Wasnt there another death on Mission Space around this time last year? I bet this one was due to a medical condition again, it is an intense ride, and I cant stress enough to park guests how important it is to read the warnings before riding, but we'll wait and see the official outcocme of what happened.

Favorite Coaster at PKI
Gordon Bombay replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
^SOB is a beautiful coaster and i used to be able to enjoy it however the last few times ive ridden it it just has been awful. I get so sick of how terribly rough it is, no matter where ive sat, on wheels, off wheels, front, back, middle, never works, always leaves me feeling like ill never have children again. Hope KI fixes it. -
Favorite Coaster at PKI

My favorite coaster at PKI is definently The Beast however FOF and IJ are close seconds fof because its just an amazing ride now that it doesnt have headrests and Italian Job is good for what it is...everyone says it sucks but its a fun ride and the theming is good. It has tractor trailers, water effects that do get you wet, not too wet. But yeah some theming is meesed up, lets just hope it has a better year this year. -
Ill be up there with my cameras and new lenses working on a new video and filming for "The less then perfect day" and "The Show! with Jon Bays"

I know this topic has been done before but this is serving another purpose than jsut internet banter. Im working on possibly doing a new video for PKIC and I want to find out what people's favorite coasters are at PKI and see the results as they might play a part in the film. Id also like to know what makes you like them as far as memories/special moments and what you liked about past rollercoasters and if you can point us in the direction of any historical video or pictorical footage of ANY of the coasters we greatly appreciate it. So here we go....whats your favorite coaster of the current PKI coaster lineup? Adventure Express Face Off Fairly Odd Coaster The Italian Job Stunt Track Little Bill's Giggle Coaster Rugrat's Runaway Reptar Son of Beast The Beast The Racers: Forwards or Backwards Top Gun The Vortex Have young ones that enjoy the smaller coaster? Well this production isnt all about thrill seekers.....everyones opinion matters so if your little ones have a favorite coaster feel free to tell us in a post and Ill make sure it gets counted!

^I agree with the interpreter.........Busch parks.........amazing

Do any of the six flags parks ahve a system like this?
-
^hmm why did they discontinue it? Is that the same one disney uses?
-
^and underground! I wanted so bad to take a tour of the park's underground facilities. Disney is so good at taking ideas that seem so out of place and making them realities most of the time economically effective.

I liked how PKI kind of started to do this with their new rides like iwth IJ and having the speed pass available every operating day.....that ride seemed to have the most effective system and you knew pki was slowly going to transition into this type of speed system when they renovated PT into SDATHC since they built the line and when they reprofiled The Beast que lines a few years back. Lets jsut hoep whoever runs the park next manages this system effectively, isnt avatar suppsoed to get one of these speed lines?
-
^RZ is right, at some rides its easier to monitor than others but altogether its a hard system for the employees to monitor and enforce. I remember times last year when we had to have guest relations employees sent to The Beast line to give us a hand because we were worried we oculdnt enforce it well enough. Just another example of how Disney does things right, for example on space mountain in florida.........two que lines, one for speed lane one for regular....they are far apart so no one can hop over and if they try they fall pretty hard. KI needs a better system. Any word yet on if this one was going to return?

^I agree with you Jasper, they shouldve have started an electronic speed pass system with the installation of TRTR where those useless lockers are now. However, PKI does somewhat have a system like this on gold pass weekends or whatever. This system however is ran manually by employees and extremely flawed and thats not jsut on the parks fault but on the gold passholders who fail to read instructions. To use this system, which only operates on certain days, you must show your gold pass at the eifel tower info booth and receive your speed tickets however, most people are too alzy to read and jsut ocme to the ride flashing their gold passes expecting to be let in......this creates uncecesary stress and tension and problems. PKI needs a system as efective and reliable as Disneys. I went to all 5 Disney parks for a week last summer and never once was their system flawed nor did we notice anyone with problems. Kings Island needs a speed pass system........but they need to be able to do it right. Hopefully the new owners will see the value in this.

Yes lets hope the weather next friday is better than it was yesterday. I got hail, saw funnel clouds, sirens went off, then I saw a double rainbow. Check out www.klockster.com to see some AWESOME shots that he got off the funnel clouds.

Who thinks PKIC should start banning people who dont even consider spelling or grammar when theres a spell check right there?

So does Toro now have the record instead of Voyage for steepest first drop?

Gordon Bombay replied to CoasterXtreme's topic in Kings Island
^Flight of Fear is not themed to anything Paramount or CBS, once that was ture how it is not. Kings Island is an amusent park with some themed rides thats crrent goal under the paramount regime plans to keep installing most new rides to carry a paramount theme, in the past they have NOT always added a ride themed to a paramoutn entity. Your both right and wrong in calling it an amusent or theme park, its not completely either or, but you know what the best part is.......no one cares........its still an amusent park at heart consisting of rollercoasters and fun no one is losing sleep over whether its an official "THEME" or "AMUSEMENT" park, that is unless your a martial arts guy. -
Oh I doubt ill be riding anything with you anytime soon.

^Kong Fu Guy, your caps lock button is on, and no Kings Island is an amusement park with a handfull of themed rides. It is a themed amusent park and that title is up to debate as to what the future owners decide to do wtih the park. Kings Island under paramounts ownership has put in non-themed rides..........the biggest example........Delerium.
