I think that was me? I found socks, underwear, and shorts under the tower earlier in the season.
  6. Seeing myself in that thumbnail will always catch me off guard now matter how many times I see that picture.
  7. I mean, if it makes you feel any better, KD’s website does say that gold passholders (and any tiers above gold) still get in.
  8. For auditions they’ll ask you all the typical job questions, they might have you improvise a character (Not as hard or involved as it sounds), and they’ll probably have you scream or yell. If you get the position, the biggest tip I can give is to pace yourself. You’ll probably hear this over and over again from your supervisors. You’ll want to go wild on Friday nights, and then when Saturday night hits, you’ll be completely exhausted. Drink water. Seriously. You’ll hear this one all the time, too. Try not to use overused lines. (“Boo” and “get out” are the worst ones.) There’s plenty more advice I can give if you need it. The biggest thing is just have fun, enjoy it. This will be my 8th season scaring, sometimes it’s the most fun you can have at a job. Break a leg!
  9. No thank you, I enjoy my freedom.
  10. As it says on their website, it’s down for 4th of July prep.
  11. Oh, wow. I really hate that ad. It feels very “six flags”. I’ve never been a fan of advertising in theme parks at all, but I get why it’s important. When I visit a park, it’s like an escape from reality, and I feel like being shown ads really takes away from that.
  12. I picture this kid from Polar Express every single time someone mentions someone giving random coaster "facts" to unsuspecting people in the queue lines.
  13. Something that has to be considered with ideas like this is that in that short period of time between haunt and winterfest, haunt has to be entirely taken out and winterfest has to be put up. It's already a huge time crunch and I can't see there being enough time to add on another seasonal event between the two. It's an interesting idea, but logistically, I don't think it would be possible. Edit: Just realized this thread is from 2020! Oops!
  14. I remember a while back, when the camp cedar split happened, a local news station posted an article about it with the headline “Kings Island parts ways on $27M attraction”, and the thumbnail was a picture of the Eiffel Tower.
  15. Might have to stop by grain and grill after I clock out! It smells so good walking by! Just going by pictures and the smell, seems like some good food.
  16. The lenses on the fixture can distort the light a bit, but it’s usually negligible. The logos are stretched vertically a small amount due to the angle the light is shining at, but there’s no way to fix that.
  17. I think with the aging and detailing that they've been doing to the paint on Coke marketplace and Enrique's, the roof on Enrique's won't look as "out of place" as it did before. Really can't wait to see this area finished!
  18. I thought that for a second, too!
  19. The people that do this are extremely irresponsible, not to mention, annoying. I am not your babysitter, I have a job to do. People should not be using a theme park as a daycare.
  20. Incidents like these really show the importance of speaking up if you see something suspicious. The article mentions that a guest reported seeing someone acting suspiciously, which resulted in this person being caught.
