  1. An amazingly fun movie. I love Reba in general but her role in this was perfect!
  2. Have to disagree. I don't see where any of the web pages created by Universal are anywhere as creative. Those are web pages. Easily created and not nearly as imaginative.
  3. Science 18 June 1971: Vol. 172. no. 3989, pp. 1252 - 1253 DOI: 10.1126/science.172.3989.1252 Prev | Table of Contents | Next Articles Snake Infrared Receptors: Thermal or Photochemical Mechanism? John F. Harris 1 and R. Igor Gamow 1 1 Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences, University of Colorado, Boulder 80302 It appears that the two most sensitive infrared receptors known in the biological world are found in two widely different families of snakes, the pit vipers and the boas. After an infrared stimulus from a carbon dioxide laser, which has a monochromatic output at 10.6 micrometers, we find evoked potentials in boas with chronically implanted electrodes. Our data suggest that the receptors operate on a thermal principle.
  4. I love Beastfan's little signature line picture.
  5. Very interesting perspective Cory. I hope you're right.
  6. Oh, I used to love Rainforest Cafe! I've not been in almost 8 years. Has the quality gone down?
  7. I wonder if that campaign was designed in house or if it was contracted out. Regardless, I think that it's probably one of the most creative campaigns any park has used in a very long time.
  8. A coaster? You're kidding? <G> The only one that has not acknowledged this fact has been the park. Heck, I think that even the Vatican beat KI on releasing this information.
  9. As overtime is exempt for seasonal employees, I'm pretty certain that unemployment is excluded as well. As far as "without just cause" I would consider a direct violation of the employee code of conduct would qualify as just cause. And that brings us back to the fact that the international students are not residents of the state of Ohio. Unemployment being a state coverage with some federal backing, I would figure that individuals on a guest Visa would not qualify.
  10. Ohio is an At Will Employement State. You could certainly be dismissed for far less and be dismissed. Being that the parties involved are not citizens of the country or residents of the state of Ohio, I would doubt they would qualify for Unemployement Benefits.
  11. 1) I had not read that SOB was being Moved to a SF Park! 2) Jz and Interp are far more skilled at interpreting the stocks than I am. But, it's no secret that both SF and CF are in quite difficult financial places.
  12. 1) The one that named a coaster after his father? 2) I don't think that anyone is wondering why SF is struggling. ..... When is CF's 2nd Quarter Conference Call?
  13. Have a Coke and a Smile?
  14. I don't think that ya meant any harm there. <G> Usually it's not so difficult to Interpret when you have ulterior motives. <G>
  15. Ahhh, does not bode well. That would be unfortunate if the park closed. It looks like that is a distinct possibility.
  16. So you would not fear dismissal by going to a media outlet? Now that one boggles the mind.
  17. Well you do pay for your drinks with your ticket so its not free like they say. Exactly. Having free drinks, free parking and free sun screen from a park that charges $39.95 for admission when they really should be charging no more than $25 is the least they can do. The least they can do? So should we be determining what parks should be charging and what is the least they can do now? So what should the price for WDW be? Or Universal? Or Even Kings Island? Seems that with KI's pricing integrity that you can get in for mere nickels (depending on what park of the area you're in). I tell ya Boddah, maybe you're having a bad evening but this is the second cranky post that I've read from you this morning. We could actually say "that's great that "X" park does that - but "Kings Island" is doing what it feels is necessary.
  18. Yeah, those photos of the crowd just screamed that they wished they were at a CF park? Boddah, just because Robby completed a jump at SF does not diminish his jump and the activities at Kings Island. I'm certain that Interp just pointed it out as it occurred and was amusement park related. Ya really should not take offense.
  19. Being that there are multiple people in the apartments paying $400 per person...... A little expensive is kinda an understatement. According to the report from Atlanta, rent is $1200 a month for a four-person apartment, which is $300 per person. If, as BoddaH1994 claims, that is all-inclusive, the price isn't bad. I'll be paying just over $350 a month for a four-person appartment in Clifton, and that doesn't include heat, electricity, or internet access. The living conditions are not what was advertised to the students, and that is certainly very wrong, but as far as pricing goes, I'd say it's comparable to that of a "normal" housing situation. $1,200 per month in Cincinnati would be expensive for a 4 person apartment. Take into consideration that this is not even in Cincinnati, it's phenomenal. Atlanta has what would be considered pretty steep housing and $1,200 puts you in a pretty nice apartment. Before I bought my house down here, I was in a three bedroom apartment for $950/month.
  20. Don't let me hear that you are sharing the beverage in that souvenir cup. That cup was sold to one person and one person only. Remember, Don and the Pop Police will be watching!
  21. That would be very cool. I'd be in for that. I remember we used to have the employee parties (Luau, Pig Roast, etc)
  22. I could not imagine dropping below 235#. I'd really, really, really be in a state of depression.
  23. WOW! Ruth Voss. What an absolute class act. Not to disparage anyone else that has held the position since she was around, but there really was no one better.
