  1. It's amazing what a little change of avatar can do for your profile visit count.

  2. Well, it's an acronym for a phrase that would violate the TOS. Oh, and it's a 1981 William Holden Movie...
  3. Excited, yes. But I'm as much in the dark about 3/18 as everybody else.

  4. I think so! ... maybe? Only here can people overspeculate a known coming attraction back into rumor status!
  5. I thought planes had plenty of room to get over/around Kings Island on their way to CVG, Lunken, or the county airports? Oh, well.
  6. How'd you guess!?! The B&M was well-guarded, but the Gigabathrooms were iron-clad!
  7. It's still good for scaring coaster n00bs on AE into thinking its part of that ride... well, it worked for me once or twice in the past (albeit very, very briefly)...
  8. Boy, that map's missing one Hel of a big section......... [ducks a tomato] I wonder what the map of the future will look like, when everyone has his/her own iPad... just use your imagination
  9. Ok. Diamondback. Not for the amazing drops, hills, speed and turns, but for the restraint system. I know it's fail-safe, diligently inspected and maintained, and would require sheer, brute force to overcome the "clicks". I'm just one of those who have read about "micro-fractures" and "metallurgic impurities" that somehow get by the most intense scrutiny and start thinking: "What are the odds?... Naaah." (The 'Naaah' comes usually at about the MCBR). Other than that, it's a great ride, let me tell you!
  10. Maybe members of the cast plan a reunion/visit a' la the "Bradys" a few years ago? (This episode was titled "I Left My Heart in Cincinnati." There was a line in the episode where either Keith or Danny asks a local girl if she wanted to go out and see the town; which, to us locals, was funny because that would have meant a gas station, a powder factory, and acre upon acre of rolling, pastoral farmland. )
  11. Freudian slip? Anyway, recently it has had a lot less downtown, as the KI Blog so aptly told us... Oh, give the guy a brake.
  12. Copper wiring, perhaps? Even then, man, that's a lot of wire.
  13. Uh, oh! A MOD checked my site... I'd better put my real picture back up LOL

  14. I'm thinking outside the box here: What if it's a lake? (going off of ds440's idea of placement)
  15. I like the XLerator dryers. If you cup your hands just right, it sounds like a screaming Banshee, or a petulant child at any given Walmart checkout.
  16. What year is the HB picture from? I notice there's no compass atop Enchanted Voyage. I wonder when they added that? As always, amazing pictures!
  17. Tick tock. Off season. Tick tock. Off season. Tick tock..

  18. I already said this elsewhere, ...but it looks to me like.... A Sea Monster! Arrrrrrggghhhh!!! But, really, it is always exciting to see planning of any kind going on over there. Can't wait to find out what it is.
  19. I'd love to see that! And, somehow put in some small, artificial waterways to resemble the San Antonio Riverwalk, or the 'River' in the Gaylord Opryland Resort, with little bridges, gondola rides, fountains, etc. It'd be awesome if this was somehow worked in a way that it connected KI with GWL. It would give the park that 'resort' feel it seems to be missing.
  20. It's not a bad venue for concerts by bands that aren't exactly 'headliners' (Collective Soul comes to mind). I've learned over the years that if an act isn't full-out 'mainstream', you can hold a concert in venues of virtually any reasonable size depending on the level of promotion given to the show. I'd love to see a smooth jazz show there someday, though.
  21. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! : )

  22. TOPGUN1993, Windshawne, Avatar and many others:These pictures and movies are priceless! I wish I could express how much it means to me to be able to come to KIC and see pictures from the Kings Island I remember from years past. (While I was overseas, my parents went through an ugly divorce, in the bitterness of which, all of my family's photo albums, scrapbooks, souvenirs, etc. were destroyed and/or thrown away, lost forever. I could nothing about it.) But through the miracle of modern technology, and your generous sharing of your precious mementos, I can kind of 'go back' in my mind, and 'piece together' memories of happier times, which I always tie to Kings Island, because that's just where we would always go. Thanks^1000000!
  23. That's a good point. I'm sure it will all blend together aesthetically, once the railings and landscaping are finished. [edit] oh, and the attraction, of course...
