  1. From my experience on water coasters, a little shake here and there is not rare. In fact, it's somewhat common. I remember riding Cheetah Chase at HW when it first opened and it was kind of shaky. Although, I've never seen one of those types of bowls before on water coasters, so that could be it. Not sure though.
  2. I have lots of Made to Thrill posters and love them! They are a little different than the ones you have though...I have Mystic, Diamondback, Orion, Fury 325, TT2, Steel Vengeance, and Maverick for Made to Thrill posters.
  3. Well, opening day at Epic today. From lots of live streams I've been watching from 7:30 this morning, SO many people are trying to get on Battle at the Ministry. Not too long ago, Battle at the Ministry was posted at 300 minutes (5 hours). Meanwhile, Monsters was a walk on an hour ago, and Minecart Madness is only about 25 minutes! It seems everyone is at Ministry
  4. And because it's in a building, we won't necessarily know what is actually going in there. Sure, we may see some track/pieces of a ride, but we probably won't know the layout or anything of that sort until the announcement or some sort of leak/permit happens. I'm really excited to see what is coming, and think this is a good use of that empty space (at least it's not used until Haunt). I think a dark ride would be great for KI, and fills an empty spot that they don't really have, except for maybe Boo Blasters. If we got some interactive dark ride, that would be really cool! It would fit in to the "family thrill attraction" and the Crypt building would be a great space for that. They do already have Boo Blasters, but it's really outdated. If you got rid of Boo Blasters and then put an interactive dark ride in the Crypt building, then that leaves the Boo Blasters building for something less thrilling and more Snoopy-ish. You could theme this interactive dark ride to the Rivertown Mines where you enter the Rivertown Mining Company on a minecart and try to collect gold and diamonds. Or, you could have the minecart go "off track" and the bats (or some other monsters) start attacking you and you have to "blast" them to get rid of them. There are endless possibilities with an interactive dark ride, and would be fun for families to enjoy, while still being thrilling. I wouldn't mind a wild mouse dark ride like The Dark Knight or a spinning ride like Laff Track in darkness like @DJSkyFoxx said. But, I think I prefer the interactive dark ride. We shall just have to wait and see what ends up happening!
  5. They went with green rafts instead of the yellow rafts advertised. I personally think that the yellow rafts would have looked better with the light blue/turquoise side. Also, does anyone know if they will allow single riders to go down the slide, or always two people per raft? I know some places only allow even number riders (2 people in a 2 person raft), and leave odd-numbered families disappointed because they can't ride together or someone has to not ride from their group.
  6. Agreed! There are countless merch places to get stuff for almost every ride there. Plus, it's not all the same stuff in every store. I remember going to CP one time and thought, "I can just get this at the front" only to realize that it wasn't at the front like at KI, but located by Steel Vengeance
  7. Siren's Curse seems to be ahead of schedule, which is great! Testing has already begun, which could mean an earlier than thought opening! I'm guessing the next Siren's Curse Chronicles episode will feature Dave Evans or an executive at Cedar Point riding the ride, similar to TT2. Here's the video link:
  8. I known it's not everyone's favorite ride, but there's only one shirt for Adventure Express that I know of. Bat, Express, FoF, Stunt Coaster, and Invertigo all don't have very many things. Yes, they aren't the most popular rides compared to rides like Diamondback or Mystic, but I feel like they could use some more merch.
  9. Any guesses on what ride this is? I don't really understand the mass advertising for Silver Passes...how many people actually buy these? Everyone I know just gets the Gold Pass
  10. I also grey out occasionally right before the turnaround after the first drop...and for some weird reason I used to grey out during the helix on Orion. But, I've gotten over the grey out after riding it so many times. Doesn't happen much anymore. But I don't judge a ride on how much it makes me grey out, but by how much fun I had and the smile I wear after riding it!
  11. What were the other names for Fury and Orion?
  12. Yes, the double sided signs. I too wish parks made it easier to enjoy the park without being on your phone constantly Today was a better day than my previous two visits, and I got in a couple rides: Drop Tower, Banshee, Orion, and The Beast. The Beast Fast Lane line today was crazy, and was almost backed up all the way to the photo station. Also, Music in the Parks contributed to the crowds today, so the crowd level was understandable. Guess what was down today again? Yes, Stunt Coaster was once again down. What is it with this ride? Ever since the ride opened and got re-themed, it has been down constantly. Did they alter the ride in any way? I know the fire affect seems to be gone for good, but they didn't change anything else did they? Seems odd to me. Anyway, it ended up re-opening around 3:30 ish, but I didn't get around to riding it. I saw the new covered seating area today, and it looks really good! Obviously not complete yet, but I think guests will really benefit from this area. I also saw these new cups that KI seems to be using. They still use the older ones with the Legacy Cedar Fair parks on it, but this new cup seems to be the new Six Flags cup. Looks alright I guess, looks pretty standard. Doesn't have a SIX logo on it though, so I'm curious if there will be a new one, or if this is it. Also, what is up with the red train on Diamondback? They were running three train operations just fine yesterday, but today they had red train in the storage shed, and then added it back on a little while later. This is the same train that was off the track the first few weeks of operation, correct? Overall, today was better than my previous days, and I enjoyed the nice weather!
  13. So I know last year they added the screen in front of the ride on the big roller coasters (Mystic, Orion, D-Back, Banshee. These signs aren't even on 25% of the time, so why get them in the first place?) and these screens kiosks around the park. At first, I thought they would put wait times on the screens, but then I saw all that really plays is advertisements and seasonal event stuff (like Haunt). Do we know what these were supposed to be? In my opinion, I would love to see the wait times displayed on these, although the times are never really accurate anyway. Sure, you can always look on your phone, but I really like enjoying the park without having to constantly be on my phone for when the wait times drop. Universal is getting a lot of heat right now because guests are constantly having to be on their phones if they want to ride Battle at the Ministry. Hopefully they figure out this Virtual Line thing or just get rid of it all together. Enough of Universal, back to KI I don't really know the purpose of these signs, but they seem like they could be used in lots of better ways. You could even put out the weather forecast like they do on the TV's in the queue lines for rides (which they might already do that, I can't remember) or even inform the guests on what events/shows are going on later in the evening
  14. I wasn't there last Saturday, but the previous Saturday and Passholder Preview Day I was there. The crowds were super busy those first two weeks, and only got a ride on Beast and Diamondback both times before I had to leave. Last two weeks were Music in the Parks I think, so this is where crowds die down slightly before the summer crowds start rolling in.
  15. Seems like KI is in good shape to be ready for the summer crowds coming soon!
  16. Yes, I realized that after the fact Now it is open and still great operations!
  17. Great News! Diamondback is back up to three trains! Operations are great, the train is leaving the station before the 3rd train gets back in the break run (although the park just opened for passholders )
  18. I absolutely love that Holiday World does this, and hope they continue this tradition in the future. Having free drinks makes it super convienent to just get a drink on the go, and helps guests stay hydrated during those really hot days. The free drinks contribute to the whole environment at Holiday World, and that's what makes the park so special! Hopefully I can make it out there this summer!
  19. It definitely looks like the new structure/covering that they've been working on. Glad to see it! I may be going this Saturday, so I will check it out when I go next!
  20. So much for the concept art...you can hardly make out anything! Definitely different than Universal's concept art! Still looks cool, but I'll never go there
  21. Here's a new concept I made for a new Cornered maze layout: The blue represents the fencing, the orange represents the queue, the red represents the actual maze layout, the brown represents The Bat entrance queue, the black represents The Bat exit, and the green represents a really cool new Cornered sign over the top of the entrance to the queue. The queue/entrance area of this new maze would take up most of the EXtreme Skyflyer plot, but would allow for more space for the maze. Not exactly sure how many trees are back there and how many you would need to cut down, but I'm pretty sure you could fit it in there. Makes it scarier too because you're in the woods and lost in a maze with lots of fog. The maze would start right at the end of the Skyflyer plot, and would end right after the former Blackout haunted maze (at least I think that's what it was called). This building could be used as a shed type thing with lots of scarecrows that are "being made" and they "come alive" and get you right when you see the exit. The exit would drop you off right next to The Bat sign. In regards to Haunt additions, we did get Hooked last season, so KI isn't necessarily due for another maze. Although it isn't a maze and just a scare zone, it still counts to me as a Haunt addition. I do remember last year during Haunt the first 2-3 weeks of operations Cornered was down and not able to have guests go through the maze (I remember someone saying something about a pipe bursting). So maybe moving the Cornered maze would work better. If they did upgrade/redo Cornered, then you have something semi-new. It doesn't add a maze, but it is something new that you could advertise (although I'm not sure if they would advertise that). I've actually never been in Cornered before, (I'm not much of a scary, gory, evil stuff guy. I have been in KillMart and Hotel St. Michelle though) but I know lots of people that think Cornered is the weaker of the mazes and prefer the haunted houses more. What do you guys think of this concept? Will the Skyfyler plot be used for a new Haunt attraction, or something else entirely?
  22. I used to think that the new 2026 "family thrill attraction" would go here for sure...now not so much. Now I'm thinking that we might see it come somewhere we didn't think of
  23. Although I do agree that most guests don't pay much attention to the surroundings and just focus on where they might get wet, I think that some good theming and animatronics would enhance the ride, and maybe even add a storyline that you could learn in the currently boring queue. Maybe even add a tunnel and some characters, and the ride becomes better. Will they get more people riding it? Probably not. Will the investment be worth it? Probably not. Will they actually do this? Probably not. That's just my thoughts though
  24. Looks like we got ourselves a team!
  25. Now that I think of it, I did see the back of the Crypt building open, and there were a few people in there. I saw this from The Beast line during Passholder Preview Day. The door that was open was kind of like a garage door...not sure if you know what I'm talking about.
