  1. It's not raining. I like not rain. °-°

  2. I really wish they would play something a little more "fountainworthy" on I street. Even some smooth jazz, or international pop would work better than ancient rock imho. I'd love to hear songs like "Cape Town Love" by Spyro Gyra, or , or , or even "Carnival" by the Rippingtons... as I stroll down the main street of our world-famous little park.
  3. Hmm. Sorry to hear that. Are they still blasting old rock through the speakers on International Street?
  4. It's raining. I like rain. -_-

  5. This doesn't look like a deliberate, tongue-in-cheek attempt at cheesiness. This really looks like a project that was handed off to the lowest bidder--one who has yet to let go of 1991. At the very least, it has people talking...
  6. Cool! This is going to look like a UFO from some vantage points around the park! Reminiscent of "Close Encounters." B)
  7. What did I just watch? That commercial brings to mind an old, old, ancient relic of the far, far distant, archaic past: any "Vanilla Ice" video.
  8. For what it's worth... Driving through Hopkinsville, I saw WS for the first time from that vantage point; it's cool to be able to judge where things are in the park from where the towers are positioned. I noticed the Eiffel Tower lit up on both sides, too, and it looks like they were testing the SS lights on the SE side of the tower. She's a comin' alive!
  9. [mimmicking Jeff Goldblum] Um, okay, so there's a record for an activity that about 60 Million people do every year at about the same time? Hmmm. Interesting. We really are in a slow news year, aren't we?
  10. Maybe if things get close they'll bring in Mr. Krabs to band-aid it together on time. If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Krabs is already holding down his other 'job' in Action Theater... again... for like the ninth season...
  11. That was one of the best PTRs I've ever seen! I love the shot of the seal 'barking' at the bird... looks like "Hey, that's my fish!" Great pics!
  12. A lot of things are being 'pulled' from facebook lately. A LOT of things...
  13. I live on Snider, and the storm pretty much came in with about a 45mph gust, when we came back up from our shelter, we found not much more than a bunch of loose tree boughs strewn about, some small leaves and lots of blossom petals stuck to the side of our truck. Glad everyone seems to be ok.
  14. If you mean this, it's a radio tower: Lots more info at http://www.necrat.us/wlw.html if interested. Oh, no. But I've always loved seeing the lights of the ol' Blaw-Knox Blaster, letting me know that I was just a few miles from my beloved hometown! (My dad moved us to suburban Detroit (yes, there is a SUB-urban Detroit XD) for a few years when I was a kid, and all of the special road trips down to see the relatives included a day at KI!) We'd stay at my uncle's house, which was on E. Circle, which meant this beauty was right past his back yard. The first time I realized how monstrously huge it was, I was like this: Anyway, back before all the sprawl and development, you could see the WLW tower, the VOA towers, and off in the distance, the sparkling little green jewel that was (and is) the Eiffel Tower from I-75. It was like a grand gateway to home. The "Imposter" I'm referring to is a gray cell tower that is to the direct south-west of the park, and it's about 250' tall with a white flashing beacon on top. It kind of blends in visually with the colorful attractions of BB, and almost looks like a 'Parachute' ride tower (like the ones in classic 'boardwalk' pictures).
  15. Looks like one of the mushrooms on any classic "Mario Bros." game.
  16. Walking distance and free fireworks are perks you just can't get in a platinum pass! Ahhhhhhh.
  17. With WindSeeker added to the skyline, I like how all the aircraft warning lights blink at different intervals over Kings Island at night; adds kind of a sparkle to the sleeping giant (even the 'Imposter', that radio or cell tower to the south of the park that gets in on the act... still, pretty cool).
  18. I remember winning a big, green, styrofoam-stuffed-felt snake for my niece at one of the Nickelodeon Universe squirt-gun-race games (don't remember what the theme was, though).
  19. I don't care how fast it goes; it's been a thrill every single time I've ever ridden it!
  20. WINNERS: The Game....................UCONN Thread Ownage..........Terpy
  21. The way Butler's shooting 3s (not), and with Ukwandu's height, I'm thinking UCONN by 9.
  22. Whatever it is, I hope it will be a little more 'robust' than in recent years. Maybe I'm applying a TR bias here, but the experience seems to have diminished since the changeover. Ah, dead horse.... 29 days!
