SFKK S:TOP Accident Report Expected Friday
I can't imagine SF's is self insured. I've been asking around to find out who may be their insurer. Shapiro would not sign any settlment unless there were no insurance for the park or ride.

SeaWorld Orlando - Manta OFFICIALLY Announced!
I'd say that Sea World best not build a Manta in Australia, then. Otherwise, they should be fine.

Chef, if you're going to comment on a topic please read the entire topic before posting. Also, keep the sites Terms of Service in mind, politics are not allowed unless directly related to KI. Now you know that Chef never reads through a topic before posting! He's never going to even see the post that ya just made!

A New Cedar Point Ploy
The statement has nothing to do with leaving and re-entering the park.

eek! Top gun!
I could see SOB listed as SBNO for some time before a decision is actually made to tear the structure down.
-
eek! Top gun!
I would think that very assumption would be oh so obvious to everyone.

Update on the former Lion Country Safari Monorail
Mr. Adams, Thank you for the updates on the monorail. It's much appreciated. Maybe we should add a Jungle Jim's section of the forum that is similar to the Coney Island section.

Cedar Point Targets Families With Own 'Stimulus Package'
If he were actually so convinced, there would not be such deep discounts. Mr. Kinzel is not the only one that is guilty of making these claims. The chain that numbers it's flags has made similar comments and have slashed it's prices similar and more drastically than CF.

Clean Park?
I'd be interested in seeing statistics on that. I'm a little surprised you didn't have access to that data back when you were serving food at the park. No, to the best of my knowledge, there was no Golden Ticket award at that time. From their website, it appears that Amusement Today was formed in 1997. So presumably, the Golden Ticket Beauty Contest was formed after the magazine's start date. Now back to the statistics. Do you have them available Boddah?

Losantiville
Ohio/Cincinnati History In 1788, Israel Ludlow, Matthias Denman, and Robert Patterson purchased eight hundred acres from John Cleves Symmes along the Ohio River at the Licking River's mouth. Symmes had purchased two million acres of land from the Confederation Congress in 1787 and now hoped to become rich by selling parts of the Symmes Purchase to others. Denman provided the necessary cash; Patterson found settlers; and Ludlow surveyed the land to make sales and also establish a town. By early January 1789, Ludlow had platted the town, dividing it into two types of lots. Near the town's center, lots were one-half acre. Outlying lots were four acres. Ludlow, Denman, and Patterson provided the first thirty settlers with two free lots, one of each type. The three men named the town Losantiville. The name was a convoluted contraction of the idea that this was a "city across from the mouth of the Licking River."

Fligh deck Problem May 24th
Not many people would understand what that meant, which is why they are taught to say "technical difficulties." The mat as well have sad it was the Flux Capacitor.

Fligh deck Problem May 24th
Okay, I never post on here but have always found this site fun and informative. I just really find the "stupid guests" comment unnecessary and uncalled for. I for one love coasters and rides but have never worked at an amusement park so my knowledge on the way things work is limited. Without having first hand experience and being a "stupid guest" I suppose something like that might scare someone. So I'm extending my thanks to you for looking down at those of us who have never worked in the amusement park industry as "stupid". Thank You. Especially that it turned out to be stupid posters... Before tycoonrebel7188 cleared things up.

At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)
One of my best buddies dated a guy that lived in BC but worked most of the time in ATL. I have a good friend from Chatanooga that married a guy that is from Toronto. They live there now. I know a few folk that emigrated to Canada a few years ago. Soooooo, I get to here quite a bit about the Canadian point of view.

NOTIFY PARK SECURITY
He's really Dick Kinzel! Based upon statementsmade, I think that Interp will not take kindly to that comparison.

Quick question.....can I bring my own food/drink into the park?
I bring protein bars to most places that I go. I've never had an issue or a problem at any amusement park or stadium that I've ever been to. Security is always more concerned with the chain on my wallet than any snacks I may have.
