Kings Island vs. Paramount's Kings Island
Gordon Bombay replied to king_cobra_27's topic in KI Polls
^Amen, Amen, I say again, Amen! Very well put Legend Rider. Im glad to see not everyone lacks common sense anymore. -
^Very well said, Animal Kingdom is the perfect example of why Kings Island should not try the Wild Animal Habitat again. Why waste all that remaining space on something that isnt really suited for PKI. Like you sai dbefore RZ, Bush Gardens is the only one I could see pulling that off right, wasnt there a Busch Gardens in San Diego that is now closed and the monorail for it now sits up at PCW?

Oh I definently was, that was the first time I've ever been back on that side of the park by the town of Kings Mills and the Christmas shop and the high school etc. Ive been aroudn the park on the other side where the huge bridge is a few times before, theres lots of cool stuff around there and its very quiet and beautiful then you get past KI on tylersville rd and have to drive with all the soccer moms in their SUV's and minivans who dont take their cell phones off their ears. Everytime I drive up Tylersville through Mason, somone ALWAYS tries to merge into my lane because they dont look and notice I'm their. Why? because they have their cell phone on! Ahh, sorry for the rant.......bottom line Kings Island and the surrounding area are very beautiful and have some cool things hidden in the woods.

^hahaha best insult I ever read! Your calling me uneducated when your pulling facts about Kings Island out of the air to support your "zoo" theory. Had you read what I said, I wasnt laughing at the zoo idea, I was laugihing at the fact that he thinks the cost of picking up animal fecees is keeping the park from creating another zoo. Marlfox, since your so "smart" why havent you figured out why Kings Island isnt going to get a zoo? PKI is a theme park with amusement rides, not a zoo. If you want a zoo go to downtown Cincinnati or just keep following I-71 to Columbus. If PKI wanted to go the route of having a zoo then they would've kept the WAH, however they didnt. Its like JZarley said, from a business standpoint its not good for the park, it wouldnt prove profitable for them since they arent a non profit organization. Putting a zoo back in doesnt make any sense, probably the only people who could pull this off would be Busch Gardens if they purchased the park and thats about it. Kings Island is not a zoo, its an amusement park. Having animals there puts a lot of restrictions then on how the park can operate. You also need to take into consideration that no matter what direction you go, behind Kings Islands land is nothing but new subdivisions so the city of Mason is going to want to know how the residents feel who already complain about the park and its noise, theyre probably not going to want having wild animals just across the river no matter how irrational their thinking is. Finnaly, if you had been reading the news you would know that the Cincinnati Zoo plans to build something out there, not to rival Kings Island but to expand their message and mission, I think this is a good move for them, it wont be like a full zoo but will still be great. Kings Island is not a zoo and Kings Island is not becoming a zoo, if it wanted to stay one it probably would have. Im not trying to bash zoos or zoology, I love going down to the Cincinnati Zoo with my camera, but its not going to happen at PKI.

LINK!Went to the park wendsday to get my ID made and quite a lot of avatar pieces were in the lot then I came back today to drop off some paperwork and most of it was gone as trucks were running back and forth to the park hauling pieces and a large crane could be seen in NU. I stopped at the park and ride to get some pictures and the day was s beautiful and clear plus with lack of leaves you could see a great deal of Vortex and even The Beast lift hill! Then while I killed time before I had to drive back to Fairfiled I went exploring the town of Kings Mills. I found Kings High School and noticed that you can see a lot of Son of Beast just from their parking lot and it looked awesome. I wish I could see the worlds tallest and fastes and only looping wooden coaster in the world out my classroom windows. Then while I was at the parking lot I notice the smoke stack and tower of the cartridge company and had to go find out. Heres some pictures I took today.

Mission Impossible Stunt Spectacular
Gordon Bombay replied to Skippy's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Do you think that they are calling "Hollywood Stunt Show" so that they can change it every few years or so like with the action theatre. You said people auditioned for the parts and they had an MI storyline then maybe it will still feature the MI storyline but eventually change to stunts from another Paramount movie. This was theres greater ease when having to change the show playing in the "stunt" theatre, however I guess that all still depends on the new owner. I would love to see the Meatloaf: To Hell and Back stunt show. -
Ok, let me explain some things. I was being sarcastic and poking fun at how PKI just gives it a name and sign change but doesnt really re-theme it, just keeps its city enviroment because thats where the cartoon little bill lives. I was being sarcastic about the police car thing too, but I could see some crazy nut going off the handle about it. Deidere, Tombraiderty, just having some fun. Im actually not this much of a jacka** in real life, I just find the internet amusing, some people take it way too seriously.

Mission Impossible Stunt Spectacular

^is back lot going to be a sit down restauraunt? -
you mean what black? he is black, just like me and many other members on this site. Why not paint it black? Is that what your saying, geeeze I get sick of some of the comments left on this site. LIttle Bill lives in an Urban enviroment, taxis are in an Urban setting however I dont appreciate the fact that PKI themes the ride after a young African American child living in an Urban Enviroment but has a police car chasing him in his taxi! The trains still have the police car on the back! If thats not a stereotype, blacks getting chased by cops, then I dont know what is.

Cedar Point 2007 Big One!
Gordon Bombay replied to felix's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Wow it seems within the past 48 hours we've had about 4 immature little kids join the forums, I love this time of year, let the suspensions begin. Seriously with CP, no one knows, and if you think you know you dont because if you did then you wouldnt be talking. Its like when I wokred at KI it was a new rumor every week as to what we we're getting, the lower employess never know and the more "higher up" employess that do, arent going to tell. Dualing flyers or floorless coaster, thats just a rumor and while it may not be tottaly impossible it has no substance to it being anywhere near true at all. We'll find out what CP has when they announce it. -

Yay or Boo to Nick Universe
Gordon Bombay replied to JZBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
No matter how much people whine and complain and resist the change it wont stope them from going to the park and wont stop them from liking PKI no matter how much they want to b***h. -
Maureen said that NU is on shchedule and is set to open on April 14th with the rest of the park.

^Same here, that was before they retracked it and lowered the thrill rating from a 6 to a 4

Have you ever seen the movie? The water splash is the ending scene of the chase.

The Helix tunnels where added a year later. You can tell if you look at some older pictures from 1979. Wasnt just one helix covered and the top one uncovered? Thats what I seem to remember from the video.

^It is, and if you dont like it, its simple........then dont ride it.

Wheres your proof of that?
