I also miss the music because it gave each area its own atmosphere. You got elegant movie music on I-Street, classic country in Rivertown, kiddie music in HB/Nick... Now you've got a completely random variety of music playing in the main park, and classic rock in Boomerang Bay (though I never paid much attention to the music in BB prior to this year). I realize that CF doesn't like themes in their amusement parks (except for kiddie areas apparently), but they should at least do their best to go along with pre-existing themeing in each section of the park.

Kids under 3 are free at KI, so you wouldn't need a ticket for him. You will still need a ticket for yourself though.

This morning they were standing at the entrance to Gold Pass Parking (rather than at the stand about halfway into it) and strictly enforcing the rules. For whatever reason, they had cones set up to direct traffic a different way than usual, and I saw no less than two cars turning around after talking to the attendant because they didn't have a gold pass and couldn't read the signs...

I'm also a big fan of Snowy River Rampage. I also like Syndey Sidewinder and Tasmanian Typhoon, but am not a big fan of the body slides. The wave pool is fun, but not as good as others I've been in (the one at The Beach and the one at Kentucky Kingdom).

Funny moments from The Beast on Monday... The Beast crew acquired a fake rooster somewhere, perched it on the side of the drive box, and named it Bethany. According to Caitlyn, one of the ride ops: Bethany will bite you The Beast doesn't eat Bethany because he's friends with "her" Other funny moments from Caitlyn: The Beast went to OSU and has a law degree After getting a less than enthusiastic response to "how was your ride?": "What do you think this is? Vortex?"

Great video. I love all the different angles and the catchy background music

When Scooby Doo is walking around the park, he has a blue collar, but when he's part of Endless Summer on Ice, he has a red collar.

In addition to things people have already mentioned (people hanging all over each other, basketballs, clothing, etc.): Being told by a merchandise manager not to "jump over the fence" after I climbed over the chain to avoid DB's gift shop (during ERT of all times) The removal of the in-car audio systems and the splashdown from BLSC Vortex only running two trains with a 30+ minute wait The M&M's machine giving me $3 in quarters for a $5 bill instead of dollar coins (though I'm wondering if this is done to encourage guests to visit the arcade)

For me it would be a tie between FoF and WWC. FoF - I love the cheesy movie and the UFO (although the movie was better with the dim lighting and the point where they turned off all the lights). WWC - I love how this ride is way back in the woods and that you have such a long hike to get to it.

Although I'm not really a fan of SOB anymore (it was one of my favorites with the old cars and the loop), I don't want to see it gone and I don't think it will be removed within the next 5 years. KI is still quite proud of that ride, despite its problems. I doubt they'd remove it unless there were a really good reason (maintenance costs, etc.)

The price of the model on the CoasterDynamix website is $199.95...

I noticed that too. Now if they'd only replace the non-slip surface at Sydney Sidewinder with the blue stuff as well...

The Beach is a bit too far away to be seen from the Eiffel Tower - it's nestled back in the woods on the other side of I-71. However, it is definitely worth visiting. They have something for everyone, and a much better atmosphere than Boomerang Bay (real sand, more trees and a lot less concrete).

While listening to the radio the other day (don't remember which station), the lady on the air said that her kids had some coasters in mind that they wanted to ride this summer, then proceeded with "Jee-auga Lake, here we come!". Apparently she didn't realize that Geauga Lake doesn't have roller coasters anymore, or that she completely mis-pronounced the name. On top of that, it's not even close to Cincy (for those unfamiliar with the park, it's right outside of Cleveland).

The left-hand door for the banquet facility (near the restrooms right before the turnstiles as you enter the park) says "For more information", but does not include anything else telling guests where they can get more info. At the end of the night, if the lights are left on in the restaurant area up there (which they often are), at the far left-hand side you can see what appears to be a place for photos to be taken (a weird pattern on the wall and some of those big umbrella light thingies commonly seen in photography studios).

According to this, it was originally called Kings Mills Log Flume

That reminds me of something else I noticed this Sunday. Someone drew a funny face on top of the air conditioner for the computer shed at Vortex. This face can be seen if you look at the air conditioner from the top of the stairs.

The bumper cars don't seem to close during storms either. When I was there on Sunday, Dodgems stayed open during heavy rain with some lightning and thunder, even though most other rides in the park were shut down.

A few things I noticed this weekend: On Vortex, there is a small pedal on the back of each car (unload side) that allows the ride op to unlock all the restraints in that car. I'm assuming there's a similar feature on Adventure Express since there's a hole on the right side at the rear of each car and both rides were made by Arrow. The statues on the final hill on Adventure Express still need some work... The first one on the right side as you're going up the hill was squeaking, and the right arm of the second one on that side didn't work. It is impossible to unbuckle the shoulder harnesses on Firehawk when the train is in the reclining position (discovered this yesterday when we returned to the station) The International Street funnel cake stand is the place to go if you want food loaded with calories - they offer fried Oreos (Oreos dipped in funnel cake batter, fried and topped with powdered sugar) and The Beast funnel cake (funnel cake topped with strawberries, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and powdered sugar). The fried Oreos are incredibly tasty The graffiti I saw at Flight of Fear several weeks ago has since been cleaned up

Up to 38 now after adding 3 more yesterday. Hoping to hit 50 by the end of the month.
-
I got 5 rides in yesterday, including one in the front row (got sent there as a single rider with a group of 3 people who requested that row).
-
A ride op at Viking Fury yesterday called it "the best boat at Kings Island".

That was actually me who caught that hat... That's the only time I've ever seen something fall/fly off a ride, though I did lose a hat on Delirium once (I don't know why I even wore it on the ride), and the first time I rode TR:TR I could hear change falling out of peoples' pockets when the ride went upside down.
