You'd actually be surprised how far emails, calls, and letters get you with Kings Island. EVERY email that is received with GR feedback is documented along with the park representative's response. Emails are taken seriously and responded to within 24-48 hours. If a guest leaves a phone number, they'll more than likely be called within that time period as well. All complaints made to the 800 number are documented on a shift report and reviewed by management daily. Many people have even been contacted who posted negative things on this web site. People are usually not only happy with the fact that the park responds to their concerns, but also that their concerns are taken seriously. So by all means, drop them an email, call the park directly at 1-800-288-0808, or stop by GR if you have any comments or concerns. They will be heard. Ryan

Things are taking shape, and quickly... Looks like more vertical beams have been added and a second layer has been added to more sections as well. I'm pretty confident at this point that this will be the station and/or transfer area... Something that we haven't seen a lot of during the season but isn't an uncommon sight now is construction workers doing their thing while the park is open. Many of you remember the massive amount of track that was staged in the parking lot when Firehawk was going up. Obviously that's not much of an option right now, so the staging are seems to be behind Firehawk. Remeber that that announcement will be this Wednesday, August 6th! Members of the KICentral Mobile Club will be the absolute first to know because they will get a LIVE text update as soon as details are released! Also, don't forget that the KICentral Event will happen on August 16th and will feature a CONSTRUCTION TOUR of the new ride! LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS MONDAY!!! Click here to order tickets! AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
BoddaH1994 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I'd much rather have a limited amount of food of high quality than an unlimited amount of food of low quality. I really do not understand why people line up for subpar food of limited quality but unlimited quantity. Wait a minute...after looking at the size of most of the people in places like Golden Corral, I think I may understand it. Sad. It's really sad there isn't a single nice sit-down table service restaurant at Kings Island.....and it is quite amazing that there isn't. I'm guessing the sit down restaurant is an 'all in due time' sort of thing. -
May be snake oil, may not be. It definitely says it's a tonic, which was a common ploy to cure disease in the old west.

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!

True, but you can also get the Backyard BBQ for $15 and have unlimited food. -
Press conference can be seen by all. 08.060.08, 2pm at Kings Island.
-
Members of the media were sent an invite to the press conference which contained a few more clues... The outside of the box makes a direct reference to a speed element. Not too surprising given the layout that has been leaked. Hopefully this implies that we won't see a bunch of trim brakes like Behemouth. Inside it refers to the 6th as being the most exciting annoucement ever. Now, I wasn't alive in 1979 (or 1978 for that matter) but I'm pretty sure The Beast was a pretty exciting announcement. If they can really top that, then they must have something really special in store for you in 2009. Here's a closeup of the bottle of 'tonic' that will cure your need for speed on the 6th. The guy on the bottle is Doc Helbig, who is the same guy from the Rakes/Helbig Funeral Parlor during Halloween Haunt. He must sell this stuff in the offseason.
-
I'm telling you... it's going to be a Wal-Mart.
-
As stated in the other thread, I talked to some very credible Kings Island officials and they asked me to assure you that there are no plans to change the name of the Fairly Odd Coaster or any ride in Nickelodeon Universe.
-
Yeah, that's the best example yet. In the Loop is definitely one of the most professional sounding ones. I've been a guest on Clint's show several times.
-
Looks like it may actually turn out to be a coaster...

I-Team Investigates KI Foreign Worker Program?
BoddaH1994 replied to XGatorHead 8904's topic in Kings Island
As I've stated before, in almost all employment agreements, if you're not the PR person, spokesperson, or executive you will be fired on the spot for talking to the press about anything company related. -
It's best to purchase your tickets early. The earlier the better! Remember that the ABSOLUTE last day to purchase tickets for the KICentral Event is this Monday! It'd be best if you purchased tickets before the weekend. TIME IS TICKING AWAY!!! Don't miss what will be the most talked about event in KICentral history. Remember that we've added a construction tour!!

AWESOME Beverage Deal for Passholders at KI!
BoddaH1994 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Epic LOL. I'm always cranky. Had you bothered to come to the event last year, you'd know that. The fact of the matter is, neither you nor I know what attendance is like at Kings Island this year. I can tell you that the park has seemed busier than usual these past few months. -
Obviously a lot of questions will be answered this Wednesday, but one thing that has left everyone mystified is what the name of the new attraction will be. Looking through the many discussions, I picked out some of the most commonly mentioned names and left a little leeway for write ins. Let's see which one ends up being right on 08.06.08!?!
