Off topic thread about The Beast.
One has to wonder how rare this actually is. If you think about it, Beast has been around for quite some time, has two large lift hills, and I'm sure both chains have been replaced on more than a handful of occasions.

Yes, definitely give the impression you will not steal. If you walk in with pantyhose on your head and scream "hands up!", you may not get the job.

Quadriplegic Suing Disneyland For Leaving Him Stranded On ‘Small World’ Ride
IMO the amount speaks volumes. An $8000 "award" is nothing for Disney, but it is probably enough to change their practices enough that if a guest cannot enter "x" ride w/o assistance, you cannot ride. It is too bad it needs to be that way.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
I wonder how many people would complain about KI's ticket cost mimicking Disney's just so KI could also mimic the front of the line system Disney uses so that it is then free for all walks of life that visit KI.

Creepy Abandoned Theme Parks
I wonder if the decisions to take some rides/ leave others were for insurance reasons along the lines of: if your car gets totaled, you can't buy it back & insure it with the same company?

Geauga Lake land will be sold -- in pieces
GL parent company Funtime Parks put itself up for sale in 1995, at which time the two highest bidders were believed to be Premier Parks and Kennywood Entertainment. CF was believed to be not interested at that time for a major expansion. Premier Parks got the company and then got greedy, by acquiring Six Flags in 1998. Then went on a buying and expansion binge everywhere, including at GL by adding 5 coasters and buying Sea World Ohio in a 2 year span. Soon Six needed cash and sold off anything that had a potential buyer, which lead CF to buy GL. Yes, but it does not answer the question of CF's "plan" to eliminate the competition as a previous poster suggested.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
All sports players are overpaid. A reduced salary from $15 million/ year to $13 million/ year should not be praised. Now if all the players & owners reduced their salaries by 50% so that the average Joe could afford the games, I would praise that. Idiots, like myself, pay a premium to watch them both in person & at home.

Geauga Lake land will be sold -- in pieces
If CF's "plan" was to eliminate GL why not purchase the park prior to SF taking over? Which then leads to another question: if GL was competition for CP, why would SF be willing to part with it?

Low Crowd days at Cedar Point
I have gone the Sunday after Mother's Day (May 19th this year) many times with great success. I speculate that it is a less crowded time to go due to: early in the year, not many school trips happen on the weekend, and Memorial Day is a week away.

Fast Lane "Plus" Comes to some of the Cedar Fair Parks
It should be noted that CF is not alone in the "front of the line upcharge" when it comes to amusement parks. I would personally like to see the data (and I would hope there is data) on Fast Lane vs. no Fast Lane option; which one the majority of guests want more. It could be a great marketing strategy if the data shows a 50/50 split: "Come visit (insert park here) where we have no front of the line option like everyone else!"

Cedar Point to remove Disaster Transport & Space Spiral for B&M Wing
The proceeds from the "first riders" go to a good cause, and means much more to the beneficiaries than most of us can probably fathom. Of course it's great that charities can benefit from the "first" seats. Hopefully the "open" media day doesn't reduce enthusiasm for that auction. It has not reduced enthusiasm in the past, I doubt it will now.
