If Halloween Haunt is an upcharge for passholders...
neo8820 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
I think $20-$30 is a fair price for non-season pass holders and $10-$20 for season pass holders. I hope this isn't off topic but I think it is fine since I'm not saying there should or shouldn't be a fee... If free fear feast admission was promised for season pass holders then there needs to be something done to calm the waves if they do charge...perhaps a free ticket per pass to Halloween Haunt or something like that. That way you at least get one admission to Halloween Haunt but have to pay if you want to come back. -
I think I would be fine with that. The main reason I got to the Halloween events in Oct is to get a few rides at night in the cold air before the season ends.
-
Not really because a ticket could just be a regular park admission ticket that season pass holders wouldn't need.

Does anyone know the name of the songs that play in the queue for Italian Job?

The only problem with the parking is that it doesn't work at SFKK. I know the reason behind it (the park doesn't own the parking lot, if you were wondering) but I still see that as being a MAJOR GR issue. Employee: "I'm sorry sir, your parking pass doesn't work at this park." Guest: "It's supposed to work at every Six Flags park." Employee: "Oh, I know... it works at every Six Flags park on earth... except this one." Guest: "Yeah right...." I spoke with Neal Thurman Director of SFKK Park Ops and Admin earlier in the year and suggested that there should be some sort of parking pass for the fair grounds that would just work on days the park was open. There is a parking pass but it is $100 for the whole year and gets you into any event at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center. He mentioned that they are working on building a parking lot just for SFKK but didn't give any details on where it would be, cost etc. He did mention it was several years off though so who knows if it will really happen.

Super Saturator at Carowinds To Go Dry
neo8820 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That is so sad. I was there with some friends from work and my wife in July and it was one of my favorite rides. If they do keep the ride it is very dull without the water. I wonder why? -
Yes I agree when I was there on 8/4/07 SOB was much smoother than The Racer.
-
You should try an Vekoma SLC. Hang and Bang anyone? Yes absolutely the worst. The one at SFKK is horrible.
-
One fact I found interesting is while the loop support structure was steel there was still your typical wooden coaster track on top of the steel support structure.
-
That's very interesting. I was wondering why we still couldn't do the tour even with the ride being down.
-
Yeah, I thought it was funny that we seemed to be together on a lot of the tours. I was looking through my pictures and I actually got 1 or 2 pretty good pictures of you all. Take a look and send me a private message to let me know if there are any you want and I'll send the file. http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=neo8820&AID=4728261

That is me in the orange shirt looking very serious for some reason! My wife Amber is really short so I guess she is hiding behind the person in front of me

SF: Flying At Less Than Half Staff
neo8820 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I don't think the board at SF would mind hearing e. That is their big emphasis to focus more on family, park cleanliness, customer service etc. However, after reading some of the posts about CF customer service it appears they haven't reached the same state of nirvana SF has. -
Oh just some things... Why doesn't someone ask the Dippin Dots guy?

SF: Flying At Less Than Half Staff

Hmm, I think investors are in for a ride but if the new board gets to where they want to be in the next 3 years there could be quite a reward for investors during this transition period. Six Flags aside the whole theme park industry seems to be having a rough time. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? -
Excellent trip report and an excellent picture of FOF.

News article regarding fundraising event for Kaitlyn Lasitter http://www.wlky.com/news/13828668/detail.html The bar hosting the event is where Kaitlyn's mom worked as a waitress. -
Not as good as the one from Beast BUZZ a few years back but it is still cool since it is from a different angle.
