NOTIFY PARK SECURITY
7 years doing work for Hamilton County Department of Human Services (Now Known as Jobs and Family Services) - 4 of those working as an ongoing case manager in the Children's Services Division - Add in teaching parenting classes on Saturday's and some weeknights. I've been single for going on 4 years now. My partner and I were together for 7 years and he was not interested in having kids. I won't have kids until I'm in another committed relationship. So if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it's not meant to be.

NOTIFY PARK SECURITY
And that's what the kick in the butt is. When some of us were growing up, we would never be able to do the things that children get away with now. Man, if I'd acted up in a public place, my butt would be trotted outside and taken care of. We just knew better.

Clean Park?
I'd be interested in seeing statistics on that.

The Robbie Knievel Jump in a Nutshell
Completely. I could not really sit and watch a race on TV. To me, it's kinda like watching vs playing golf. But the energy and excitement of being at an actual NASCAR race is absolutely intoxicating. You really can not imagine how fast the cars really are going and the engery that is produced. When they go around the bends it's almost like the cars are floating.

Clean Park?
No, in general. Seemed like under Paramount it was Golden Ticket this and Golden Ticket that. I personally think that it's refreshing.

At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)
I actually have a few buddies that are Canadian and a few buddies that hold US and Canadian Citizenship. They identify as Canadian's just as we identify as US Citizens, but they also call themselves Americans.

Clean Park?
The Golden Ticket thing is really political. I wouldn't doubt that KI would be recognized for being a clean park some time in the near future, but going from zero to hero rarely happens with that voting group. Anyone notice less talk about the "Golden Ticket" popularity contest, since CF took over?

Oh Contrair! It's far less a concern about parents "bruising their kid's egos and far more about poor parenting. More often you run into parents that will say that their little darling is just perfect. How often have you been in a restaurant or public place and a child has just gone wild. The parent will just sit there and ignore the entire situation. I was in a nice Cuban restaurant about a year ago. These brats were running up and down the aisles while their parents sat their at their table and ate. The wait staff had no idea what to do or what to say. Sooooo..... I got up, went to their table and told them that they needed to control their children. The mother got up in a huff and took the children outside. Everyone at the other table just looked shocked that they had been told to take care of these little monsters. That's one of the main reasons that I'm in support of a children's and non-children's section of restaurants. Are you really a pediatrician? If you are, you're aware that there is a difference between abuse and discipline. No one "goes to jail" for discipline or corporal punishment. As for going to jail, that is not normally what happens in abuse cases. You would appear before a Magistrate to determine the next course of action and the children would be placed into protective custody. But as a pediatrician you know this?

Your Thoughts on Robbie Knievel Day
Have you met ItalianChef? <G> I guess you'd never see the Kings of Komedy when they were a staple of the park.

Jeff Foxworthy lives in Alpharetta. <G> A good portion of Alpharetta makes Indian Hill look like the slums. .... Just FYI

When exactly did Redneck become an appropriate slur? How else do you describe a man who is wearing a tank top that used to be white (I will not describe it in a manner that may be a slur against those who engage in domestic violence ), covered in tattoos and who looks as though he hasn't bathed for a considerable period of time? Well as I understand it, the term Redneck comes from those that would put in considerable time working in the fields. As the sun can be quite strong while in that situation, the workers would often wear hats and long sleeved shirts and long pants. The long pants and shirts were to protect during the the work. The only exposed part would be the back of their necks. The sun would beat down and make their necks read. Soooo, if you're indicating that the person was a hard worker.... I completely agree.

Kings Island has an enormous Picnic area.

Well that is due to backlash, I'm certain. It was not too long ago that families did not feel safe walking around SFOG. Now, I can't imagine anyone does not feel comfortable and at ease.

Alton Towers Tries PDA/Smartphone Ban
Hmmmm, not certain how the laws are regarding that in England. I'm not certain that any US park would want to accept the liability for caring for PDA/Smart Phone's. Can you imagine if one was lost? If an employee went through pics? Obtained phone numbers? Made calls? I like the idea, but can see it going over well in the States.

Did anyone see this yesterday?
Ohh, you're pointing it out because she was really good. Now I get it. So you think that she was a professional then? Oh Interp, I don't think that Iheart would be so shallow and inconsiderate to criticize someone for their weight. I'm certain that being a pediatrician that she judges people on their inner qualities! Come On!

Actually you have that exactly opposite. In large crowd it's almost crucial to insist that rules be followed. If you do not, things can go bad very quickly.

People making out in lines
Well then make a mental note: They should have a phone, they should have a job, they should have transportation, they should be sane and should have a place to live. Those are the vital things.

Tomb Raider: The Ride or The Crypt?
Maybe it's Feng Shui by making the Crypt more violent. It's a balance to SOB on the other side of the park.
