New proposal for NY parks
Gordon Bombay replied to Buckeye-Beast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Its that womans fault for letting her son ride and not informing or looking to see what type of ride it was, its her sons fault for getting out. The stupidity of people amaze me. -

^But still up unitll alst year was stilla t a steady increase while Cedar Point over the past few years has had a steady decrease, if you read what I said I wasnt just basing it off last year and didnt we beat CP in attendance last year still?
-
THe point has also been estimated to have had attendance drops in recent years while KI has had attendance raises in the recent years. It will be interesting to see if this strategy works out for CP and keep in mind Paramount parks are being sold and want to make their bottom line look better so theyre trying to generate more money.

Paramount Parks Deal in 2nd Half of Year
Gordon Bombay replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
I cant wait to find out who it is and whats to come. -
I think FC was removed before 95, maybe 93. And the FC pad is now the home of the Eurobungee trampoline attraction. Interpreter, I was wrong, skylab did not go to kentucky kingdom, I forgot that was our old etnerprise but what I was thinking of was the zodiac....didnt that go to Kentucky kingdom?
-
I believe FC is now at Australia's wonderland and Skylab went to kentucky kingdom.

^^ Agreed!! You cannot base anything on polls. Its the $$ that counts, not the polls. And where does money come into deciding how popular a ride is over another at KI with the public?
-
PKI Vortex has a good point, lines cant always mean popularity especially when the capacity is strikingly different. But, in the various polls I've held, and not just on the internet, I've found that people generally prefer FOF over Vortex, FOF is neck and neck with 2 other coasters for number 1 right now but the polls still have awhile to go so I wont say more. I dont think people would have prefered FOF over Vortex before 2001 though.
-
^If you judge popularity by the average size of the line then Flight of Fear takes the cake and eats it all, but if somehow one of you guys held an opinion poll and found Vortex to be more popular than I guess your right but I dont think either of you have. I will tell you this, Flight of Fear did beat Vortex in the upcoming video and thats from 4 internet polls, questionares, and actual interviews with park guests.

^Saying they are censored smiley face stupid for doing so is a pretty ignorant statement adn as usual people on here are jumping to conclusions. You people keep forgetting that you dont know what is going on what is going to happen to PKD's fof nor PKI's. The truth is PKI's fof is still sitting there and operating this year so lets enjoy it. Secondly, if they do remove PKD's or plan relocate PKI or PKD's fof coaster, you dont know thier reasons for doing so, so before we all try to go and lynch paramount park executives, lets wait and see what the truth is and whats going to happen.

I had some when I was back by Kings High School doing some photographic work and had some cool pictures of cranes and people all over the track but they were too out of focus and nasty looking. Ill try to get some soon.

Whats about with the recent influx of idiots to the site? Theres no need for a comment like that when its not even relavant or funny. I mean come on cincyboy havent you ever heard porn music, its definently a different genre! (Im just kidding with you by the way) Nice job FOF96, you did a fantastic job with a program that puts so many limits on every action you try to do. You really showed talent by making a great movie with a limited program. The editing and synching was well done and while the image quality isnt the best.......well it has to be comrpessed because it needs to be easily accesible for hosting and viewing purposes. Good job man!

Latest Gallery Editions
Gordon Bombay replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Not really, but its fun to photograph with that much zoom, on the clearer days you can see peoples faces perfectly as they scream. I have one great shot right after you hear the click for the drop of these peoples face that is just hillarious, however like I said that computer is being reformatted and I dont know if those pictures got saved -
I dont know if anyone else noticed but I just wanted to point out that many more pictures have been added to the gallery including some that I took on opening day. Unfortuanently, due to the low light my new telephoto lense didnt work as well as I hoped but I wanted to see what you guys thought of the really close up shots (wait till you see the ones from the tower from sunny monday afternoon). I think theyre somewhat unique and not really found on the other sites. Thanks to Ryan and PKIC staff for letting me contribute, today is my birthday (eventhough on here I said I was born in like 1902 or something) and it was a nice surprise to find thos pictures on here. Oh yeah heres the LINK! My personal favorite of the bunch! Have a great evening all, I'm so glad PKI is back open.

Donald, when was it confirmed that it was being removed? Last time I checked, its still there at PKD and no one has ever confirmed what its fate is yet.
