  1. And I think that there can be a strong argument made and associating depression to many of the people cited. The over use of both drugs and alcohol were as a result or at least causally associated with the depression. Had the depression been recognized and treated many of the circumstances could have been prevented.
  2. Remember Oktoberfest Fresh Fruit that was located between International Street Funnel Cakes and Bier Gardens? That was nice to be able to get a Fresh Fruit Cup or Strawberries and Cream. Yummy! I feel for ya working at Rivertown Karts. I imagine that is before Beast Drinks became a stand unto it's own. <G> Can you imagine if food service had to deal with the volume of business that was back in the 70's and 80's?
  3. I can tell ya that I'd much rather deal with someone on substances as opposed to someone that is drunk.
  4. I don't see harm in most anything that is done in moderation. Moderation is the key.
  5. You just proved your own point. Which meat would you say is the most healthiest? Healthiest Meats So it seems Bambi is the Winner. Serve Him Up.......
  6. Woofer is Smarter Than Your Average Bear.......
  7. The Date Calendar Frame Remains in place even during off season. The plants are in box like containers that get dropped in to form the dates and shapes.
  8. Wow, I can't believe we kind of agree on something Deerhunter. I sometimes wonder why everyone has to be so harsh on drugs like marijuana, alcohol is much worse anyway. How so? Some people, not all, can enjoy alcohol in moderation and still function. This is not the case with marijuana, which immediately impairs your senses and can cause you to become a hazard on the road. Actually, I rarely handle claims in which drugs are a factor. I often handle claims in which alcohol is a factor. Use of controlled and illegal substances is so far reaching that there is simply no way that it will be illiminated.
  9. Now isn't that a personal question???? <G>
  10. Yes, the physical structure of the clock is/was a permanent fixture. The arms, of course, are removable. We've had more tornado's this year then in all the years I've lived down here (combined). Today, it's only going to be in the lower 70's. This time of year, it should be in the mid 80's every day.
  11. Wow, I can't believe we kind of agree on something Deerhunter. I sometimes wonder why everyone has to be so harsh on drugs like marijuana, alcohol is much worse anyway. Ofcourse, those that use recreational drugs are a lot differentnow than they used to be. WHile the sterotypical marijuana user back in the late 60s/early 70s was probably a hippie, pretty innocent and happy and all, it is now frat boys (usually a pretty dumb crowd) and gang members (i don't think I have to say anything). People that use recreational drugs hit every age group and every demographic. There are controlled substances that are more prevalent in different communities, but there are substances in most every group. I believe it would be far more useful if controlled substances of any type should be legalized and taxed. The money from the taxes could be funelled towards treatment.
  12. Just something we all have to deal with. Parking spots are small. When I know that it's a tight squeeze; I often park as far out as I can.
  13. And as CF and SF is leveraged to their eyeballs; where would the money come from?
  14. Well I don't think I'd have an issue with it if you paid for both of the spots. If you didn't, then you're only entitled to one parking spot. No one wants to have their vehicles damaged, but can you imagine if each of us decided to take two parking spots? I figured there was more to the story. Happy Belated!
  15. Columbia Palace had just the best fried chicken that I'd ever had in my life. But then, when it was a full service restaurant, the gormet burgers were pretty awesome, as well. But then, the ribs were always tasty. With the Grill House you could smell the Ribs all through Rivertown.
  16. Yes, it used to be that the park did not put in any annual's until Mother's Day weekend. Well, we know that CF and SF are in no position to acquire other parks. Now they both are in positions to unload several parks, but certainly in no position to buy.
  17. Oh, there's never been a problem keeping hands and eyes busy.
  18. Please tell me they did not remove the clock? Something that has been there since the beginning? Something that should be there until the end? Man, is it the second coming of Paramount? .... Is this the end?
  19. Your a moron..Uncle Ted doesn't put drugs and alcohol in his sacred temple Who is the moron? The one that points out very poor writing or someone that used "your" when "you're" is called for?
  20. Well, at the present time, the numbers game makes your generation the least mature. I felt the same way when I was young about mine. But, at the risk of sounding cold, prison and death have a way of weeding the scumbags out of every generation and making it more "mature" as time goes on.......... And there are many people who simply "grow up" and "get it" later in life than you have. Be patient, my friend..... They will catch up ........ Truer words have never been spoken.
  21. It's a good story? As in Cinderella is a good story? As in Huckleberry Fin is a good story? Chef, how was this a good story?
  22. You'd probably be amazed at how much sex has always gone on in the park. Employees, guests and any combination of the two....... I refuse to respond to this post on the ground that it may tend to incriminate me........ LOL!!!! LOL We could start a thread about the places everyone has fooled around.
  23. You'd probably be amazed at how much sex has always gone on in the park. Employees, guests and any combination of the two.......
  24. Hard Lemonade is still around. I actually have some in the fridge. I know that they serve it in some restaurants and bars here in ATL.
  25. Yeah, it's just very confusing. The more comments I read from Mr. Kinzel, the more I'm amazed that he is in charge of a major amusement park chain. Has he always been this way? Could he just have poor advisers? Or is it possible that it's just time for him to step down? (WooferBear's Attempt to Be Delicate in Saying The Man Seems To Be Losing Touch With Reality.)
