Dubailand theme park coaster question?
Gordon Bombay replied to Monkey Joe's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^No, for a photo to be used for promotion, permission must be given fromt he photographer or respective owner, whether they agree to pay for it or not. Kings Island probably had the picture taken or its taken from a clip of one of their promotional videos, the video that that picture is taken from is played in The Beast que line on the 25th anniversary movie. To use the picture I'm sure some agreement was reached wiith Kings Island/Paramount parks/whover owns it. -
hahah whatever? theyre right, the train did NOT run in the opposite direction in 2000. I've worked the train and my neighbor is a former mechanic who worked on them, the trains werent going counter clockwise in 2000.

Why did you bother commenting then? NC to OH, all you need to know about planning a trip can be found right here.

^I didnt think Rocking Rollercoaster was that rough but I thought it was better since Ive been on FOF probably more than one hundred times, not joking, and dont get to ride Rocking Rollercoaster very often. However I gotta give it to FOF because of the lights and the close encounters with the supports. and how its constantly banked or inverted and I HATE Aerosmith with a burning passion.

Dubailand theme park coaster question?
Gordon Bombay replied to Monkey Joe's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^Many parks use that photo for promotion, in particuarly six flags. Its also common to see this picture in many math and science text books. -
I sure have, in fact I've sprung up my skills so much that i learned how to click and drag wmm to the recycle bin......using Pinnacle Studio Plus now. Its so nice to not have any annoying restraints when working.

SFOG - Something New In My Backyard
Gordon Bombay replied to WooferBearATL's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
They actually do have a fair amount of room to expand. It's not land locked like Carowinds is. The rough part is that the park is subject to flooding much the way that Coney Island is. I've seen it under water twice in the last three or four years. That makes things difficult so I'm not sure how much of the land is truly useable or not. Yeah I've seen a lot of those pictures of SFOG underwater, is carowinds totally landlocked? -
Take a look at whats coming this year to KI......HB is now the all new NICK UNIVERSE

^Does SFOG have a lot of space for expansion or are they kind of pressed for room? -

^Thats awesome, that looks like its going to be a great ride and in a beautiful park. I havent been to SFOG in awhile. Wooferbear, is that the highway that the coaster travels over, whats the other B&M that it seems to come close to? Is that the stand up one? One more thing, how well is SFOG maintained these days, from what I've seen on the itnernet it looks great. My dad used to work for Astroworld and one of his best friends was an manager at SFOG who we used to visit quite often. -
I believe PKI's trains are the only Paramount Park trains that arent run on diesel fuel.

Yeah, he should have. hahaha I do have that clip in my video folder sitting on my desktop.... Ronny: "HOLY CRAP! THE DCR-HC21! THATS A GOOD CAMERA! OH MY GOD! THE 8 HOUR BATTERY! WAY TO GO RINGMASTER!" Apparently thats a very popular camera these days, not only did Ringmaster also have it, but about 4-6 other people I saw there have it. When I worked for Best Buy it sold really quickly and this past weekend when I went to see The Hills Have Eyes (great horror flick btw) I noticed (dont worry theres no spoilers) that at the beginning when the gas pumper is going through the bag of valuables that the miners dropped off that a Sony DCR-HC21 is in there . I love that camera though, just wish it had an external mic attachment. Thanks to Ryan for recoomending it to me. I know zosobeast on this site also uses it.

^Thanks Ryan, I was very honored to be able to make it for you guys. This wasnt my first video, but my first video with Pinnacle. I hope you dont mind that I put it on putfile.

So about 3 weeks ago PKI and Ace held their Winter SOAR event that featured a construction tour and dinner reception prior to the tour in the international restauraunt. The event was open to the public and many members from this site, including myself, attended. For those who didnt go you missed a tour of the ocnstruction of Nick Universe, a tour of all the rides in rehab and their storage at the picnic grove and some great guest speakers at the dinner reception. PKIC was there to cover event with pictures and video. I used some footage that Dane, Ryan, and myself aqquired and made a video for PKIC from the winter SOAR event, however due to everyones computer problems it hasnt been able to get up on to PKIC yet. So I put it on putfile today for all of you to enjoy. So without further adue...I present to you: A Universe in the Making: PKICentral coverage of the winter SOAR dinner and construction tour. PKICentral......offering the best coverage of PKI on the internet....second to none!

^Im pretty sure they did, or was it removed for that giant squirt gun game? That area needs to be cleaned up, Vortex and Action Theatre look nice but even Action theatre could use a little TLC, it hasnt looked that good since James Bond was in there and when Days of Thunder was there it looked the best. With the cars and the vehicle used to film the movie on the grass throughout the que line. I think Eurobungee and that squirt gun game need to go and some new flat needs to go there with a 1950's Buck rogers space adventure type theme to compliment the Happy Days Diner.

Happy Birthday to Thunder Road!
Gordon Bombay replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Reall cool. Carowinds is a fantastic park. Thunder Road is a different experience than Racer and the park features my favorite coaster Top Gun: The Jet coaster. I also love the Stank Mikita's donuts restauraunt there, darn I wish I wouldve had my camera when I went there, I'll have to drive there this summer now. -
^Wasnt the theatre for Cinema 180, where you laid on your back, over by Coney mall in the tent that now houses laser tag?

We have darn good camcorders ringmaster!
