  1. I think we still would have gotten a hyper since we didn't have one and everyone else did. A batman clone, zac spin, and a rmc woodie for next season. Goliath at sfog looks huge in person how it dwarfs the other rides and goes out of the park. But in reality its under 200' and not very long.
  2. Six flags gold pass is cheaper than platinum. They give you the same thing.
  3. No, ki would be a flagship park with great adventure and magic mountain.
  4. If six flags would have bought Kings Island we would have at least 4 new coasters by now.
  5. Kd has a better coaster 1-2 punch than ki will have next season. All they need to do is improve the atmosphere whole ki needs to work on the coaster line up.
  6. Flight deck along with invertiblow are the two most intense rides in the park.
  7. B&m coasters are made for capacity especially the hypers. You just have a clambshell restraint to give a quick check, no seatbelt, and you dknt have to bend over as low like on other coasters. Other parks has a 60second clock in the station. Ours would have to be 180 seconds. It would take no time for two people to run down one side checking 16 restraints each, but they have 6-8 crew members checking restraints.
  8. They get a 2-5 minute breather due to one train operation.
  9. Who would you see them using if they were to add a giga. D H Morgan defunct, B&M supposedly only built Leviathan as "favor" and then there is Intamin. I would personally be somewhat disappointed if they didn't use Intamin although with Steel Dragon and Leviathan I'm going off video and pics alone. But do you think another manufacturer would jump into the gigas? I think they could talk B&M into a Giga. KI has repeatedly stated they want reliable rides, hence they will most likely not be using Intamin as their first choice. The great pumpkin coaster is reliable, and is just as thrilling as b&m's.
  10. I didn't have to look for it, it was linked in a recent thread.
  11. It gave the train momentum to get around the corner for the drop. Youngstud, likes to give answers.
  12. I don't think it lower prices but it is pure revenue.
  13. See my diamondstack trip report. The Fast Lane que was down the steps and up the other steps. Plus the trains were stacking each time.
  14. What's the use of a dark ride if the effects will quit working and not be fixed?
  15. Morgan used two chains for steel dragon. someone ask b&m why leviathan's lift is not steep.
  16. I do better taking route 4 out of columbus.
  17. You know how heavy a chain is for a giga coaster? If b&m had leviathan the same angle of I305 with the stress from the train it would snap fast.
  18. More moving parts means more problems could arrise. You cannot have a chain lift on a lift hill as steep as i305 and mf. Intamin does not have many rides down as a whole but if a ride goes down everyone knows about it cause it is world renowned. Also we still don't know what caused or what the problem was. It could have been preventive maintenance was missed.
  19. If kd released their attendance numbers it woild be safe to bet that their attendence spiked with i305. It has already probably paid for itself.
  20. Stuff happens. Intamin got it taken care of in record time. We dont know what happened. There could have been a power surge, lightning, or maintenance issue. If the world was perfect a racecar would never blow an engine.
