  1. Hey! Those big sunglasses were Fashion Hot at one time!
  2. http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d.../805180371/1003 Why does this remind me of Michael Jackson dressing as a woman?
  3. More price integrity? He may be getting some gas-ex in the form of $19.99 and $2.99?
  4. Give her Mr. K's phone number. She's obviously not realized that high gas prices will be of benefit for the parks
  5. If it bleeds it leads.
  6. I could see that the news networks may show clips of it. I can't see anyone really doing a national feed of the jump as it's just not national news. Gotta remember that TV was very different in the 70's than it is now.
  7. Here here! I have said for a mighty long time that Kings Island needs a ferris wheel. Every amusement park should have one! Kings Island has had two. One in Oktoberfest and one called Zodiac (if you would consider that a ferris wheel).
  8. ... Before Interp get's to it.... So do those nickles. ... WooferBear on a Good Nights Sleep Not a lot of middle age and senior citizens attending Math & Science Day? I'm Shocked!
  9. Evel used to "wing it?" OK, as a biker and a guy that grew up watching Evel, please tell me how Evel "Winged" it. On a side note, I've asked several people that don't seem to know, either. What/who is the pic on your avatar?
  10. You've actually been very good in holding off on telling people that the footers are footings. OK, now back to the talk about he footers.
  11. Didn't KI previously have a "fun house" type place at one time? I seem to remember when I was a kid going through a house of mirrors at KI where the outside was shaped like a house of cards. Am I making that up? Fool House** Wasn't really a "fun house" It was a walk through attraction that had a maze and had some mirrors in it.
  12. I don't think that it had an effect on attendance out of the immedicate area of SFKK. I'd venture to say that not many going to SFOG could tell you that the incident even occured. I thought that Six Flags stated in their Investor Conference call that it did affect attendance chain wide. You know people hear about an accident at Six Flags and just think about their local Six Flags. You did. But much of what you will hear in these calls is spin. (As has been pointed out in the CF calls.) It's much easier to attribute drop in attendance and revenue to a horrible accident than to actually look at other serious issues that may be present.
  13. You've got to be kidding. I so did not know that Paramount asked to be annexed. Man, and we thought that Mr. K was crazy.
  14. Be careful with that kind of statement. People in Connecticut and Alaska Vote. If they are Voting they are likely voting for not only issues but political candidates. If they are Voting for political candidates those statements could be construed as political. If it is political the topic will be closed.
  15. I don't remember Yogi Bear Saying That. Was that a problem at Jellystone Park?
  16. I don't think that it had an effect on attendance out of the immedicate area of SFKK. I'd venture to say that not many going to SFOG could tell you that the incident even occured.
  17. And Available on the Web Everywhere?
  18. Remember when they had the Renaissance Fair in Tower Gardens? I think that it was '86 or '87.
  19. Can you imagine what a Pot Brownie at CP would cost?
  20. Yes, but how many GIANT Top Spins are there in the world? Ahhhhh It's just like New Tide.
  21. Ahhh, don't see that. How do you think this is an accurate statement? If you are not seeing this, then you are obviously blind. The middle class families have been disappearing for years...meaning they probably joined the have nots and not by choice. Actually don't see a lot of have nots any more. I can speak on this topic as I grew up DIRT POOR. I remember mom working two jobs just so that we could barely make it from week to week. I remember not being able to have a window replaced in the garage door because it cost $20 and that we'd not be able come up with that kind of money. A lot of people don't realize what poor really is in this day and age. Now granted, both sets of my parents have more money now than I'd be able to spend. (Darn Them! <G>) But ya just don't see a lot pure struggling like there was at one time.
  22. I went for my grad night in 1999, and I don't really recall any bad stuff going on! Of course, I was the perfect angel. By in far, most of those that attended Grad Nights were good. It was a very small but destructive group on many of the Friday's, though.
  23. Oh, really? Please explain the virtually identical skyrides that still operate to this day, including in several Six Flags parks.... Not certain why, I just know that it's correct. Explain to me why it's a little difficult to get parts for a Top Spin ride when there are Top Spins that are working all over the world. One year there was a part that needed to be replaced in the Oktoberfest station. It took almost a year to have it shipped from Europe.
  24. Actually the removal had nothing to do with low ridership but everything to do with maintenance/replacement parts.
  25. Ohhh, I was kinda excited if it were like the nightly air show. That would have been something to pull off.
