  1. ...which of course adds to the credibility of the awards? Purchase of advertising in AT... Receipt of Golden Ticket Award? Correlation?

  5. Well, had I not left when I did, two burly, gnarly "gentlemen," one of whom was, no joke, chewing tobacco (and spitting on the concrete), were going to help me out.

  7. Oh, boy. And I WAS going to stay here this weekend. May still. I wasn't going to work tomorrow, but my boss had other plans for me!

  10. It appears that a recent change in Ohio law as to when minors can work affects park staffing, I have been told by a member of a group with which I am associated. So, food service closing early -- shouldn't this end once schools are no longer in session if this is the reason? Rides stay open and staffed? Cedar Point is also in Ohio? Terp -- one answer, so many new questions caused by it?
  11. The park's attitude on this seems to be: You get what you get And you don't get upset. Me? I'll Putz around.
  12. Seems someone is forgetting who is a guest, what customer service is and who pays the bills. And still people line up to pay to be held hostage to such a system. You pay up front. We decide later, and can redecide at any time, what you get, when, at what level of service, and how. Such a deal. And, oh yes. No refunds.
  13. And I can leave and go to Putz's. And have. I didn't used to do that.
  14. And they took a year to figure out they can save money by closing most food establishments an hour earlier and opening an hour later, since they now have a large percentage of peeps' money.
  15. Because per caps are not apparently that important at Cedar Fair parks. Coincidentally (or not), meal plans started last year.
  16. The difference is actual park by park figures are rarely released.
  17. They don't want their competitors to know in detail how they are doing.
  18. That may be one of the few generalizations here that is probably factual...
  19. Hard urethane foam. Seat dividers. Ratcheting lapbars. Headrests. Computer controlled lift chain... The ride is a mere shadow of itself. See also Racer.
