New for 2014 at Holiday World...
YoungStud replied to McSalsa's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
A large water park and some rides. I am saying that excluding diesel tech (who is on here so he likes coasters) the general public won't want to blow a tank of gas coming and going to Santa Clause if they live close to KK. -
^ If it was made by Intamin it would still be the world's #1!

http://rcdb.com/10237.htm Less than 3000' of track and ten inversions. Very cool! To bad its their standard 10 inversion coaster. they have 2-3 going up in the next couple years.

Pilgrim's plunge is the only reason I would make my first trip back since 06. -

Golden tickets are a joke. -
just because paramount based their offices in charlotte did not make carowinds the flag ship park. So if Cedar Fair based their offices at California's great America(or whatever its called now) that would make it the flag ship park?

Bout the only thing that is similar is the boats. Don't pilgrim's plunge boats work better? -
The Stengel Dive at 0:29 is sick! Due to the airtime I almost got ejected out from my desk.

From KK's website: We will continue to add new attractions each season. In 2015, we will unveil a complete makeover of our suspended looping coaster, T2, and we are well on our way to converting the two intertwined wooden coasters formerly known as Twisted Twins into a much superior ride, which will debut in 2016 Will twisted twins be getting the RMC treatment?

Mr. hart will just have to run one train on thunder run to keep up with Holiday World. I think he can pull that off. Holiday world is over an hour away from KK, their water park is pretty good after their most recent expansion in the chang area. I am sure parents won't want to be in the car 2 and a half hours to drive to holiday world over KK. -

This will get me to go back for the first time since 06. At least this ride has a excuse to be one train operation.- 125 replies

I will gladly wear this: Calvin doing his thing to the b&m logo.
-
I would do it if someone wants to sponsor me.

^ Crypt The only new ride I am eagerly anticipating is the drop ride at great adventure. Thanks for the advice BTW

So you have to be an expert to think the track is purple? Tbe general public will say its red.
-
Under 200' and 70 mph. Yeah it is on the small side.
-
It looks red to me in person.

I did not think pizza was german food either.
-
I would rather have money spent on rides than trying to compete against BGW in theming.

One manufacturer that I cannot believe is still around is premier. They had all kinds of issues with headbanging, severe downtime with the mr. freezes. Batman & Robin the Chiller never worked properly, got the zero g's taken out and eventually got torn down. Premier rides may be more complex than say b&m but are now sticking to smaller scale coasters. Their innovativeness does not even compare to Intamins. If intamin stuck to the run of the mill coasters for reliability then I would not travel thousands of miles to ride any coaster.
