  1. I say we start a KIC fund to buy the park when it goes bankrupt again. Just doesn't look good and the admission price is insanely high for what is inside the park. Freestyle Music Park, Cedar Fair could do better than that...
  2. Besides the awful name and somewhat cheesy logo I am more displeased to see the admission cost. $39.95 for Adults and $29.95 for children. Seriously for a park that strugled with few rides to begin with how can you expect to charge that high of prices for that place. I wish them good luck, but I have little faith right now.
  3. Maybe its the 10,210,600 shares that Cascade Investment own and Mr. Gates still has hope.
  4. Personaly for the park and CF I hope this seasson is filled with many sunny days across the chain.
  5. Is this why I must wait a few minutes after sending a PM to send another PM?
  6. Good point, which is one reasson I think those 2 parks have always been a different experience from other Six parks.
  7. You could be right about that, but then again I could also see Six continuing to opperate but only with a few parks, SFOT, SFGAd, SFMM, and SFOG. Only time will tell what truely happens.
  8. In this market I doubt a sale is possible. Bankruptcy and restructuring is more likely. Just my humble opinion.
  9. While I agree with the earlier advice about hitting Volcano first, make sure you also ride Grizzly. I find that coaster to be the hidden gem of KD. Enjoy.
  10. Stars, chilli, and rollercoasters all in one topic. Where else.
  11. Gold Star is a brand name, but a gold star is something awarded generally to elementary students for doing good or other positive reinforcement.
  12. ^ Where is my gold star? Exo or not, I doubt we see any of those for awhile. Unless we see the fish hook that was rumored for the Stratasphere in Vegas.
  13. Clarification. Giga is an Intamin coined name, but generally refers to coaster over the 300ft but under the 400ft barrier. Hyper is a term that was coined by Arrow, but is something like Kleenex when referfing to facial tissues or Bandaid. Basically any coaster over 200ft and under 300ft. The B&M version is actually referred to as a Mega coaster, which is what Diamondback is.
  14. Great Trip Report thanks for sharing. Enjoy the trip Avatar, you will enjoy it.
  15. Just going back through the pictures and images of Diamondback and the fencing around the ride site looks great. Really fits the ride and feel of Rivertown. I wonder if it will be left natural or stained to match the station. Then again I wouldn't expect anything less from Ashlee Fence.
  16. Sounds like a great way to dress up an area that will be lined with construction walls and fences this summer.
  17. Dont hold your breath because HRP errrr whatever its new name will be is not off to a good start under the new ownership. Like you said Terpy the inconsistency is amazing. I really wonder about their overall plans for the park now.
  18. All honesty, I like the looks of the sign, but I am more interested in The Beast sign.
  19. Ahhh yes good ole Minimum Force. Dont get me wrong I love the ride, but it is more about height and speed and less about latteral and negative g's. Ride the majority of B&M hypers or even a Gio Hyper like Titan and you will see the true beauty of negative and especially latteral g's. Diamondback from the stats that have been posted has more negative g's than Voyage, also with the transitions in and out of elements Diamondback should produce more intense lateral g's than MF. Honestly the comparision is Apples to Oranges between the two.
  20. And the saga continues.... I had high hopes this park would get turned around, now Im not sure.
  21. My goal is to ride Powder Keg this summer, haven't had a chance since the retrofit in 2005. Looking forward to it.
