  1. I would love to see a ground up RMC wooden/hybrid coaster, but I could also see a T-Rex or a mack rides spinning/multi-launch coaster going there as well.
  2. I'm wondering if we're going to be seeing the other Cedar Fair arrow loopers get removed in the near future as well. Carolina Cyclone, Dragon Fyre, Demon and Corkscrew are all older than Vortex and are still operating.
  3. I think if you cleared some of the trees behind Vortex, you could fit a good-sized RMC there similar to Steel Vengeance or Zadra.
  4. I'm not surprised that Kings Island is demolishing Vortex given its rough reputation. The thing that surprises me is how early they're doing it. Normally Kings Island won't remove a coaster unless they're going to start construction on a new project the following season (King Cobra/Delirium, Son of Beast/Banshee, Firehawk/Orion). Since we're just getting Orion next year, I don't think we're going to be seeing a new coaster in the park for another 4-5 years,
  5. My guess is that that they could either put it in Coney Mall where Vortex is now or more preferably in Rivertown in the plot of land between Diamondback and Beast where the Crypt building is now.
  6. I'm predicting we're going to be getting a coaster from either Mack or RMC around 2024-2025, then another B&M after that which is what my "Aethon" concept is based on. The lift hill is right below where it says "B&M flying coaster" and the first drop goes down below the walkway of the front entrance. The brake run is on the top side of the station where the white walkway is, I also put the transfer shed there too.
  7. Here is a concept I made not too long ago for a B&M Flying Coaster for Action Zone that goes around the front gate.
  8. As of now, B&M's family coasters are only suspended. It is possible they could make a floorless or sit-down version of the family coaster, but I honestly don't think that will happen since B&M has only been able to sell a small handful of family coasters. It's probably not in B&M's best interest to expand their family coaster lineup, but I won't throw out the possibility of another manufacturer such as Vekoma or Gravity Group building a family coaster for Planet Snoopy.
  9. We already have a family suspended coaster, though.
  10. Considering how much Cedar Fair is investing in water park expansions next year, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get a water park expansion in 2021.
  11. Yes, the cost for Lightning Rod was probably as high as it was because of the launch technology and the overall themeing Dollywood created for it. If we were to get a ground up wooden RMC with a 200ft-220ft tall chain lift hill, I estimate it would probably cost around 15-20 million depending on the length and themeing of the coaster.
  12. Then would Apollo's Chariot not be considered a hyper?
  13. Anybody else expecting Kings Island to change one of the webcams to face towards Coney Mall for construction? I could see Kings Island changing Mystic Timbers' webcam since that really only points towards the lift of MT.
  14. I looked on RCDB and it said that Orion will have a lift hill height of 287 ft. Does anybody know where this was initially specified?
  15. Actually scratch that. I thought you were talking about ride length instead of height.
  16. Kings Dominion still holds that record considering I305 is 5,100ft in length.
  17. It would be interesting to see if Kings Island adds the same bin system that Yukon Striker uses.
  18. Dorney already made their announcement, they're getting a new play structure for their waterpark. I believe Kings Island is the only park in Cedar Fair that hasn't made their announcement yet.
  19. I won't mind a dive if it has the traditional OTS restraints instead of the vests.
  20. So it's most likely we'll have the lift hill as part of our skyline by winterfest this season.
  21. Yes. The brown track is for Hersheypark's Candymonium.
  22. I would say so considering we get a new coaster about every 3-4 years.
  23. I just searched Armageddon on RCDB and there is no coaster with that name. However, it's worth noting that there was an attraction named "Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux" at Disneyland Paris that was just taken out earlier this year that was based on the film Armageddon. I'm not sure if Cedar Fair/Kings Island would be able to use that name considering Disney/Touchstone may still have the trademark active.
  24. Prior to the 2019 season, I was thinking Supernova would be a good name for a sci-fi themed giga coaster.
  25. I don't like the idea of Congo Falls getting torn out, but I know it's also not that popular of an attraction anymore so Cedar Fair may very well consider it. It may be a bit far-fetched, but if Congo Falls does get removed, I would hope that at some point in the distant future, Kings Island puts in a Mack Rides Power Splash or Water Coaster in Rivertown where the TR;TR building is.
