  1. If I remember correctly or if I can find it saved on my computer, someone put up a picture of the loop sitting in the parking lot after it had been dismantled.
  2. Remember how the TVs left in The Beast station looked last year? Those TVs would mostly be broken by now, and the Pantel TVs that are in DB's line are really expensive, they'd need to sell quite a few Fast Lane wristbands to make up for the cost of just one. http://panteltv.com/...orproducts.html Wow I really had no idea those TV's cost that much. Thanks for posting that link, very interesting. Mmmmm......Skyline Chili-Vision.
  3. I am going to just sit back and watch this topic grow, my thoughts on this topic have been revealed one too many times on these forums. Viva La Paramount!!
  4. For me it is probably The Beast with a close second being Racer. I used to marathon that bad boy non stop when they had the backwards side running.
  5. Diamondback is far from rough. It is by far the smoothest coaster at Kings Island and as many have said, even in Ohio. (Milly does give it a run for its money though) Just because you feel a vibration does not mean it is losing it's touch, you are just simply used to a smooth as glass ride and with time that is going to disappear. IMO the ride will always be smooth, will it be as smooth as it was when it opened? No.
  6. From researching and looking at the guest policies as well as reading up on people's experiences with a cast, there is a good chance he will be able to ride. I guess we will find out today.
  7. So me and two of my friends will be heading to the Point tomorrow through Tuesday and I have read their ride policies for people with casts but I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with a cast and attempting to ride all the rides. His cast does not extend past his elbow and barely goes half way up his forearm so I was wondering how this would work out on a majority of the rides. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Speak of the devil, I will be there Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Tomorrow we are just going to catch about 2 hours of the park but we will be staying the full two days at the park on Monday and Tuesday.
  9. With the addition of a Screaming Swing we would now almost be mirror images with Cedar Point in terms of thrill rides, MaXair-Delirium, WindSeeker's, both have drop rides, and then we would both have screaming swings. Just doesn't sound logical to me.
  10. "It's still the longest to me da**it!"
  11. That same rough seat I was sitting in, if you sit in the middle of the car off of the wheel it gives the smoothest ride I have ever had on that coaster. Au contraire.
  12. The other day I sit in the roughest seat I have ever had on The Beast, I cannot recall what the exact row and seat number were but I do know that is almost dead middle of the train. It is in the section where the yellow arrows are painted on the floor that tell you to angle right into your seat. If you sit in the back row of that car it beats the crap out of you. I have now become accustomed to riding in that seat every time I ride, I think that is what makes The Beast fun.
  13. Those VHS/DVD's caught my eye. The Roller Coaster Thrills series is a must own for any coaster enthusiast, I have the very first one but can never find the second one. I actually might make a bid on that one.
  14. Rode it once as it opened at 1 yesterday, we were the first cycle of the day. Really do not think I will ride it much more than that, the wait seemed long and the only time I will ride it is either during ERT or at night. If I ride it at night and do not ride The Beast at night it will be a miracle though.
  15. Wow, after watching that video I can understand why the high wind speeds would force this ride to close down. Thos seats do come really close to each other, and I now see why the backs of the seats say to not extend your legs.
  16. Today It was going slowly up and down the tower, but not real noticeable spinning from what I saw. When I was in line for The Beast and watching the fireworks from the station it did not appear that WindSeeker's tower was lit up like it normally is, my eyes could have also been deceiving me. I do have one question though, how come only some of the dummies have legs? Are the doing this to see how close the legs will come to a certain point or what?
  17. In my past experiences the longest lines are usually Maverick, Raptor, and Milly. Top Thrill usually has a fast moving line but can get long every now and then. The past couple times I went they had an employee in front of Magnums station entrance only allowing a select few people in so that made it go by quick.
  18. Keep those videos coming, I love watching footage and looking at pictures from my favorite days of the park.
  19. I would give it a 7. Opening day had its hiccups but that is to be expected, and since then it has been pretty good everytime I have been to the park. I cannot wait for the summer to get in full swing.
  20. Well I have hit KI opening day, and now with my work schedule being ridiculous I probably won't get to go as much as I want too. I also plan on hitting Cedar Point a couple of times, and Holiday World. With gas being the way it is though and me living 240 miles round trip from KI, I really don't know how much park visiting I will be doing after all.
  21. Does the Diamondback webcam still alternate views or it is just a stationary view?
  22. I would love to see some testing today and then maybe turn on the light package tonight an let it run.
  23. Same here, although I did see my Raven t-shirt getting a lot of pointed looks. I wasn't sure whether to say something or not, though, since I did see a Voyage t-shirt or two there as well... Or were there just a lot of enthusiasts at the park? Or is Holiday World actually popular around Cincinnati, and I've just never noticed it before? Wearing a Coastermania hoodie got a lot of looks and even started some conversations. Wow, that was no way that was you wearing that hoodie. Did you go into the Diamondback single rider's line not too long before opening? No that was not me, I never entered the single rider lines.
