  1. ^ I have never heard about Reedy Creek till you mentioned it. Thanks! It seems to be a fantastic and continuing project! Info: http://www.rcid.org/
  2. ^ I was thinking Groundhog Day myself. (that stupid little rodent that predicts weather just like a real weatherman..)
  3. About time. I wonder how long it will take other parks to do the same thing. http://www.ocregister.com/entertainment/policy-499963-children-age.html

  7. The proceeds from the "first riders" go to a good cause, and means much more to the beneficiaries than most of us can probably fathom. Of course it's great that charities can benefit from the "first" seats. Hopefully the "open" media day doesn't reduce enthusiasm for that auction. It has not reduced enthusiasm in the past, I doubt it will now.

  9. I don't see this much effort & expense going into this type of a themed atmosphere only to show one team/ game a day.I also love the location. For parents who choose not to partake in some of the larger coasters in the area or the park's main water ride now have a very nice option relatively close to sit back & relax. When our kids were still very young (breast feeding too) I always would get a horizon suite at Breakers Tower so the wife & kids had a place to relax while I went to TGI Fridays & "relaxed" too. Often times a Tribe game would be on. We always had Motorolas so that we could still converse. It worked out perfectly.
  10. That makes zero sense.Admitting a transgression should come with a benefit, not the same result as lying.
  11. If the rule was known prior to the actual offense (as in the case with Rose) I would agree with you.

  13. Not sure what us worse than gambling, but that is your call. The 1919 Chicago Black Sox paved the way for gambling to be treated as the # 1 unforgivable sin in sports. Pete's only saving grace was that he didn't bet against his team. If he would have just came clean, there is no doubt he would not only be in the HoF, but he would have been managing again.
  14. As much as I do agree that Rose belongs in Cooperstown, he dug his own grave. Fay Vincent, MLB commissioner during the Rose scandal, knew he was 100% guilty. Rose knew he was 100% guilty. Vincent simply drew a line in the sand and gave Rose an ultimatum, come clean or face a lifetime ban. Rose took the lifetime ban. He deserves exactly what he asked for.
  15. I do find it humorous that for many years many people have voiced displeasure that KI has too many franchise food options, now when something unique is offered, many still voice displeasure.
  16. The reason you won't eat there is because the theme of the restaurant does not fit the name of the area located?I suppose you will not ride DB either given it's theme & location?
  17. ^ My subdivision has no such restrictions, and if they did, I would never have bought my home. I also don't see how there is no master plan. Full article:
  18. ^ Why would building in a subdivision prevent the extreme circumstance you suggested?
  19. It will be interesting to see how KK pans out.
  20. Welcome to the jungle, thanks for the vine.
  21. We often will do a 1.5 day trip. Sunday late afternoon/ evening & all day Monday. Sundays in May & first two weeks of June & during Halloweekends are usually great times to visit.July & 1st two weeks of August will be the busiest of the season- no matter what day you go. Halloweekends Saturday are (weather pending) the busiest of the whole year. Visiting CP on "dead" days is not an exact science. Plan for the worst & hope for the best.
  22. The "rule" that you must be able to grasp something is more for the ability to evacuate safely than to hold on during the ride.Same goes for those in wheelchairs. They need to be able to climb into the car w/o assistance so they are able to safely exit the car in the case of an evacuation. The easiest standard is to prove guests can physically strap themselves in/ out.
  23. When my wife screams out "MCBR" I know my coaster enthusiasm has gone too far.
  24. The park has zero control what ride manufacturers determine to be a "safe" rider. If a manufacturer spec changes, the park has to as well. Unfortunately, different ride ops see things differently. I suggest a visit to guest services so that it cannot be misunderstood.
