  1. Yes, a few weeks into last season they changed it. Honestly, they gave you so much food, I was surprised it wasn't that originally. A ton of people got double Orange Chicken (including me ), so they often ran out. I know some people that shared a meal plan and often went there because of the plentiful amount of food you got. Then they were upset that they changed it, because you couldn't really share a meal. But, Meal Plans aren't meant to be shared, so I would say a good decision on KI's part for limiting the food, as there was way to much to begin with. I wasn't complaining though
  2. Dumb question: I've always purchased a meal plan online, but I was curious if you could buy it in the park. Obviously, you can get it from Guest Services, but Is there anywhere else inside the park? Can you buy it in places like Coney BBQ?
  3. you know it's the offseason when... people get so excited about something, ANYTHING happening at KI that they forget to check the reliability of the source before sharing it with everyone
  4. It just popped up now! This is going to be my new background! Not sure if you did anything to it, but thanks for looking into it! I appreciate it!
  5. A couple of points to start us off! So I remember last year there was a sign sitting next to the Diamondback Coke Refresh Station say that ICEEs were coming to that location. I then remembered after a long time that they got some pre-made ICEE thing. I wasn't sure if this was it or not. In my mind, I thought they would be getting a whole new ICEE machine to put in there. Anyone think there will be a new bar put in by the end of the year? I really wish that the Feestyle machines were always open and had everything stocked. I really liked the way Universal does it, which is great. The machines are always stocked and they scan a chip at the bottom of the cup so that people can't cheat the system. If you still have some time left on your drink plan, it would then tell you how much time was left. But then I tell myself, "whoa there. You're comparing Universal to Kings Island" I'm not entirely sure if this is exclusive to Universal, or if others have it. If you did this with the Freestyles at Kings Island, it would allow for less scanning at the front of the line (which could eliminate the long lines during the summer) and allows for more drinking fast and easy. Win-win in my opinion. Although, I'm not sure if there is an added cost to this if it isn't Universal exclusive. Overall, I really love the Freestyle machines a lot, and has drinks everyone enjoys! Last year I had a super good waffle fry basket from Soak City, that I don't normally have. It was soft, warm, and had the right amount of crispy on the edges. I was actually surprised by this, and thought it was worth getting with my burger. I'm hoping they are able to bring back that amazing batch of fries!
  6. So is it the same exact thing as before with a name change?
  7. Thanks! Yeah ever since I joined KIC (November 19, 2024) it hasn't worked. It could be just a me thing, although it has never worked on my end.
  8. I'm somewhat new around here (VERY new compared to others) so forgive me if it's been answered before. I was curious why the Diamondback background doesn't work. Is there just not a picture able to be on here, or is it something else? Just curious. It would also be cool to see a Banshee background as well
  9. The one in Action Zone is never open when I'm there, so it's their loss if they weren't open. I feel like Dippin Dots are losing their spark in theme parks. Sad, but true
  10. Iron Gwazi has one of the most negative G moments and it's a 48' height requirement. Like you said, it is entirely on how the restraints are. That's why I was mentioning if it would change other Vest Restraint rides.
  11. They should add a drink station like in Rivertown right there in Area 72. There's virtually no shade in that area, and it can get really hot after waiting in line for Orion or waiting outside for party members to get off. You can get drinks there, but I feel a designated spot for drinks would be good for that area.
  12. According to Disney, you can repaint it or add some theming changes and you could call it a new ride!
  13. Interesting. I know Rapterra came out with a 48' height requirement, which was unusual because of the original 52' height requirement for all coasters with Vest Restraints. Holiday World was then notified by B&M that they could lower the height requirement from 52' to 48'. I'll be curious to see if any other Vest Restraint coasters get lowered (Banshee, Valravn, GateKeeper, etc.) Here's the Screamscape article: https://screamscape.com/html/holiday_world.htm
  14. Yeah that's just the thing: I don't know when I'll go. I'm very grateful that I was able experience Cosmic Rewind on opening day, and that ride completely blew me away with no spoilers. But, it was the opening day, and there were no spoilers out. I ended up watching the Ministry queue, which was really cool! I heard that people are saying Battle at the Ministry is better than Monsters Unchained, which was highly praised (It is now open. Still, no on ride photos are allowed on any rides, yet some still risk their jobs and video the ride ). Regardless of when I visit Epic, at least I still have a Kings Island pass and I'm able to visit this amazing park whenever I want!
  15. Well, I knew this day would be coming soon...Epic Universe videos are out. Universal has now allowed select people to take videos, but still no on rides. Not sure if all of these videos were allowed by Universal, so some may be taken of of YT soon. WARNING! THERE ARE SPOILERS AHEAD! Above are some videos of the park, specifically Dark Universe and Battle at the Ministry. Included in this "spoiler box" is the queue of Battle at the Ministry video, Monsters Unchained pre-show, and even a Monsters Unchained pov of the ride. I still haven't decided if I want to see the videos or not, but I included them below in case some of you guys wanted to see it. I want to see them SO BAD, but also want it to be a surprise when I go.
  16. You could do a multi launch coaster that has two launches. The first part is orange, and the second launch is green. Have there be some top hat like Storm Runner at Hersheypark and the second launch start at the front gate. Think of that view at the parking lot and just seeing it zoom by during the second launch. Not only would it look cool from the front gate, but it would get the guests hyped up for a really fun day when seeing this cool fast launching coaster! This would kinda be like Velocicoaster's slow turnaround before hitting the second launch.
  17. who "had" too much Skyline this morning Anyway, loved your joke
  18. Another Siren's Curse update! That building next to the exit is a retail location, which was confirmed in the video.
  19. It's always got to be Diamondback. Always has been, always will. Back row-right sight is preferred
  20. This wording reminds me of Carowinds: "where the Carolinas come together" I wouldn't be surprised if they just cropped out the words "the Carolinas" and replaced it with "Ohio"
  21. It all depends on who's working on the ride at a specific time. The crew last year did a decent job, but there were some times when it definitely lagged in operations. I've always said that Banshee is/should be a line eater as well as Diamondback and Orion. For those unfamiliar with the term, a "line eater" is defined as thus: Line Eater-A roller coaster or attraction that is able to "eat" a line and decrease the wait time due to high rider capacity. Examples could be Diamondback, Orion, or literally any B&M! A "line holder" is similar to a "line eater", but slightly different: Line Holder-A roller coaster or attraction that holds many people in line and is sometimes a very popular ride. It doesn't have a high capacity compared to other rides. This line sometimes takes away from the other lines, making them shorter. Examples could be Flight of Fear, Top Thrill Dragster/TT2, any type of shuttle coaster, Steel Vengeance with one or two trains, and probably Siren's Curse when it opens (these are just a few) All that said, hopefully Banshee can still be a line eater. I remember during the Haunt last year when the lines are already insane and Banshee was running one train. It was disastrous. I don't think people mind waiting in the brake run for a minute or less, but if something is wrong, those Vest Restraints make it really hard to breath and it starts getting really hot (I don't know why they used Vest Restraints on Banshee. I'd rather have the regular Over the Head). I'd prefer them to run 3 trains, but if they have to, I can live with 2.
  22. I think on a non-crazy busy day, you don't even need a whole day at Studios. You could even split it Volcano Bay/Studios or Studios/Islands that 5th day if you wanted to save money. But, most people making a once-in-a-lifetime trip down to Florida want to experience everything and go several days without worrying about money as much as the annual visitor.
  23. I believe Railblazer is not welded together, rather held together by bolts. I watched a POV of the ride and it has these sections of like 2 sections of 8 bolts every 20 feet or so like Stunt Pilot has. I also think that Railblazer is a prototype ride, as it was the first RMC raptor.
