  1. Then why remove the rumors once the facts come out?
  2. The beginning of the end was many years ago for CLP. The weather in the CLP area (NW PA) the past 2 summers has been fantastic for outdoor activities (above average temps, below average rainfall). If the park cannot generate enough interest for people to visit with that type of weather, when can they? Unless a miracle comes through, this will probably be the final nail.
  3. Pittsburgh Zoo attendance declines sharply after fatality http://triblive.com/news/allegheny/3201216-74/attendance-zoo-weather This whole story is just sad....
  4. Does Screamscape get negative points for making predictions for what does not come true?
  5. I personally would love to see something along those lines, but modified for today's generation (interactive, visually "real"/ appealing).
  6. You would be surprised on how (comparatively speaking) inexpensive water rides/ attractions are. Instead of "recovery" year, I believe 2013 is more of a "savings" year.
  7. ^ What are the odds that many people would be in the same parking lot with the same color car?
  8. SoB is down and the station is being used. Vortex has stopped sinking. TR is no more, and the building is being used. There is no new ride for 2013 & FD will be here for it's 20th. It seems to be time for the Tower Johnny talk to start up.
  9. I believe your employer must give it to you by the end of January. http://www.socialsecurity.gov/employer/filingDeadlines.htm
  10. Attempting proper grammar shows class & respect for those who read it. Blatantly disregarding grammar is a sign of laziness.
  11. If I protested every business that did not share my exact feelings, I would not spend money anywhere.
  12. It is a smart move. Too often, entitlement will determine succession in a family business, and the next in line may not be ready. It is also good for a business to "refresh" itself with a different set of "eyes". Rest assured, an "outsider" does not achieve this position without support of the family.
  13. One is in VA & the other in OH...... My first trip to KD was terrible, I don't know if we were just in bad moods, or expected a similar experience to KI, but we actually left early. We were happy BGW was close by- opening year for AC too! We did go again, and had a better experience. Volcano is a must, and does typically have the longest line. You should have no problem getting on the major rides at least once.
  14. I wonder if the NJ mayor still thinks it a good idea to leave the coaster? http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/new_jersey&id=8946170
  15. Cedar Point: Gatekeeper coaster construction 'on schedule' http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/277161/110/Cedar-Point-Gatekeeper-coaster-construction-on-schedule I find this news interesting. CP/ Sandusky area usually gets the same, if not better, weather than where I live in Erie, PA. We are still over a foot less than normal for snow accumulation, and the temps have been above average for the most part, and GK is only "on schedule"? This winter has been more significant than last year (by comparison, I only used my snowblower 3x last year and have already reached that amount this winter) but it is still mild by our standards. Although, they may actually be ahead of schedule, but report to be "right on" in case something unexpected comes up.
  16. This is the kind of attention Hart wants. Knowing he is the only interested party, it's seems it will come down to a "staredown" between political figures that keep saying opening KK is important & they only person coming forward willing to run it- even on someone else's dime.
  17. ^ people on CP's FB page.
  18. I personally love the pro-Pepsi people threatening to boycott CP & other CF parks. Because, ya know, the soft drink availability is the determining factor in which park I go to. These people should be slapped upside their Pepsi drinking head- and I'm a Pepsi guy!
  19. Paramount was more concerned about advertising than: the rides, cleanliness, customer service, long term planning, overall park look and feel.
  20. It's not a big surprise that many locals would feel that way. I have the same feelings for Paramount for what they did to KI.
  21. I love the offseason:
  22. I believe only the date has been released so far, minus the details. If I am not mistake from past practices, the details are usually released in February.
  23. I themed sign would be terrible marketing as it gives the appearance that the ride is closed often (even if it is true).
  24. ^ I wouldn't mess with Timberwolf. The Singing Spirts will get you!
  25. Just because it was once used during normal operating season does not mean it's use, or timing of use, cannot change.CP just built a structure specifically for HW use. I cannot consider that a waste of space either as is serves a specific purpose.
