  1. No, it says to save money. I think that in small print it says, "Unless you have a toddler that throws temper tantrums."
  2. I wonder if they're changing their focus. They've closed most of the free standing locations in and around Atlanta.
  3. Oh my gosh! LOL, I'm wondering how many exclusives that WLWT is gonna be getting from the park in the future. How funny. "Go to the park but don't think of eating there."
  4. In general, I think that it's just wise for everyone to have a passport. For the most part, it's what many to most in other countries would never think twice about. Passports are accepted as positive ID for far more than just entering and exiting the country.
  5. Well, that would be a bright side.
  6. And I have crossed the border many times without having to say anything other than where you are headed to. Those days are long gone. I would venture to say that it's probably a best bet to just get the passport.
  7. I'm not certain about driving to Canada and requiring a passport. I've not driven to the country since the changes went through. I do know that you must have a passport to fly into Canada and then to return to the US.
  8. Probably not, but I'm not sure. I'm not on the "in" with this one. I was told by certain park official(s) to make sure I have that day free and that KI would be the place to be this 4th of July. Beyond that, I really have no info. You guys have to realize that the 4th of July isn't a typically crowded day for Kings Island. It's primarily the activities that day that draw the people. 4th of July, Father's Day and Mother's Day are three of the most difficult days for the park. In fact, at one point the park used to be dead on the 4th. One of the big reasons attributed to that is that many people would stay away as they thought park woudl be packed. In turn, it was light.
  9. Politicians and activists are already lining up against the deal, saying it could cost jobs in the United States and send ownership of an iconic American company overseas. Missouri Republican Gov. Matt Blunt said he opposes the deal, and he directed the Missouri Department of Economic Development to see if there was a way to stop it. Yeah, election year. I can see this one going down pretty fast.
  10. It all connects with parenting skills. It's not always an "ass-whooping" but some times it is. It goes back to discipline and guidance. Many parents constitute that good parenting is constantly purchasing things for their children. It's almost a perversion (for lack of a better word) in how some parents believe that "love" and "caring" should be shown. And I'd venture to say that you and your sister were not raised exactly the same. There are often variables (specifically between male and female siblings) in the way that children within one family are raised. Birth order plays a large role as does the age of the parents.
  11. How about, "We'll get you a special ice cream at UDF on the way home?" I don't have children but I actually understand quite a bit about parenting. I taught parenting classes for a period of time. I also know that if you give in to every temper tantrum you are certainly in for ...... more tantrums. I also know that parents that have children that are referred to as "so well behaved" are not a result of accident.
  12. They're gonna play Scooby Too? I'd venture to say that it's likely a deal that the park agrees to set the event up and the producers agree to provide the talent.
  13. Which Bank? Bank of America?
  14. $2.95 is still like 59 Nickels!!!! I so don't understand up-charge attractions.
  15. It's an upcharge? $20 is Like 400 Nickels!
  16. Anyone that gets the chance to go to the Georgia Acquarium certainly needs to take the opportunity to do so. It's an amazing acquarium. The hint is that the acquarium (though it is the largest) is sold out on most days. You have to schedule your tickets a day or two in advance. Around the holiday's you may need to schedule a couple weeks in advance. As crazy as it sounds to have to schedule tickets and times in advance, it really is worth it.
  17. Their sponsorship went a great distance as far as defraying much of the cost associated with shows.
  18. Yes, And Like Coke.... they Are Delivered Upon Angel's Wings! .... By The Way, WooferBear Does Not Drink Carbonated Beverages.
  19. Ahhh.... Both Perfect Examples of Why The Park Should Want Nothing To Do With Pepsi.
  20. Using 1972 prices is part of the "Everything Old is New Again" plan.
  21. There are many things that are profitable. Here in Atlanta, Strip Clubs turn a tidey profit. But you know, I don't think that SF is interested in adding any Strip Clubs soon. (Not Even At Halloween!)
  22. Don't tell me that picnic grove has gotten to be that bad. That's very unfortuate.
  23. It's cause you didn't have a 4 year old to out score.
  24. From one angle, I agree, as long as the ride is indentical to the former S;ToP. But from the other; since the accident in Spain did not end tragically, quite possibly due to the ride operator hitting the E-Stop button, that could be against SF and their training procedures. Yes, but the fact that there was another incident will give SF's arguing points that there may be some inherent issues with the design and operation of the ride.
