Was actually 19. I was in that "grandfathered class" when they switched over the age to 21. I remember that ya had to be 18 in the park to pour beer and wine coolers.
-
One of the places employees would go after close was the Gold Star up towards Mason. (Was one of the few places in the area that served beer in them days.) There were many that were under age and we went in large groups. When they would card everyone, we'd pass all the id's to the end of the table. We'd confuse the server so much (almost every night) that everyone would get served. <G>

When I was supervisor at International Street Funnel Cakes, I remember coming in on Saturday morning (after grad night) and they had bent a wrought iron table in half. Now mind you, you could stand on these tables and not put a dent in them. Absolute destruction.
-
No, Grad Nights just plain sucked to work at. Never seen so much destruction of the park in my life.
-
And that was primarily the reason that the trail was closed. Too difficult to patrol for the people doing less than legal activities in a public place.

Our goal is to have the Hotel Breakers and Camper Village at Cedar Point cashless by 2010. You'll be able to walk into the hotels and get a key that will be your credit card and you'll be able to use it in some areas of the park and in the hotel. Yes, has worked for the Gaylord Entertainment/Convention complexes for years. We're trying to make it more convenient for them to come to the park and spend money. Does anyone proof his comments before he makes them? How about saying, "We're trying to make it more convenient for guest to enjoy every aspect of our parks and properties." If we had the money on the balance sheet, we have hotel opportunities at Kings Dominion and Carowinds and in Canada. We have plenty of land around all of those parks to make it into a resort community like Cedar Point. Notice any parks missing from that statement? Seems like one is kinda an Island of it's own? Yes, it really was. Plus, they're in the southern region. Charlotte is a high-growth area. Richmond is doing very well. We felt Santa Clara in California was an underutilized property. The one we were really surprised by was Canada's Wonderland. It's going to be a great property. If they did not know the value of Canada's Wonderland, I seriously doubt their knowledge level in entering that transaction. Not certain if that is spin, but I certainly hope it is. We take surveys every day in all of our parks. At the end of the year, we compare all of the parks. We ask leading questions that help us in our decision making. They'll let you know if they're paying too much or if they've had a bad day. No, you ask leading questions to get the answers that you want to receive. You ask objective questions to get the answers to help you make decisions.

Mr. Kinzel also has spoken of price integrity, right before offering all kinds of discounts and offers last year. Do we really think that anything he says is any more than spin?

The volume WAS there...I think the food sales are down significantly in the park. You can see many, many, many guests eating in the parking lot. Far more than ever before. You can also watch the exodus from the park at meal times, both out the front gates and out the parking lot exits....Why stay for food that is both subpar and overpriced? Why, indeed? See, and that is what we always tried to avoid happening. The labor cost and food cost for even the smallest stands are incredibly low in comparison to a free standing operation outside the park. There honestly is no justification for the prices that CF and SF charges for their products.
-
So the question is? Were you improperly parked? Not saying the note was the correct way to handle things, but me thinks that there was an issue with your parking to prompt such a note. Most people would not go to the effort to write a note unless there were an issue.

When I was in food service at the park, the idea was to price food in relation to food that was available just outside of the park. Often you would find items less than you could find outside the park and sometimes just slightly above. The volume that one of the food stands can do in one day is often what a restaurant outside the park does in several days. The volume is there and that actually drives prices down. The fresh prepared thing is something Interp has harped on many times. I know that it was Paramount that started using so much pre-prepared food and even went so far as removing Bakery. But ya know, CF does not have to continue the same mistakes. It's just mind boggling with some of the decisions. Then again, it's still inconceivable to me that a theme/amusement park would put in a stand that would specifically be closed one of the busiest days of the week. That simply defies logic. It would be like putting in a Jewish Deli that were closed on Saturday. This will probably be a make or break year for many parks in several chains. Only time will tell if they continue to proceed as they have.
-
And that is what I can not understand at all. I worked as a Supervisor at Kings Island. Granted, prices have increased everywhere since I was there but in no way has it been comparable. Top it off with the fact that almost everything we prepared was made in the park (rather than prepackaged) I can not fathom the justification in those prices. Now to compare a SF or a CF park with Disney is unrealistic. No SF or CF park can compare with the volume that Disney does. But what they can compare with is a Universal Park or a Busch Park. I'd like someone at SF or CF to explain how Busch/Universal parks can offer fresh, prepared in the park products for less than a SF or CF park.

That does not sound too busy for a Saturday?

Not just similarities, pretty much exact.

Certainly looks to be a splash area.

Oh WOW. That is a perfect example of why someone should not attempt to write while drunk or cracked out.

Lazarus no longer operates as an independent label. You will find it as "Macy's" at this point. You also oare not likely to find a Lazarus or Macy's at Forest Fair. (Try Tri-County Mall) As for hunters dollars, it is only a piece of the money to fund wildelife funds and parks. If you are expecting credit be given, I'd expect that you would recognize all the areas in which said credit should be given.

Love Larry the Cable Guy. Saw him in concert a couple years ago and was hands down the funniest comedian I've seen. Probably eat it. Hunting is and has been an important part of America for centuries. I don't see any issue with it as long ass the hunter is not (and most are not) wasteful. If you believe that animals have all the rights that people do, (and they actually do not under the law) how did you come up with that decision?

So, you're going down the road and are unable to stop your vehicle. There is a child in the road and an animal in the road. You're not able to swerve to avoid striking both. Art, which one do you hit?

Got the Window Down, Got The Raido Up - Reckless by Alabama As I do more research it is (or appears to be) tag lines from a lot of older songs. ie - Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson, etc. You're not finding the exact lines as they're a combination of lines from songs. If you break them down, you'll find the songs. .... WooferBear .... Who listens to Country Almost Exclusively. (Except for Broadway)
-
Never see Celebration?
-
Sounds like a medley. Those lines are in many different country songs.
