  1. I personally don't really care to do TC:BF, so if it drives people away from the ride lines, I'm all for it!
  2. This ride looks really fun and the part that makes me the most excited is the white water rapids part. Eugene Naughton (CEO of Dollywood) said that there would be over 500,000 gallons of water used. I'm curious to see how wet you will get on this ride. I also really like the part in the video when the lights on the boat go out and the ride drops. This is a very cool concept and REALLY cool theming ($50 million of course). I'm also curious about how long the "coaster element" will be in this ride. Not sure if it will be a short little segment splashdown like Journey to Atlantis (Seaworld Orlando) or something bigger like a water coaster. You can see some coaster track in the background, but that doesn't mean it will actually look like that. Finally, I'm wondering if the "soaring over the Smokies" part will utilize screens like a motion simulator-type thing, or if it will be more like a coaster. Those are just my first thoughts after watching the announcements a couple times today. This is a very cool ride, and I think it will be a big hit at the park!
  3. It looks very cool indeed! Can't wait to hear more about this! Dollywood says, "Expanding on Dollywood's Wildwood Grove, NightFlight Expedition is a groundbreaking hybrid coaster and whitewater river ride with Cora and Jasper Oakley leading you on an extraordinary journey to discover the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake. Embarking on a daring journey aboard remarkable vehicles, adventurers will experience four thrilling experiences in a first-of-its-kind attraction as they fly through the Smokies, conquer raging rapids, climb mountain peaks and glide across a shimmering lake. Follow the roots and light the way!" Here are the stats:
  4. Epic got a decent amount of Golden Ticket Awards, with Stardust as best new ride, Ministry got best new attraction, and Monsters got best dark ride (previously Rise of the Resistance) and Darkmoor got best new themed area. Personally, I think Rise is better than Monsters, but that's just my opinion. Congrats Epic!
  5. I agree! I don't think I would care if it went in Action Zone or in The Vortex plot, but I definitely want a new gen Vekoma coaster (a tilt would be an added bonus!). Siren's Curse is so good and smooth, and the on-board audio makes the ride so much better. A good punchy launch coaster would be really good too, preferably from Vekoma. I love the things Vekoma has been coming out with lately, and they can do some pretty cool theming as well. When I rode Siren's Curse the first time, I was surprised at how much theming went into that ride. If KI does get a new coaster eventually, I hope there will be room in the budget for some decent theming.
  6. I agree. Those Area 72 bathrooms are terrible. My last visit only one bathroom of the two was open, and it took forever for a person in my party to get to the front and be able to go to the bathroom. They need some legit bathrooms here, not some family restrooms like they have now
  7. When did they stop having physical passes? I got mine 3 years ago and just kept it but I also know someone that got one last December. Hopefully they keep working as time goes on, because having one is really nice.
  8. Announcement on September 17th! Super excited! We pretty much know what it is going to be, it's just a question of what it will do. https://www.wbir.com/article/entertainment/events/dolly-parton-new-dollywood-attraction-2026-launch/51-01d4e487-b48c-47ae-9c02-8b3efb16ba7b
  9. Yes, definitely. I collect them like many of you and have over 50 of them from different parks. Yes, Disney still does maps. I also don't like my pass being on my phone so I have a physical pass I bring with me every time I go. It's just so inconvenient to pull up the app-a way around that is taking a picture of it, but I still don't like pulling my phone out every time I want a drink or food. But I definitely like having my physical pass because it makes it so much easier.
  10. Good to know! I'll have to try it next time I go! Thanks @IndyGuy4KI and @DonHelbig for your input!
  11. I always said countless times I wasn't going to try and play and get mad at the blasters for not working, but I always ended up playing anyway
  12. I saw somebody with the Pep and Chee yesterday, and it looked really good! Is it as good as it looks? Also, I saw when I ate at Coney BBQ last Sunday that they had the corn souffle as a side. I found this interesting because normally they only offer it during Winterfest, but I'm not complaining!
  13. Or just regular brisket at Coney BBQ like CP had at Back Beat Que. I'm not a fan of burnt ends, but I love the brisket at CP!
  14. How can Pantherian be an MVP? It's not a player or a pass, so not sure where they were going with that. But they don't really care, they just want your money. Anyway, back on topic-I think there is a very real chance that we may see Invertigo leave next season for "future expansion" and it may not get replaced for another 2-3 years or so. I think Invertigo has less time than The Bat does. More kids can ride The Bat after they lowered the height requirement, and it sees some long lines on occasional weekends. Invertigo costs more to operate (at least I think) and it consistently has lower popularity than The Bat does. I can remember only a few souvenirs that actually had Invertigo on it (besides the souvenirs that have all the rides). All that said, I think Invertigo and Congo Falls could go without a major complaint as long as it is going to be replaced soon. Like I said before, I'm mostly okay with them taking out old rides (unless it's a really good one like Beast) but they must be replaced, or it will hurt the park in several ways. Losing Congo Falls means one less water ride (which creates longer lines for the other ones) and losing Invertigo gives guests one less option of something to do. Sure, it may save money. But will it increase guest satisfaction? That's what they really should care about
  15. I was there yesterday and the extended queue was there as well. I waited roughly 50 minutes
  16. I hadn't been in over a month, so I wasn't sure.
  17. Not much happening behind the Crypt building that can be seen Also, does anyone know the history behind this sign? Is it a reference to Steel Vengeance? It says, "powerful enough to drill through steel...with VENGEANCE"
  18. Saw this yesterday-looks like some hanging cables. Not sure what it was for, but it looked out of place.
  19. You're right! Why not make it the tallest, fastest, longest, stock drop FUN has ever seen!
  20. I'm going on Sunday so I'll see if it's any better on the weekend
  21. Yeah that's bad. Lovely cost synergies
  22. Wow, I don't think I've heard a crazier one than that!
  23. Me too! I ended up getting nothing from Epic, but I would have totally gotten a Stardust shirt if they had one
