  2. I initially saw the TikTok a few days ago and really had a long ponder about this. On one hand, I feel bad when hard work of essential artists is leaked like this. The other hand, it’s just nice to see an update (ANY UPDATE) on this project. In the meantime here’s some AI slop with a very important message.
  3. This graph is through Apple Stocks Map. What we see is the company in essence has lost close to 50% of its stock value when based on the stock value at the beginning of the year. I added a full graph. Gather what you will but the writings on the wall. We’re in a recession for the company.
  4. Check out the absolute EJECTOR airtime coming from some of those quad downs! it’s the Great Recession Charlie Brown Dive Coaster concept The 30ft KA k’nex model has bigger numbers But for real… I’m not very “thrilled” by these graphs
  5. It depends on the configuration of the speed of the conveyor and how many buggies return to the ride. buggies: Right now we have seen photos of all the buggies from Boo Blasters moved to a new spot at TimberWolf. This leads me to one of two thoughts. I don’t believe they will be trashing them based on the concept art buggies looking the same with new colors. So second option, they are getting ready for modification work. Additionally I don’t see the park shelling out for 30 additional vehicles to return it to its previous capacity. Sorry, but I think they are gone forever. ride speed: Not sure what the speed is at the moment but from my time working at SDATHC I do recall the turntable/ride speed has 2 speeds. Speed 1 is normal ride, and 2 is super slow. In some cases the ride would stop if a delay in the station occurs. I hope KI figures a way to allow the seamless transition on and off the turntable platform that eliminates the overcrowding at the exit point and quicker loading to prevent turntable stops. These two factors make me believe we’re looking at a full indoor queue always at 45+ wait on most days. With FL I imagine the normal queue will reach 90+ minutes most summer days. I really would love to see KI extend the outdoor queue section. Also don’t underestimate indoor AC popularity.
  6. I’m just so appreciative to see parks investing in Dark Rides. The list for best new Dark ride for next years Golden Ticket Award is building! Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare at Kings Island. Sally Omnimover reskin. SeaQuest: Legend of the Deep at SeaWorld Orlando. VEKOMA suspended dark-ride NightFlight at Dollywood. MACK water-coaster hybrid
  7. The fog curtain and projection lasted maybe a season. Anyone remember that?
  8. When it comes to IP at Kings Island, many have come and gone. These characters on the other hand always belonged to Kings Island. So to see something so corporate like SIX on its first year green light a project like this brings me a lot of shock, yet optimism. The library of IPs they could have gone with. But some people at SIX who loved Phantom Theater are the reasons we likely saw projects like Encore and this. Seeing how far along Sally might be with this project gives me so much confidence in what will be the final product. Especially since the refit already takes place in a preexisting building. I also in general love seeing the media team at KI posting updates like this! They probably have a good idea of how beloved this IP is. Plus I love watching the process. Keep’em coming!
  9. Half the original buggies were removed after Phantom Theater closed. Those sat outside in the graveyard for the longest time. Not sure when they all disappeared but they are long gone.
  10. New trains are a few Million and they need at least 2. That doesn’t look likely under the new Six Flags. Hate to say it but I think the rumor may have merit if true.
  11. Indoor Projects like these always intrigue me. No drone or aerial photography is going to give much away which imo makes them all the more mysterious. when a rollercoasters is announced everyone can speculate about what the experience will be like. We get POVs, outdoor construction, etc. Dark Rides in general are always more mysterious when you have no idea of what ride experience you are even in line for.
  12. Or it could be a result of the 500 full time positions removed this past summer. All part of a plan to reallocate money and reduce expenses. The Budget for practically everything has been changed. Change in price for Season Passes, now you pay less BUT there’s more ‘premium’ up charges. Now what was included has been hit with a $$$ signs. Low entry price looks appealing, but in park spending is higher. Nickel and diming resentment increases. And we end up where we are now. The guests are not happy, the board is not happy, the CEO is out of a job come 2026. This is textbook price obfuscation and loyal visitors are noticing.
  13. Very well put! The entire article (albeit at times patting himself on the back) lists many of the problems that is going wrong at SIX. Unfortunately I don’t see a way out of this without someone at the top floor at Six Flags choosing to sell more parks. One thing not mentioned is a Parks role when the parent company is publicly traded (Six) vs private (Herschend)
  14. The majority of the “park updates” had to do with weather conditions. I began seeing these posts in my feed about 3-4 years ago. At the time it felt like an actual update trending with national weather services; however, as a few years passed I noticed a trend and so did the comment section. This started to feel like too common an occurrence.
  15. I do have to say it does seem just about everyday I see those “park update” posts from a park informing early or full closures. Before the merge this was a post I saw VERY often from Six Flags Magic Mountain (nearby park to me). This year I am seeing this type of post from parks a lot more on CF legacy parks.
  16. Gary!!! He was such a fun guy. Saw him a lot that opening year.
  17. My best guess for the demo. Cost of demo < cost of retrofitting But as Gordon said, I could have sworn that the building was not on the chopping block when the ride was announced.
  18. Wow… that needs to be someone’s yearbook quote. Perfectly said!
  19. Meh, show should have been hosted by Combat Stupendous. School of Rock was a standout though. And while I know Hot Blooded was a fan favorite, Dead Awakening was better.
  20. The most clever show the park has had. Plus it was a huge hit with everyone, how can you go wrong with a marshmallow fight!
  21. The Spokesperson is Mr. Six This reminds me of a story during my time with Carnival Cruise. They had 2 pro DJs for each ship. About 10 years ago the company realized they could cut one of the DJ positions and have a host do it without any pay bump. Hosts did it because it was now part of their job description as per the men in charge. Now, there are less than half the amount of DJs they had, the pro DJs left with the company have more work with the same pay and the other half is now done by individuals who are not ‘DJs’. The hosts can do an OK job at DJ’ing but you can get that job now without any background knowledge. I’m not here to comment on if this is good practice or not, but it’s a technique that Six seems to be following in the footsteps of.
  22. Had a Purple mattress 6 years ago, wasn’t for me. Sometimes the entertainment at this park isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. I use to really enjoy the shows, now they don’t really seem worth the time. Not because they are not good or anything but because how you use your time in a park now-a-days is vital in order to get the most out of your day.
