Companys such as Clear Channel have a "formula" that they apply to their stations across the country. In our small town we have 5 radio stations, 3 are owned by the same company. In the end, when you have just a few program directors deciding what the major radio stations are playing you get less variety...just ask the record labels. Nowhere in the link you posted does it say anything about "W.", any legistlation he enacted towards media consolidation, but in fact it jsut keeps refrencing the link I posted earlier about the telecomunnications act of 96. And I do agree, there is less variety on the radio these days, but at the same time ther are many other viable alternatives to listening to the radio.

Actually it was not George W. Bush who lifted the "ban". It was the "Telecomunnications Act of 1996" that was approved by then preisdent Bill Clinton, that allowed Clear Channel to have such a large market share, even as up to as many as 7 stations in one market. They also don't decide what the public should listen to, they decide what they feel is appropriate to be played on their airwaves and the public has a choice of whether not they want to listen.

Typical, typical Cedar Fair... This quote in particular.... Reminds me of a certain other park where Kinzel and co. came in and didn't listen to what the folks working there had to say because in the end they got exactly what they wanted from that place and the next time they saw Kinzel; he was showing them security and having them escorted out the front gate while the rides came down behind them. Actually you said... Ive also wondered why the King Cobra trains are stll around and why they havent gone to Wonderland or Dominion to be used as spare parts. The G trains laying around im sure will unfortuanently be placed on a woodie at KI this year. Which one and which direction they face, is still to be seen....but i can thnk of a cheap, affective strategy that CF has for them.

Paramounts Kings Island had a department called Tech Services which originally was put in place to help keep up and restore theming. Over the years KI cut back tech services and gave them other jobs on top of upkeeping theming such as restoring games microphones and maintaining cash registers. In 2007 Cedar Fair cut the department in half and has given absolutely no budget to restoring theming. Remember that whole time Tomb Raider operated with no sound? I havent even seen Adventure Express with working effects in years and how long has it been since the IJ helicopter raised up and down? Im still waiting on the stairs effects on IJ, the fishtailing cars, and the onbaord sound. Cedar Fair hasn't done anything to repair theming, they even let it deteriorate worse than Paramount did. One weekend while riding the train they made the operators use a megaphone because they hadnt fixed the trains microphone yet. You could hardly hear the poor guy talking, who was by far the nicest employee ive ever met in my 20 year history of visiting the park, i think his name was Dustin... Anyways, the point here is, CF hasn't done anything to restore theming and as their history as a company shows....they dont care about theming (Disaster Transport at CP), theyre in a lot of hot water with money, and they intend to be cheap and get this debt paid off (Closing of GL rides side, and now potentially selling GA) Also, whats with the light thing? Is it really that hard to walk back there? Its not like its a mile or anything. When I went back in August with my daughter and her fiance both FOF and Firehawk were closed in the morning and a ride op from each ride was standing under the X base arch.

Not to mention that Jeff Seibert also no longer works for the park and can not help this time.

Neither can I, those Beast trains still have the original chasis and some original parts on them. THe wood coaster maintenance team at KI is a splendid team and even if they do end up going with Gerstauler because thats what CF wants them im sure theyll do a fine job. Like Hendrick said, nothing is certain.

They're not going on either Beast or Racer officially yet, its just for KI's wood coaster team to test out the feasibility of using them on a regular gauge track such as Beast or Racer. Right now all thats planned is testing. The parts and upkeep on G trains is drastically cheaper than those of PTC build, whether the ride is more comfortable or not with these trains is another thing....however CF is about being cheap. Dont be surprised if you see these trains on a KI wood coaster next year or in future years. And remember, there are 2 other G trains from GL that havent gone anywhere yet.

We dont know why the kid hit the E-stop, exactly what kind of scene he created as he was leaving, what happened in the interrogation room, theres no evidence to support he assualted the cops or security officers or to support that the cops were arrogant about the situation. Theres nothign saying the interegation room camera wasn't working. I love how you just tried to turn this in the complete other way. No one here knows what happened exactly, and how and if it was is being decided in a court of law, not by "know-it-all's" on the internet. None of us here know the situation, its not safe to assume the kid got what he desereved of ir he was abused. No official facts are present. If you have a beef with KI security, perhaps you care to elaborate on your experiences and put some backing behind your claims. Why pick sides when you dont know the whole story?

I agree with KIfan73! He has done nothing wrong and I feel represents the average passholder who is going to be misled and misguided by this companies stupid decisions to upcharge this late in the year, IF they even decide to do that, which they havent yet and that reflects how even more stupid they are. Wanna change the event, thats fine, but do it earlier in the year not at the last minute and then not do enough to inform pass holders like KIfan73. All he did was read a statement, if whoever designed the website had the slightest brain maybe they could add that it includes admission to all events and then add the exceptions. Don't listen to Hauntguy KIfan, don't feel bad because your not as "informed" as him. Hauntguy, I really hope that for someone who is working Halloween Haunt and an employee of Cedar Fair that, thats not the attitude their teaching you, I'm pretty sure If i called the park or went to guest relations they wouldn't tell me to "Wait for the darned press release".
