Uh, no. The Beast will be running its normal PTC trains this year. The park did receive some G trains fro Geauga Lake, they are now parts donors and can be seen from the air sitting outside exposed to the elements if you have a friend in the flying business.
-
Uhm, where were there ever "trimless" ride sessions? The trim brakes exist for a reason. The old skid brakes could be adjusted far more easier by adding and lessening the counterweight and could be changed during the day where as the magnetic brakes can not. There were never "trimless" ride sessions, it would be a nightmare on the track and in complete violation of state safety laws. The ride was not, and still is not, approved and inspected by the state to run, or ever run, without its trim brakes.
-
Nope, they unload in the station. The way that article was written is very misleading. While the ride was being shut down for weather concerns and passengers were unloading in the station a train sitting in the "ready" brakes, the block right before the station, was struck by a train that came up into the brake run and slid through the wet skid brakes.

-We never thought they'd remove the antique cars or flying scooters either, anything can happen in the day of the McTheme Park. -Which is how the previous two owners used it and viewed that as its best role. -Unfortunately, the train had to sacrifice its show for Kings Island to have a water park, but when you think about it, they didn't really have any other option. I'm sure there would have been more guests upset with the long walk to the water park than there were guests upset about the train losing its show.

Binoculars aren't even needed, I took this while in the GWL parking lot where I parked my vehicle after a meeting this past season...

To the left of that "gate/trespassing point" is the old campground, I'm not sure if that section of land got sold to GWL when they sold them the land to build the lodge, regardless you probably were trespassing on either GWL's or KI's property. Not saying you were wrong in doing so, there is a public road right there and no signs indicating the property line.

Don't be so sure, it doesn't take much...Exhibit A.... Just remember even if it proves to be true that the history and tradition of the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad has been discarded by Cedar Fair....

Come on now Interpreter, don't be a Villain.
-
Can you confirm that we have?

Doesn't really affect me one way or the other, who cares. While the Festhaus may not serve traditional German cuisine like my mother-in-law, the arrangement, theming, decor, and building make it feel like a German feathaus.

Hopefully, you realize that: * Many, if not perhaps most, of the posters here are underage to be drinking beer. * Many others who are of age do not partake, either in the park or perhaps not at all, for reasons ranging from religious to lack of desire to participate in such activities to being recovering alcoholics to not wanting to encourage Cedar Fair's food and drink pricing practices. Some of us don't even drink root beer anymore... See, even a conciliatory statement on this board can get one in a quibble! We're funny like that. Most of us, anywho. Beatle you also need to realize a few other things that you fail to clarify and could also get you in a quibble in addition to what Interpreter said: * What brand of beer? and * Who's buying?

Does removing a nice serene, scenic, beautiful lake in Rivertown for a very large coaster seem like getting back to that point? Worth the trade? Not saying thats "confirmed", just a rumor I heard.

Did Hara Arena get new seats lately? -
I doubt that the conversation will really drift to other sites that much, this isn't eliminating all rumor discussion, it's just asking people to to confirm their source if they want to make a claim that a rumor is 100 percent confirmed. If you had been watching the site closely the past few months you would notice that there have been a lot of posts claiming that something is confirmed with absolutely no source and by a member who has hardly been on the website long enough to build up any kind of reputable reputation. For examples it would prevent a user from doing something like this... Randomtroll05 - "I have a second cousin inside the park who can confirm that WWC will be removed for the re-location of Gemini J.R." I think posts like that have confused certain parties that ryan alludes to, because they know KI is usually a very reputable source... It's just asking people to put up or shut up when bringing up a rumor. This site usually has the best updates from the park anyways, I enjoyed their exclusive updates of Firehawk last season, so I'll stay here.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if that license is expanded much further than 4 years. Well at the time Cedar Fair took over in 06, the Nick name was in its 1st year. I think they should keep it too. Makes it to where you have 2 different cartoon names in one state instead of just one. Better for all partys. Cedar Fair has the inherent rule of doing what works. So you're probably right. They probably kept Snoopy for a reason, just like they'll probably keep Nick for a reason... They kept Snoopy because the Nick licensing terms at the time of the finalized Paramount Park's acquisition was only for Nick licensing in the Paramount Park's, it didn't expand to the legacy parks, just as the current Peanut's licensing is for the Legacy parks and not for the Paramount parks. With Cedar Fair's current financial condition, while not terrible, money is tight, I doubt they pay to expand Nick to the other parks ever, Kinzel noted in the last conference call that they have no intention of doing this anytime soon. He also noted that the Nick licensing was still under negotiation. -
I believe it was "something new will drop in 1997" or 1998, as Drop Zone opened in it current location in 1999. The Drop Tower that would have been in Coney Mall would have been similar to Superman: Tower of Power (the former Hellevator) at Kentucky Kingdom, and the Drop Zone at Carowinds, instead they opted to add it later on as part of the Action Zone expansion and go with one of the first generation Intamin Gyro Drops.

Flight Commander really lost its appeal after its first few seasons and the accident, it wasn't a very comfortable or enjoyable ride to begin with.

I'd rather see trampolines there making a profit for the park than see the pad sit empty again.

*Gridding My Teeth* As said in earlier posts, who designed the: Magnum? Tennessee Tornado? Vortex? Top Gun? Corkscrew? Loch Ness Monster? Steel Phantom? Sure he had his downs, But he was not lazy. Actually other people brought up those points, not you.

Are you trained to handle wild animals such as a bear? I think if I had such a wild beast in my house I'd be worried about it breaking the furniture. <G>
