  1. It has felt like a long off season hasn't it?
  2. What a great line up. Peter Frampton, O.A.R, Weird Al! How much on avg. will tickets go for?
  3. This took me a while to think of one. I am the kind of person who does not rate coasters. I don't have a favorite or least favorite. I have never been on a coaster in which I hated but if I had to choose, it would be the spiral coaster at the now defunct Lotte World Sky Plaza. This park was at the top of a skyscraper and had two coasters. Yes it was a pipeline coaster and it opened just before we left for America. It was not technically a bad ride but it was a ride you would not want to ride twice in a row.
  4. The shows this year are going to be great. Can't wait to see 'on ice' again!
  5. My first screen name was Chaos7 on PKIU, joined in 2003. What got me started on the forums was my first topic poll. I wanted to know what people thought of the Cicada situation and KI building Boomerang Bay. From then on I just stuck around.
  6. I have nothing but the utter most respect for Alien Seeds work. Glad to have you on the forums buddy!
  7. Kind of reminds me of Smegol from Lord of the Rings. Like any place of earth there is a story behind the place, I can bet that over 90% of the world has a creepy story behind it. I don't know if you believe in ghosts or not but I will admit, I have been in situations where I believed I was not alone.
  8. That is true. They did come to Wright State University during the fall last year. If not next year, I am highly looking into the college program at Disney.
  9. My personal opinion is to not have this kind of 'competition'. I like to think that everyone who posts on the forums is a valued member and should be treated as such.
  10. C'mon now Chef. You know me! I am the creator of the topic and a staff member. You Might be a KI addict if you... can't stand a topic having the P in KI!
  11. I have quite the exotic first roller coaster ride. My first roller coaster was called '88 train' (or the jet coaster) and was at a park called Amusement land located in South Korea. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1539.htm
  12. I remember riding BTTF and enjoying it but I'm glad they are doing this. Simpson's is a great marketing idea and will bring them a lot of people. Let's just hope it is funny. Your making a ride that will be there for many years to come so it should be fun and funny every time you ride.
  13. Welcome Dip'n Dots Guy!

  14. I will hopefully be there that day at beast, all day! Umm, Gordon. Why not sky dive into the park, remember that one time we jumped out of my plane?
  15. Thanks for the PDF iChase, I'm sure Dane will appreciate it!
  16. I'll take the priveledge of being your comment.

  17. Either you are very popular, or a target Mr. most profile views!

  18. It would be interesting to see when we all joined the forums and see how many patrons we have still on the forums. If you were part of the PKIU merger make sure you tell us that. -Cheers I joined in 2004. EDIT- I see that the years are out of order, Unfortunately the way the polls work by oldest choices at the top, and newer poll choices at the bottom. Nothing I can do about it, sorry.
  19. I'm disappointed the video did not win the youtube award for most inspirational. It seems like the youtube awards are the new academy awards. this is the youtube video, different from the one in the first post.
  20. KICentral is back on track with helping you soften the Off-Season blues (especially with opening day very soon) by giving you some aerial photos of the park; however, this is not a recent flyover update. See Kings Island as you have never seen it before. To make up for the lackluster updates on flyover photos, I have given you 12 photos from the 2007 season. Album includes Firehawk and the whole park. Aerials from '07 season Cheers, Gabriel
  21. I like it, I only wish there was a bracket... what is a tournament without a bracket?
  22. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/Chattanooga+TN/Pigeon+Forge+TN/ Here is a detailed map of the journey between the two cities AngryMoBeaver.
  23. Is dollywood worth it? Yes! I went to Dollywood for the first time last year. It was a cold day, very cold day... as you can see here. Even though the rides did not open till later when it got warmer, I was surprised at how many other activities there were. You could go the whole day in the park and not even have to go on any rides. The amount and variaty of shows are wonderful and they are great productions! Even though the park has only three (big) coasters, you can trust me when I say... three does the trick. I don't play favorites when it comes to coasters; However, Tennesee tornado and Thunderhead are one of the greatest times I have ever had on a coaster. Thunderhead has won best wooden coaster golden ticket for a reason... it's spectacular! That loop is huge, it is larger than dollys... ego! But really... this is the smoothest arror coaster I have ever been on. The food at the park is exceptional and boy was it filling. The park is worth taking a trip to because not only do you get the park, but you see the majestic Smocky Mountains. Also there is plenty do do around the park at Pigeon Forge.
