^Which Arrow suspended dissapeared recently? I guess AW's counts since they may be closed permanently (not if CF is doing what ive been hearing rumors of) and the one Arrow suspened in England called The Vampire was retrofitted with vekome invert seats.

Kanonen Liseberg

Looks way too short, and inversions do not make for a family coaster. -
^Yeah, I love our Top Gun I just wish it looked like it did when it opened with the fake missles and the smoke and the nice looking red track. What happened to its hollywood makeover this year PKI?

I posted that ^ and realized that Im stupid and know the answer.... I forgot PKI already had plans with Arrow to build a suspened coaster called Thunder Run then Paramount bought the park and re-themed it to Top Gun. Brain fart. *slaps head* Edit... and I just remembered that PGA did not get the first invert, because the first B&M batman invert was built in 92. geeze whats wrong with me.

While I love Top Gun and think it needs to be saved and upkept and themed well, I wonder why Paramount Parks decided to give us the Arrow suspened coaster in 1993 that we've grown to love. While our Top Gun is one of my favorite coasters, my ultimate favorite is Top Gun:The Jet Coaster at Paramounts Carowinds, an inverted B&M coaster featuring zero g-rolls and an underground tunnel. While the Arrow suspened coaster is more like actually sitting in a plane and flying, it doesnt do any inversions and is nto as thrilling as a Beemer, I always wondered why PKI never gave us a B&M instead of an Arrow, I figured it was because B&M hadnt started making inverts yet. So today I did a little research, I wanted to find out when the first B&M invert was built. I found out it was in 93 and figured the reason Paramount parks didnt give us a B&M invert was because it had been built at some other park and it was only B&M's first coaster like this, untill I found out that the first B&M inverted coaster was the Top Gun out at Paramount's Great America. So my question to you guys is, does anyone know why in 1993 did we get an Arrow suspened coaster and they got a B&M invert? I love our Top Gun, but give me a Beemer any day.

Good point Hank, the Italian Job may be considered short, but although its short it constantly has something going on, theres never a dull moment and everytime you ride you notice something new and it gives the illusion that the cars are moving very fast. Its a good ride, Id much rather have the IJ coaster than the antique cars.

No offense, but a lot of the things you just said were rumor and very far from the truth as to why certain things arent working.

Mom&Dad,the kids bring in more money for the park while thrillseekers like yourself dont really bring much to the park families buy things which means more money for the park. strata coaster aint gonna happen pal! Other than that....I dunno how they would pull off a Action F/X movie I always wondered when PKI gets the addams(if they ever do) if they would add some of the Phantom Theater Characters into the new addams darkride/coaster that would be ''an inside joke or( PKI fanboys & girls eyecandy) Well said, the target is families now. Why? Families are where the money is at, not the thrill seekers. Besides, the Addams Family coaster was designed to be a family coaster and a strata coaster is NOT a family coaster. Plus it has not yet been confirmed whether the rights to an Addams amusement ride have been confirmed. Does anyone have an article on it saying they were confirmed? Just cause its in a concept doesnt mean they were confirmed. Addams would be a cool theme, lets hope it happens.

I think hes referring to how they show a picture of the brand new Top Gun with the nice red track and it looks beautiful when our Top Gun definently needs some TLC.

Yeah, he and my sister came to visit me while I was working then then I saw the Admiral and the Admiral family frolicking through HB as I went on break.
-
Is Baby Chef now Toddler Chef? While I was working today I saw Admiral Ackbar, Mrs. Admiral, and baby admiral frolicking about and my sister, LesbiasaurusREX, stopped by.
-
Yeah, pretty much everyone, its been like that since the beginning of the season.

What should PKI do with the obsolete HB rides?
Gordon Bombay replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
THats a good question, they could wither re-theme it or just buy a new one, honestly the HB carousel looks like crap..........when you look at it from the outside it looks nice but once your underneath it and you seee the dirty tarp and crap everywhere.....just one of the many minor things KI could do to make a better impression. TOPGUN 1993, do u know that its HIGHWAY to the danger zone? -
As far as I know SFAW has the only sky swatter and there havent been plans to install any in another park for a long time, would love to see one though.

PP Are a Family Park System
Gordon Bombay replied to Thrillsareparamount's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just cause were a "family" park doesnt mean we cant have good thrilling rides. Its a family park meaning theres something for everyone.........even thrills. Youll see, PKI will get better with time. However this topic has been beaten to a pulp but I see you were too lazy to look at the millions of other topics on the family debate so now youve accomplished nothing. -

Theyll probably be put up for sale and either bought by a local park like coney or lesourdsville (plans for 06 are pending) or a carnival. -
Spongebob Squarepants & Other Nick themed rides!
Gordon Bombay replied to RevengeofTheSmurfs's topic in Rumors
Correct me if Im wrong, the Angry Beavers havent been seen in NC since the stage was removed and that show doesnt even have new episodes anymore does it? I love that show......Dag and Norbert. Great show however, I dont wanna see WWC get themed to anything. -
Both Friday and Saturday's Fear Fest's will feature long lines. My advice, unless your going saturday and can ride rides earlier in the day, then get all the haunted attractions in first. Hope you guys have a blast.

^No, that was removed in 2001 for Reptar and Thornberries. The Double Dare thing was like a game next to the slime maze, I only remember seeing it when I was about 8.
