  1. While I am not a huge Haunt guy, I try to make it out there twice every season. I am excited this year, and look forward to what is coming this next season. I love the fog, lights, and sometimes the music (it can get repetitive). But...not really looking forward to the long lines. I'm going to try and get lots of rides in the coming months before Haunt season starts. But overall, looking forward to this fun and scary time of the year!
  2. Now it makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!
  3. "Benefit may vary by park" - This will be very interesting... I'm curious what the prices are for these new passes and if they will end up costing more. Then maybe the Silver Pass will become the old gold pass for just one park? Also, looks like you get two single use Fast Lanes with the pass, but you can't use it during Haunt and it excludes Alpenfury
  4. Why would parties entering the single rider line be bad if they were okay with splitting up? When I go to Universal or Disney we all enter the single rider line because we don't mind splitting up. It's a great way to save time if you don't care about splitting up. We always did single rider for Smuggler's Run unless we were with other people who wanted to go in standby. It was never longer than 5 minutes. And if the line ever got too long, the attendant at the front would close the line. I'm not sure if I understand your statement.
  5. Yes this is correct. There used to be only paid lockers, but now they provide small lockers for free like SteVe and Siren's Curse. You can also pay for the bigger lockers needed. Like stated above, Siren's Curse has free lockers as well
  6. The problem is, they don't care about KI because they don't pay a lot for passes. That's why so many people only go once with a pass. They don't care if the price goes up, because someone buys it for them. People who get Disney passes don't stand up on rides or jump fences to get their belongings or steal drinks because they know Disney could take away their passes. The first time I went to Disneyland a man stood up on Big Thunder and was banned for life...until pass prices go up or there is some sort of consequence, people won't care a single bit. People only think about themselves and are really selfish. That's who they are, and that's who they care about! People don't think about the consequences anymore. They will keep stealing until something is done, which nothing ever will be done. And like mentioned above, KI must not care that much, or something would have been done already.
  7. That's exactly what I get lol! Couldn't agree more. GO HERE!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: these suggestions were when TT2 was down and Siren's Curse wasn't there I'll break it down for you so you don't have to read an essay lol: Get there for Early Entry and maybe even before that. Early entry is a perfect opportunity to get lots of rides in. REMEMBER: Early Entry at CP is an hour, not 20 minutes like KI. Early Entry coasters are GateKeeper, Millie, and Iron Dragon. As soon as they let you in, get to GateKeeper. We rode it two or three times because it was a walk on. Recommend left-side back row or right-side front row After your two or three GateKeeper rides, walk fast to Millie. Pass Iron Dragon. Not that great, not worth the ERT. We got two rides in on Millie, but it depends on how fast you walk. You want to be done with Millie between 9:30-9:45. After Millie, you now should have 4-6 rides done (3 GateKeeper, 2 Millie for me). After that, again walk fast to Maverick and wait for it to open. Ride Maverick twice, and head over to Steel Vengeance. Ride that twice if the line isn't long. After Steel Vengeance we had 9 rides done by 10:30! We needed some water after that lol And then after Steel Vengeance, maybe do a Magnum ride or Cedar Creek Mine Ride if you want. Your early morning execution was a success if you made it this far! We did it one Friday morning (May 17 of last year) and did everything I just listed. After this, it's up to you on what you want to do next. The lines will be longer at this point, but the lines are usually worth it for these world-class roller coasters. Now this doesn't account for TT2 or Siren's Curse. I haven't been there this year yet, so does someone know what has higher capacity TT2 or Siren's Curse? I'd probably say you have three options after riding Millie for ERT: Do what I did before TT2 or Siren's Curse and head to Maverick/Steel Vengeance. They get really long lines, get them out of the way first Head over to TT2 and try and get on that just as the park opens. The ride tends to break down a lot, so getting on it early can be good. BUT-you run the risk of it not being open right at 10:00 kinda like FoF at KI. It's a high-risk high-reward situation. The same could be said for going to Siren's Curse. Somewhat lower capacity. They're still working out the kinks and the maintenance issues.Unreliable just like TT2 at the moment. Once again, high-risk high-reward. You won't be the only one going here though. If you do decide to go to Siren's Curse or TT2 after Millie, I'd recommend riding the other next. There's no point in running back to Maverick or Steel Vengeance, the people have already gotten back there. You'll have to wait it out on those lines. Hope you have a great trip, and let me know if you have any further questions!
  8. I've heard about and seen these collapsible cups and really like the idea. I'm definitely bringing one down when I go to Epic later this summer. It is too bad though that people justify stealing. "It's just a Coke, no big deal!" If everyone says that, it is a big deal. And here we are...
  9. @RollerColt-Loved to hear your experience! I will be up there in August for the first time (to Epic) and I can't wait! I will be at the other parks, but I've been to them so many times (40 times roughly in one year. I used to have a season pass when I lived in Florida). Couple of questions if you don't mind me asking: 1. Which food places did you enjoy most at Epic? 2. What was your favorite ride? 3. Did you participate in Early Entry for Epic? What did you do first and how did it go? 4. Weird question: What time did the park close when you visited Epic? If it was at 9:00, did some of the rides stay open until 10:00?
  10. @BeeastFarmer that is correct. ERT at KI is different from Soak City. I've been 3 times for ERT this year and the whole park has always been open. You then go to one of the ERT rides and show your pass. They see it, then let you in line for the ride. What @CartersCoasters is referring to is the line up of regular people outside a ride waiting until 10:00. They should not have been blocking the pathway for passholders, so that would be the fault of the crew member working for not moving them out of the way
  11. I heard about the power outage today from a friend that is there. Apparently Bat, Banshee, Racer, and Express were all down because of power
  12. I noticed the same pot hole that you did. I swear it's more than a pot hole, it might be a boulder just sitting there on the track...it hurts real bad
  13. If I'm correct, this new Vekoma model was presented last year. And from my understanding of this Screamscape article, Vekoma has just now listed their new "Suspended Dark Ride" on their website. According to the article, this is rumored for Dollywood's new ride. So why do I put it on this thread? I was thinking, "hmm...you know what? This fits just right into the 'family thrill attraction' category, so is it out of the realm of possibility for KI to add one of these?" This is personally something I'd love to see based on the video, and would like to see there be an interactive part of the ride too. This would probably have to go in the Crypt building, or else replace Boo Blasters. What do you guys think of this possible addition? 14. I got the chance to visit Holiday World for my 6th visit this past Thursday. As usual, I had a blast and enjoyed this amazing theme park! It had been 2 years since my last visit, so there were a couple things that were new. For this trip report, I will just talk about each part of my day: Opening-There were not many crowds at opening and it was super easy to get through security (HW now has these new metal detectors like Disney does. It boxes all of the metal items for the security guard to see and they can decided whether they want to look at it or not. Makes the process so much faster). We were like the first 30 groups in, so we made our way to the the Halloween entrance for rope drop. You can also go to 4th of July rope drop, which is better if your trying to ride Voyage, T-Bird, or Good Gravy! But we wanted to get a locker first in the water park because the last time we were there, there was only one spot to order the lockers and get a wristband and the line was sooooo long. Which leads me to my next section: Lockers-There is no longer one singular place you have to get lockers-you can now buy a locker at each individual station and just enter your code instead of the previous wristband. You also had to enter your locker number before entering your code. First Hour of Ops-Before the water park opened (11:00) we had an hour to get as many rides in as we could, so we headed for Voyage. The line was a super crowded station wait (there is no attendant telling people which row so it's just a massive crowd of people) but wasn't that bad at all. Rode T-Bird before heading into the water park at 11:00. Splashin' Safari-After getting our bathing suits on, we headed straight for Mammoth because it usually always has the longest line. We waited roughly 45 minutes for it before getting on and having a really fun ride. Not all the boats/rafts were on at first, so that contributed to our wait time. We then went to Wildebeest and waited probably 35-45 minutes or so. BUT, it should have taken 10 minutes because the line was short. BUT, there was this group of teenage kids who were riding the slide and they valleyed or something and the safety check came on. So the ride broke down and it took a good 15 minutes to start it back up. But when someone valleys they let them ride again. So these teenage kids get on the ride again and when they're on the ride THEY BREAK IT AGAIN!!! Somehow they ended up backwards???? Don't ask me how you do that on Wildebeest...Anyway, the ride got running again and we got on it. I remember it having more airtime than when we rode it recently, but it was still great. After that, another water coaster: Cheetah Chase. This one was like 30 minutes long and I really enjoyed this and it's speed after riding RIverRacers Rode a couple tube slides with little waits and went on Cheetah Chase before it broke down too. Waited like 35 minutes this time. By this time it was dinner time, so we headed back over to the dry side to eat and do some more coasters. Dry Side At Night-We went to Plymouth Rock Cafe, which is a great option. Kinda like Coney BBQ, just Thanksgiving food. The food was a little dry, but I forgot to ask for gravy...I thought it came with it automatically! Otherwise pretty good! After dinner we went to Legend to ride that and it was smoother than I remember. Not as loud too. Decent ride, although not as good as Voyage. Next was Raven, which had just opened when we got there. Went towards the middle to hopefully get a smoother ride....WRONG! Every seat on this ride is terrible. I used to be able to tolerate Raven, but holy cow THIS WAS BAD! This needs RMC or some miracle treatment or else it SHOULD be torn down. What a terrible ride! (I didn't think it was too bad my last few rides in previous years, but this ride was BAD) Anyway, went back to Thanksgiving after ice cream and a stunt show. Rode Voyage, then the rest of my party went to Gobbler Getaway. I like Gobbler Getaway, but it was getting close to close and I wanted the credit, so I went and rode Good Gravy! Smooth, fun family ride, I think it's better than Soapbox Racers, but that's just me. The queue Is what does it for me. Rode T-Bird 2 more times (no line) and then 2 more rides on Voyage (no line. In fact, you could just stay on). I learned that Thanksgiving rides actually don't close until 9:00 that night (8:00 close, 8:50 drone show) so if you didn't care about the drone show, then you could ride longer. Drone Show-The drone show was Holidays in the Sky, and it was pretty good! HW has the best drone show out of everyone, and they care much about the show. Spectacular how they program the drone to do what they do. A few even shot firework out of them, which I thought was really cool! One drone did fall out of the sky though... Overall Thoughts-Very fun day at Holiday World and enjoyed almost every moment...besides the breakdowns. Water park was very refreshing. I'd rate the whole day a 8.5/10
  15. Single Rider Lines are at a few parks (particularly Universal) and work at some, while not working at others. Do you think KI would benefit from Single Rider Lines or would it be a bad investment?
  16. I mean, if KI didn't get the 2026 promised ride (or any other park), that would be crushing for SIX and things would go down hill from there. But, if we didn't get one in 2026, then we would really have something to complain about and maybe they would give us something bigger and better (Tilt coaster maybe?)...yeah no that's not happening. If we lose the 2026 ride, we may not see another one in a while.
  17. I really like that CP put some effort into the theming. They could have just left the ride sitting on concrete, but they actually incorporated a story and added some water features and more. CP really did a good job on this coaster, and I think a ton of people are getting excited to ride it. I know I am! Next time I'm there (hopefully this summer) I will definitely ride Siren's Curse and press my luck with TT2 (both I haven't ridden yet) On a separate note, I think that if Siren's Curse is successful and doesn't have a ton of downtime, then we could definitely see some more of these pop up, which I think KI is at the top of the list for a new thrill coaster like this. 18. A little tip for Epic: look at wait times at "closing" time and a little after... That's all I'm going to say. I've been checking every night for the last 4 nights and noticed something after the park "closed"
  19. For those who have been to the park recently, is Banshee back up to 3 trains yet?
  20. If you gotta go you gotta go I guess
