  1. How many '!' does it take to get to the center of a Beast!!!! roller coaster?

  2. You make a great point Interpreter. Just because TOGO had the unfortunate reputation of having rough rides, doesn't mean we should Incorporate that all their rides are a mechanical mess. King Cobra has had mainly positive reviews as well as its clones at Kings Dominion and Canada's Wonderland. Gordon, I was speaking of the loop. I guess I should have been more thorough, sorry.
  3. Third... I do not believe it was maintenance troubles. Top Thrill Dragsters first year, now that was maintenance trouble.
  4. If I am not mistaken the one at Dominion had that effect working. Don't get me wrong I think the concept of having the seats do that is wonderful. But even without it it is still a great family coaster.
  5. Thanks kDfReAk for sharing your pictures with us. I have never been to Kings Dominion before but this looks like it is going to fit right in with their great collection of other rides.
  6. While Maverick is a wonderful coaster, the restraints took a lot away from the experience. They were uncomfortable and and really abuse the top of each shoulder.
  7. As much negative reviews there are of Son of Beast, I have to disagree and say I sincerely enjoy Son of Beast. I would be a hypocrite not to agree that it is rough, more rough than most rides but that is one of the things I have to look over. The only part that I feel it it rough is the first double helix. The rest of the ride is a wonderful experience. Some people can handle it and some can't, it just depends how much your body can handle under the dynamics of the ride.
  8. I felt the only people getting a laugh on April Fools were the Gas componies.
  9. The Bat was way before my time but I have heard a great deal about it from people who had the chance to ride it, and each and every one of them said something positive about it.
  10. Mantis. Since the first time I went to Cedar Point in 2000 I always wanted to ride it. I was highly disappointed in the experience when I rode it last year. It is a very uncomfortable ride and after the first loop I just wanted off.
  11. At this point I would not be surprised to see this poll on the November ballot! Ryan, People like Don have to be able to answer questions on the spot and without a script, Marketing do it all the time. Looking forward to the show.
  12. The community seems very split by the decision. Many are upset, many are okay with this new change. Cedar Fair is making big changes to the park, many of them are wonderful. They are reinventing the park and this is just one way they are doing this. This is a new Island, a better Island. I look forward to being there opening day.
  13. Why Thunderhawk? While I have never been on Thunderhawk I have been on its clones, specifically 'The Mind Eraser' at Six Flags America. I enjoyed that one.
  14. It has felt like a long off season hasn't it?
  15. What a great line up. Peter Frampton, O.A.R, Weird Al! How much on avg. will tickets go for?
  16. This took me a while to think of one. I am the kind of person who does not rate coasters. I don't have a favorite or least favorite. I have never been on a coaster in which I hated but if I had to choose, it would be the spiral coaster at the now defunct Lotte World Sky Plaza. This park was at the top of a skyscraper and had two coasters. Yes it was a pipeline coaster and it opened just before we left for America. It was not technically a bad ride but it was a ride you would not want to ride twice in a row.
  17. The shows this year are going to be great. Can't wait to see 'on ice' again!
  18. My first screen name was Chaos7 on PKIU, joined in 2003. What got me started on the forums was my first topic poll. I wanted to know what people thought of the Cicada situation and KI building Boomerang Bay. From then on I just stuck around.
  19. I have nothing but the utter most respect for Alien Seeds work. Glad to have you on the forums buddy!
  20. Kind of reminds me of Smegol from Lord of the Rings. Like any place of earth there is a story behind the place, I can bet that over 90% of the world has a creepy story behind it. I don't know if you believe in ghosts or not but I will admit, I have been in situations where I believed I was not alone.
  21. That is true. They did come to Wright State University during the fall last year. If not next year, I am highly looking into the college program at Disney.
  22. My personal opinion is to not have this kind of 'competition'. I like to think that everyone who posts on the forums is a valued member and should be treated as such.
  23. C'mon now Chef. You know me! I am the creator of the topic and a staff member. You Might be a KI addict if you... can't stand a topic having the P in KI!
  24. I have quite the exotic first roller coaster ride. My first roller coaster was called '88 train' (or the jet coaster) and was at a park called Amusement land located in South Korea. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1539.htm
