KICentral Discount for the Train Tour this Saturday!
Haven't decided if I'm going to come or not. I'd love to, but I have to work until 1am tonight, so I don't think I'll be able to get up that early tomorrow.

FUN TO REFINANCE; SELL NOTES
So, Attendance, up seven percent Out of park spending, up three percent Per Caps, down three percent When are they going to learn their in park pricing is hurting them? Once Kinzel is gone, or someone teaches him that hoarding nickels isn't a good thing...

SFGAm: Two Assault Porky Pig, Thrown Out
And now they get to have fun telling potential future employers exactly why they were fired from their previous job... I hope these two idiots are happy with themselves.

Park General Manager & Others
Don is the only "executive" person I'd recognize, but I do see him out in the park quite often. I've also noticed quite a few "shirt and tie" folks walking around sweeping this season. While I don't know the reason for this (it could just be that that particular department is short on help this season), it's always good to see management folks out and about - it shows that they really do care about the guest experience.

Kings Island: A Perspective from Southeast TN
It also depends on where you eat within the park. Some food stands are a much better deal than others. In the case of hot dogs, the best place to get them is Snake Pit, where you can get a jumbo (half-pound) hot dog for $4.25. A "regular" hot dog will run you $6 at Planet Snoopy Grill.

How Busy Was It This Past Saturday (July 10)?
Saturday was the last day of Spirit Song, so that's why it was so crowded.

Delirium
According to Mondial's website, that ride is actually called the Jet Force. Their Revolution ride is similar to the Huss Giant Frisbee.

Kings Island Power Outage 7-4-2010
I'm really wondering why KI was still letting people into the park if so much was shut down. Did they at least tell guests what was going on before taking their money? I don't understand why the park didn't give refunds or discount coupons. It would have cost them a lot of money, but it would have kept their customers happy and possibly could have earned them a lot more money in the future, especially since it might help them recover some of the money they lost from food/souvenir sales that day.

Coney Island- Dreaming of Flats?
Kinda like the Monster at KI. Not just a push button operation unless it has changed since the early 80's. That's exactly what I was thinking. Monster is still operated with levers, and it seems fairly complicated.

Low Holiday weekend attendance
Actually, many businesses are counting Monday as a holiday due to the 4th being on Sunday this year.

Guests Say The Darnest Things
The tower is blue? I always thought it was an aqua/green color...

Most Beautiful Ride
I would choose The Zephyr. I love the fancy decorations and all the neat painted scenes on it:

Fountains Gone Next Year?
The bowl has been full of water for several weeks now. Apparently whoever has the power to fix that problem either doesn't know that it exists, or has forgotten that it's there. Sadly, if we tried to bring it to the park's attention, it would likely disappear entirely, especially since some guests are physically unable to operate it.

opening links
Supposedly there's a setting in the admin center somewhere to force external links to open in a new window, but I don't know much about IPB so I'm not sure exactly where it is. I'll spare the technical reasons as to why it no longer works since many here wouldn't understand

Delirium
As there are quite a few park employees who post regularly on these forums, I wouldn't be surprised if someone here does know, but unless the park chooses to release that information, we likely won't find out the exact reason.

Coasting for Kids is coming to Kings Island July 29th
I'll definitely have to consider this. Sounds like a lot of fun

Shoot The Rapids, Now Open (June 26)
Here's the link to the status update for those not on Facebook since it defaults to a different tab for guests... http://www.facebook.com/#/story.php?id=10625691462&story_fbid=132354520120068

Fountains Gone Next Year?
Sorry if I confused anyone. The drinking fountain appears to be getting ignored. The past two times I'be been to the park, the drain has been clogged, so the bowl has been full of water. As I said, it's kinda back in a corner, so you likely wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it.

Weirdest Thing You Have Ever Seen At Kings Island?
In terms of disgusting, the weirdest thing I saw was a large woman wearing tight cotton shorts with "bootylicious" plastered across the backside, complete with a fake lip print in the middle of it. My sister and I couldn't believe anyone would be that disgusting - it's bad enough that large women feel the need to wear skin-tight clothing, but "bootylicious"? How crude can you get?

Beast Challenge
I'd much rather see them replace the CEO with someone who doesn't hoard nickels and think his son is the best candidate to run one of the company's parks...

Behometh vs Diamondback
It has its advantages. This past Saturday, about an hour after the park opened, the line was 45 minutes, yet the SRL was near the top of the stairs. I went through the SRL twice and got two rides in less than 20 minutes.

Fantastic Coney Island
One interesting thing to note about that picture of The Monster... It lacks the "latch pin" which is now in place (not my photo): According to http://capital2.capital.edu/admin-staff/dalthoff/adventures/tr2006/uspki02.html the latch pin was added for the 2006 season (though I seem to remember it being there long before then).

Beast Challenge
Possibly, but if that were the case, why would these be permanently mounted instead of the Windmaster style portable signs?

Ride Warrior?
I have heard of El Toro and Colossus. Didn't know they were Intamins though.
