  1. Give them defleated basketballs and outside the main gate have an air machine with a needle attachment that conly costs a nickle to use. Just another way to make a little money.
  2. Thank goodness this buidling has finally been removed. This may be the start of improvements to Coney Mall. Hopefully next seasson there is a new flat on this site and maybe the former Flight Commander site can get some attention and the Euro Bungee removed. I know there are still some Geauga Lake flats that could be moved in and also of CGA is sold anytime soon there would be some flats available. I believe Starfish, Chance Wipeout, Time Warp, Chance Double Inverter, Thriller Bees, Huss Bee Bee and a few others that have not been relocated yet, but are in storage.
  3. Some of the best days I have had at parks haven been days with a light or steady rain. Ride opperation depends on more than just rain, wind, lightning, threat of sever weather and more.
  4. Looks like it is a possibility those light poles could get banners, but there will have to be some kind of extension on the poles for the banners to work. If the poles are going to have banners it looks like one on each side. They also look like those could be part of the design as well. Should be interesting, but would look great with banners flying.
  5. Looks like the tubes are the only section that got the fresh orange paint. Nice way to freshen up the ride.
  6. Notice the building in the background near Beast Canyon with the Red Roof. I would say it is part of the new entrance.
  7. Hey wait I thought I was the only one that could make gravy buffet refrences , now where is my fanny pack?
  8. No longer known as Hard Rock Park, park to loose name of park and some key rides. Hearld Online I honestly think this is for the best, Hard Rock is not a brand that will draw huge crowds from the MB demographic. I wonder if Led Zeppelin becomes dergible the ride, Hindenburg, maybe the Lakehurst escape. That way the onboard audio system could still be used and going down the first drop you could have "Ohh the Humanity!" Screaming in your ears.
  9. Ah yes the famous Moonlite. My company is headquarterd out of Owensboro, so I have been to the Moonlight a few times. Yet still have not found the BBQ any better than http://www.oldcanalsmokehouse.com/index.htm in my home town. Actually when the higher ups from Owensboro come here they request it because they find it far superior as well. Ok I will say that is BBQ this side of the Mississippi, because its hard to disagree with Kansas City.
  10. Nice PTR, but I must ask while at Dollywood did you not ride Mountain SlideWinder or was it not open? Love that ride.
  11. Agreed wouldn't use a PVC Liner if there wasnt going to be running water.
  12. I would imagine that Copper Sulfate has been added to the water to control algae, thats why there is a blue color. As for the stream in the background, I have not heard anyone that wasn't convinced it would be flowing with water. Im just waiting for them to turn it on.
  13. ^ Thanks, barely missed the angle of ascent on the lift hill. I would agree about a foot or so away.
  14. Yeah looking back at some pictures, I would agree my initial estimate was a little generous. I would say the wall is between 2 to 2.5 feet and the fence probably hoovers around 2.5 to 3ft tall. The wire fence around the pond is more like 4-5 feet tall. My estimating is off today, sinus infection and no protractor to use.
  15. The fence is just another deterent to keep wandering park guests off the track. Hopefully if someone does wander out that way, the multiple fences give the ride opps enough time to notice a park guest and to shut the ride down. Well, at such a tiny height, that fence isn't deterring anyone! Funny, but I would imagine the fence is somewhere between 4-5 foot tall. Try climbing that in submerged water, very dificult.
  16. Whose Debee, and what are they doing in the splash down pond?
  17. The fence is just another deterent to keep wandering park guests off the track. Hopefully if someone does wander out that way, the multiple fences give the ride opps enough time to notice a park guest and to shut the ride down.
  18. 2 great promotions for the family. I wonder what character will be at the breakfast?
  19. Funny what happesn when "thoosies" over take a mainly Disney fan site.
  20. ^ Yes and the lovely dead fish smell that would create. Anyone want some Larosas?
  21. Sadly, if a moron wants to get on the track there is no number of fences that will stop said moron. Also I would not count on any fish in the splashdown, seeing as that would cause the splash water to become dirty more quickly. More than likely the water will be chemically treated as well, like on most water rides. Seeing as to eliminate any water borne parasites and other lovely things. Could you imagine live fish swiming around in the WWC or that darn ride with the Elephant's water ways?
  22. From when I rode Carolina Cobra during its past life as Head Spin and Mind Eraser it only had the standard Vekoma OTSR's and lent itself like most boomers to great head banging. Glad to hear the new restrainst are better, but I dont think a standard OTSR would work well on Firehawk, how would these new OTSR's work? Could they even be feasible for a ride like Firehawk? I personally think the "vest" is a great style for Firehawk and makes the ride very comfortable.
