I dont know if anyone else noticed but I just wanted to point out that many more pictures have been added to the gallery including some that I took on opening day. Unfortuanently, due to the low light my new telephoto lense didnt work as well as I hoped but I wanted to see what you guys thought of the really close up shots (wait till you see the ones from the tower from sunny monday afternoon). I think theyre somewhat unique and not really found on the other sites. Thanks to Ryan and PKIC staff for letting me contribute, today is my birthday (eventhough on here I said I was born in like 1902 or something) and it was a nice surprise to find thos pictures on here. Oh yeah heres the LINK! My personal favorite of the bunch! Have a great evening all, I'm so glad PKI is back open.

Donald, when was it confirmed that it was being removed? Last time I checked, its still there at PKD and no one has ever confirmed what its fate is yet.

Comments... Why do you think Paramount bought the parks? To promote PARAMOUNT........why does Disney have parks.....to promote DISNEY...hence the objective of a theme park. Hundreds of thousands of dollars to remove everything paramount? Wheres your reasoning for that......id like to see your facts for removing logos and signs to the point where it costs thousands of dollars unless your talking about leasing viacom rights. Paramount bought the park and made it worse? Spare me your nonsense, KI has been more profitable and sucessful than ever, the park chain is well respected and worth quite a lot, KI and PCW have some of the highest attendance among parks each year.

Uh, PCWi is Carowinds. In the Carolinas (both of them, actually). PCWo isn't even open yet. common abreviations on this site and other goofy fan sites usually use PCW referring to Paramounts Canada's Wonderland and PC referring to Paramounts Carowinds, come on interpreter! SHeesh!

The ride is powered the whole time I believe, hence why diskos lost their coaster status on rcdb. Avatar: not a coaster but great none the less.

Those people took that risk and were aware of it when they bought their tickets, it happens to everyone, you have a right to complain, but no right to be rude to employees. Did I say I was rude to employees, uhhhhhhhhhh NO. WAKE UP KID!!! Did I say you were rude to employees? Uhm, no, how about we read and study our grammar skills. I said guests in general have no right to be rude to employees and that you and those guests took the risk of rides being broken down upon your purchase, the rides are machines, it even says on the back of your ticket that no attraction is guaranteed.

One is still sittingn in the Action F/X que grass by the theatre left there from Fearfest, the ones at SFKK actually came from Americana.

^Yeah Top Gun needs more than just a little TLC........it needs a complete overhaul! Its a good ride but as many people pointed out the track looks rusted and dull. The trains are filthy and covered in grafitti. The soundtrack and music can barely be heard through aging and dying speakers. The aircraft themed area which once was the que you walked through is now closed off and delapidating. The supports have paint peeling off of them to show how rusted they are. Trash, debri, parts of track and cars is just laying everyone on the ground beneath the brakes. The station paintings are chipped apart and the tarp that is along the sides of the station que is missing at some parts or featuring huge holes. On the lift, the speakers are always crackling and sound terrible, chain link fence lines the bottom of the lift and right side while most other suspended coasters have nice looking glass. The line theming is missing (the Russian mig and tomcat are gone, just the support stands there) or broken. IF you look at the original concept drawings for the ride there was supposed to be a F-14 tomcat replica on top of the station and a tower to be built to make it look like an aircraft carrier. Top Gun, while a great ride, does not help the parks image at all. And my biggest pet peeve of all about the ride, is that big billboard that shows an aircraft carrier and two F-15 Eagles, planes used by the air force not the navy and cant even be used on carriers are showing with a big Gillete Mach II symbol. Does gillete even still sponsor the ride? I dont see it on the back of the trains or hear it on the announcments.

Which even plays the enchanted voyage theme while they check your setbelts

Did anyone else notice at the funtastic world of Hannah Barbera they had the fantastic voyage theme playing?

NU looks gorgeous, it has changed so much it felt like going to a new park today, they did a great job. Although HB is gone for the most part, they did a great job, the only thing I didnt like about NU is what Ryan (Boddah) pointed out to me today, that theres no really big signs or fantastic entrances welcoming you into the new area but it sure looks great! Avatar.......not just a kids ride........it can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike and was a blast. Kite Flyer.......not as fun for some of the older kids but I can see kids really liking this.....hurt my stomach though. Nice job PKI!

^Vortex actually got a completely new sign and yes it does lack the lights, Monster also got a new sign. Other things that have changed are the Dippin Dots/Lemon Chill stands are repainted (mostly) theres a new kettle popcorn stand still waiting to be occupied out side of Beast, The Beast and The Racers also have new lap restraints.

THe ride is great and I laughed so hard when ir elized those were in there as i exited. Then when walking down the exit ramp I noticed a little boy holding one close to his face and coughing and i laughed probably of rhalf an hour. Ive never had a problem with rides making me sick.
