Handing out something for free due to acts of god/ out of the control of the park has the potential to create a: "can open, worms EVERYWHERE!" scenario. Handing out a freebee for 100 could **** off 1000 for their own "issue".

If CP does it the right way, GK will not be a parking lot coaster as accurately defined in the pic above. But we really will not know until June. New landscape projects similar to what is needed for GK are almost certain to die if done prior to Memorial Day on the southern shores of Lake Erie.

It is the age of social media. Just a small nugget of info about the park keeps followers interested in the off-season and keeps them coming back looking for more. Bald eagles are quite majestic in the the wild. We had one outside of work a few years back eating a rabbit. We watched & snapped pics for quite some time in pure awe. Many of us posted what we saw on our own FB page. It is fun to look back and decipher a tweet like this, but you know what they say about hindsight. I really don't believe the bald eagle tweet was a hint at all. I don't believe KC deserves to be on that list. SoB may also be a stretch only because nobody can predict what the ride would have been like if enough money was spent on it from the beginning & if the construction issues did not arise.

It makes me question if something happened, or if this is planned for a reason. KI's FB page was always active, especially by KI itself (Don??) providing info & answering many of the same questions- over, and over, and over, and over..... Whoever is in charge of KI's page is MUCH more visible than whoever is in charge of CP's page.

Don't think so? I can see why you would question it. As Captain Nemo point out, each ride is very different. To the point that I would say completely different with the exception of both being steel coasters & using wheels. I would have believed for someone to take the time to look at each ride, and take the time to actually post on CP's FB page that: "Cedar Point does it again!!!" he would really have a small background in being an enthusiast. Although for it to be "again", you would guess this new coaster decision at CP mimics other decisions made at SFMM, which really has not happened.

The beginning of the end was many years ago for CLP. The weather in the CLP area (NW PA) the past 2 summers has been fantastic for outdoor activities (above average temps, below average rainfall). If the park cannot generate enough interest for people to visit with that type of weather, when can they? Unless a miracle comes through, this will probably be the final nail.

Does Screamscape get negative points for making predictions for what does not come true?

I personally would love to see something along those lines, but modified for today's generation (interactive, visually "real"/ appealing).

You would be surprised on how (comparatively speaking) inexpensive water rides/ attractions are. Instead of "recovery" year, I believe 2013 is more of a "savings" year.

SoB is down and the station is being used. Vortex has stopped sinking. TR is no more, and the building is being used. There is no new ride for 2013 & FD will be here for it's 20th. It seems to be time for the Tower Johnny talk to start up.
