Maybe statistics like Height, Length, various hill sizes, angle of first drop, the train design with the snake head, and renderings of the official layout, oh yeah and the name. Prior to this we had only bits and pieces to go off of and a 2 day rendering that showed a length of 4200' feet. So I would say we got a lot of great information today that until recently we had only speculated on. darn there I go again taking the bait. I think that I'm just being a realist. I agree with you. You don't see much positive news these days. Woofer, maybe the news should cover the EMT's and Paramedics and such. Unfortunately, the only way they'll get coverage is if someone dies. And then there is the potential that they are disiplined or fired for the errors.

Actually, Busch lead the pack this time around. All the Florida parks just raised ticket prices less than 2 weeks ago. SeaWorld went to $69.95, Aquatica went to $41.95 I believe and I know Busch Gardens Africa raised as well. Regardless of the price, I still don't find Disney to be that expensive....given the experiences that you have there. Hands down, they rule the market in Orlando and none of the others can even come close to comparing.....so obviously people don't mind paying the money. - Todd I'd actually like to see the percentage of people that pay the full price to any of the Florida parks. Being that all parks offer quite substantial discounts through hotels, stores, grocery stores and just about anywhere you walk into; I could not see anyone paying more than half of the face value.

As being a former fireman/paramedic, I can say the Life Guards at Coney are the most highly trained I have ever encountered. The CI Life Guards are true professionals! It is very stressfull in a near-death situations and only due to their extensive training is that genrtleman still alive. Hardly comparable to game employees or working at UDF! Kudos to the Life Guards. pilotank Missed the point there man. I have two buddies that are Paramedic's for Grady and one that is a Paramedic for Chilren's. I certainly know the stress they are under. I'd guess that they save a couple lives (and lose some) most shift. I think that only one of them ever received recognition in the news. (And that was for responding the the Brian Nichols Courthouse shootings.) What the article above is about it sensationalisim.

Oh, agreed. People go into panics when they are taunted on the drop rides all over the country. Should they do taunts like singing Ring Around the Rosie or Telling People That They're Just Going To Have To Stay Up There? Maybe, maybe not. It's really for the park to decide. I think that I'd put up with general taunting on a drop ride better than slanderous taunting at say a Heckle and Howl?

Finally some bright news for Six Flags.

Uhhhh, I've heard ride ops say many odd and off the wall things on Drop Towers. It certainly goes with the territory. I think people are being a bit hyper-sensetive.

That's actually true. And, I'm amazed that no one else (myself included) thought of it. Why would anyone dine at a restaurant that they found to be disgusting? Hmmmm, first post and a rant at that. Hmmmm, I smell a troll.

And usually those that choose companies that choose to ignore 21st century communications are normally not apt to remain in the 21st century, or at least for long.

Seriously. Could you see shots of her running through the park an pointing at attractions. Then to end have her rest her head on dad as they watch the fireworks. Perfect commercial.

I've witnessed this type of behavior at times and I always wonder why the person feels it's necessary to make a spectacle of it. Just complain to the manager and be done with it, why doncha? If you don't get satisfaction, then go to the next level. Because people that like to make spectacles in public are usually quite full of themselves. It's actually pretty sad in general. I had such an incident occur at Moe's a few months ago. This guy was just belittling and berating this teenage guy behind the counter. I couldn't take it and had ask the guy if it made him feel like a man by picking on a teen that just trying to do his job.

Only had to send an email once and that was to SFOG. I got a personal email that addressed every issue that I had brought up. This was two years ago and they actually sent me two tickets to White Water as I already had a season pass. A buddy sent an email (I probably told that story already) about an incident and he got a personal phone call from the park manager and a free season pass for next year. I've sent an email to Allstate when I had horrible claims service. Within a day I got an email back along with a call from the office manager and the rep's unit manager. I've sent an email to Cingular and had the issues worked out within three days. In actuality, I've sent many complimentary emails and been rewarded with discounts and nice responses, as well. Yes, there are a few businesses that are not responsive to electronic communications. But, I've found those non responsive businesses to be few and far between. The worst that I can think of is IBM. Not only do they bury their email contact addresses in the website but it takes them almost a week to respond with excuses rather than solutions.

Strange, most companies that I know have a policy of responding and recognizing emails within 2 days of receiving them. I would recommend sending an email whenever possible. Most companies are very proactive in that area as they are bound by regulations to keep electronic mail (internal and external) for a period of time.

Thousands of people are saved at hospitals and clinics every day... and just in the US. The first is sensationalism by a media outlet. And if the first is not an every day occurrence (that a life guard comes to someones assistance) then it should be.

exactly! $15/person...where I got two large meals for $15 for two people!....and correction - that was four slices of pizza, two per person! Two slices of pizza is a large meal?
