  1. It's the fifth anniversary? Wow, time is flying!
  2. Oh® forGetTM it! No more brand names; I'm Stick, Inc. with plain English descriptives from NOWSM ON®! Will it make posts easier? We LLC. Oh, and the new coaster at Mason's big amusement park looks awesome! So, um, ...trains? Heh heh heh
  3. This winter is making spring so much more welcome than ever, and Banshee is icing on that cake.

  4. Looks eerily like a Robert Ballard image from deep under the ocean...
  5. The only thing missing is dramatic music... the suspense is killing me... again.
  6. Really? I picture you being only around the age of like Viggo Mortensen, Antonio Banderas, maybe Tom Cruise or Samuel L. Jackson.
  7. In a short while, we'll be riding along, our guts squished and tickled by the G forces, the midway food-scented summer wind at our faces, our feet dangling above the shifting, rolling landscape (and skyscape(!)) "below;" and we'll likely forget which piece was first or last, or how she was fastened together though one of the toughest winters ever to hit southwest Ohio, or how small the equipment looked in comparison to the rising columns and track in Don's amazing construction pics. Instead, we'll be too busy laughing and screaming in awe of our new, big star coaster as she whips us along in ways some of us have never yet experienced. There are experiences in life that require vivid analogies in order to articulate them. In other words, how does looking at the finished Banshee make me feel? Well, as a kid, my dad used to take us to Ann Arbor, Michigan to visit the storefronts, arcades and theaters on weekends. There was this candy store next to an arcade called the "Crosseyed Moose." Inside, and on display high above the wall behind the counter was a Hershey's Chocolate Bar that appeared to be about 20 pounds! There were giant proportions of all kinds of candy, but that one caught my eye. Now, my dad asked jokingly if I could finish it in an hour. I knew better, but I hoped he was serious, and he seemed to know it, so he let the idea stew a little. Ultimately he didn't buy the cocoa behemoth, and I understood why, but for that moment, the anticipation was exhilerating! Now I know why driving by Kings Island on my way home from work makes me crave chocolate.
  8. I want to insert an SOB joke right here, but it is much, much too soon...
  9. Whew! The track's complete. Now, what... shall... we... click... next... Parody. Webcam image from www.visitkingsisland.com
  10. Hmmmmm.... I think you have a new thread concept there... EDIT - Wow... I was too slow. This was referring to UnrealNightmare's Where's Waldo/Don idea. You gotta be quick on these epic threads!
  11. Getting ready to sing (a public domain variation of) "Happy Birthday" to Banshee! ...and then wait an excruciating three months while we watch water dummies get to have all of what would be the fun, if they weren't insentient robots!
  12. As I look at the different elements of Banshee, I can actually start to imagine what the forces are going to feel like. I usually smile big, then laugh from the awesomeness of a good coaster experience (and from listening to how others react -- especially new riders), and I look forward to what Banshee is going to provide.
  13. Let me write Mrs. Wright right now and find out for you. Edit: I'd change the wording to read: "There are two homophones of the word "to" in the English language. They are "too" and "two." Driving by Kings Island, it's too awesome to see its two newest B&Ms, Diamondback and Banshee, anchoring the park's southeast and northwest wings! Man! The edits I had to just do...
  14. Don't forget the commonly misused "could of" in place of the proper "could have." I could have sworn this was a topic about Banshee's construction progress, which is coming along phenomenally!
  15. They should blow everyone's minds and install a loop. Physics schmizics!
  16. There's more than meets the queue in 2014.

  17. This picture makes me want to break out the old RCT1 and see how far I can fling cars from my unfinished coasters (in unmanned test mode, of course)...
  18. Inverted, of course. [runs for door]...
  19. Yes, the wildly sloped landscape and false-perspective caused by the overwide "road" illusion (for me) behind the coaster belies the scale of this massive thing, and makes the equipment look smaller than it really is!
  20. Yes! -Tb, looking at the open can rolling around on the ground over there...
  21. LOL! Worms, anyone? Got a whole can of 'em, right here... worrrrrmmmms! Get your worms here!
  22. Lots of QR codes to add an interactive element to the map experience.
  23. ^^^ Looks like someone's on the 'trail!' Is there more than meets the queue? I, for one, will stay tuned... same bat time, same bat channel?
