  1. Rumors are going around that Universal Studios Orlando could be getting a new Intamin launch coaster. Recently, Universal released and signed a Notice of Commencement that said the contractor was Intamin. What do you guys think this might be? Or do you think this really isn't anything? Let me know below.
  2. I would love to see an entrance at KI similar to Carowinds or Cedar Point! Couldn't agree more with what you said.
  3. I'm assuming not, but is it possible to get cards from the first series?
  4. I think he means that the fast operations were over for Banshee
  5. What one element on any Kings Island coaster is your favorite? My personal favorite ride element at Kings Island is either Diamondback's camelbacks or the twisted drop on Mystic Timbers. Feel free to discuss your thoughts below.
  6. Can we consider Sol Spin as a "Family Thrill Attraction"? Can we consider Mystic Timbers as a "Family Thrill Attraction"? The statement was very vague, and could really mean anything. Could be a flat ride, coaster, or as far as we know, it could be a walk-through thing. But the fact that the other rides say coaster means that KI will most likely not be getting a coaster. Very sad time for coaster enthusiasts at KI. My hope is that they are doing all of these small additions and then adding an amazing coaster. But every year we are like, "It's going to come next year" and then it doesn't. I really hope that KI adds some real good coasters in the near future, but there is that tiny bit of doubt in the back of my mind. Anyway, hopefully KI will add a new thrill coaster in the next 5 years.
  7. There are so many things that would be a good addition to Kings Island. Here are a few big ones: Rides: 1. A new B&M wing coaster or dive coaster would fit well in the park, you could put this in The Vortex plot by The Beast (Think of walking down Coney Mall and seeing this new ride looming in the distance). 2. A ground-up RMC Son of Beast. So much woods to work with, and tons of space to work with. 3. A dark roller coaster similar to Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Orlando 4. A Mack Rides Striker Coaster similar to Voltron at Europa Park. This model is epic and if it is anything similar to Voltron, this could be Kings Island's next best ride. 5. A Mack Rides indoor/outdoor water coaster similar to Journey to Atlantis at Seaworld Orlando 6. A Premier Rides multi-pass launch coaster with a spike and inversions Food: 1. The food is pretty good already with a good variety, but if they upgraded their burgers to be extra smoked, that would be great. 2. Maybe add a good themed dining location (For example, a space-themed sit-down restaurant). Special Events: 1. Have more rides open during Winterfest (Kudos to KI for opening more rides this year). 2. Add more family-type things to do during the Halloween Haunt Park Revisions 1. Do something with the old Action Zone (Whether that be re-theme or what. You could do a whole scary section with both Banshee, Bat, and a possible RMC Son of Beast?) 2. Retire Invertigo and Congo River Falls (sorry to the Invertigo lovers) and replace it with something new. 3. Redo the front entrance. It kind of looks old and plain, and could be renovated There are a couple of them! Thanks for the opportunity to respond and have a great day!!!
  8. The level of thought that Universal puts into their parks and attractions is crazy (look at Epic Universe). If Six Flags could do the same for Kings Island, that would be amazing. Six Flags doesn't usually put as much theming into their rides and attractions (not saying there are no rides with theming). Being more realistic though, definitely Dollywood. Dollywood's staff is very friendly and kind to everyone. They are not like some of the other theme parks I've been to where the employees have absolutely no idea where anything is. So, I think that Kings Island should look to Dollywood for inspiration.
  9. I think that The Beast should run during Winterfest, but I can see why they wouldn't run it. The Beast is older and might get worn down faster if it runs in the winter. This would also allow for some more amazing night rides on the legendary Beast!!! If they opened a few other rides, it would definitely bring a lot more people to KI during Winterfest because there are more rides open. They should do what Carowinds does with their rides. Kudos to KI for allowing more rides to be open, though! Out of personal bias, I would love for Diamondback to be open, but realistically, The Beast would be great!
