^^ There could be numerous reasons. A few off the top of my head: - Budget did not allow extra expense for weatherproof speakers - Speakers were promo item from vendor - Speakers were "rented" from vendor & park allowed service contract to expire. - Person ordering speakers did not know what they were ordering - Person ordering did not believe the extra expense was worthwhile. There is one thing I have learned over the years; what does not make sense now, very could have well made sense back then, we just have the benefit of hindsight.

I just thought of an intresting revelation: When someone now mentions "I can see missing supports on SoB from FD" we know they are not full of crap.

^ I can only imagine the paperwork associated with this type of donation so that CF is not held responsible if an "accident" would happen once the house is built....

This is just a reminder to please drive safe with your head on a swivel when in parking lots. I am not blaming the driver in the article in any way, this is one of my driving "nightmares". http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/SanduskyRegister/LandingPage/LandingPage.aspx?href=U0RTS1kvMjAxMi8wOC8wNw..&pageno=Nw..&entity=QXIwMDcwNg..&view=ZW50aXR5

Did you actually call the park & explain your desire for this information, or are you just relying on the tidbits of info found at some social media sources? I ask because, let's face it, I would be surprised if the park understands your unique desire to document such historical events.

You are assuming they are weatherproof speakers, which I doubt as those speakers are VERY expensive. You also need to keep in mind that even if "weatherproof": they will still not last forever and the wiring for the speakers is not weatherproof (I have thought numerous times a speaker was blown only to find out the wiring went bad). If I had a nickle everytime I heard the same type of comments about Mr. Knizel or CF in general, I could afford a FP & locker on the same day.

If people thought CF was too neutral with SoB, imagine how they will feel with France.

^ Please tell me you are joking.

Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park
Browntggrr replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
They don't try to compete, they do compete. The new Fantasyland is a direct answer to WWoHP. While IoA does provide thrills, they also have family attractions. Disney provides family attratcion, and also has thrills. Don't be fooled, each compete for $$. -
I personally thought her: "Why are you commenting on this, I don't know you" attitude was pure humor. So; post on FB for all to see, those who agree- please comment, those who disagree- I don't know you, why are you commenting? I also find it VERY funny that people have NO IDEA how to get information until AFTER they leave the park upset with a: perk, policy, price, etc., but know how to use a computer and voice a negative opinion on FB. Social media sites have to be a nightmare to customer service reps.

^ Now that makes sense.

Honestly, the 3-7 age group does not surprise me. At age 7 my daughters could not enjoy rides with a 48" height requirement. Age 8 was the magic number. The same goes with wearing life jackets at the yacht club; age 7 & under had to wear a jacket. Other websites (Old Country Buffet, TGI Fridays, Eat-N-Park) also do not have ages listed, which is also surprising. Given the age is not listed on the website, or where you would purchase tickets on the site, would have certainly raised a red flag for me during the trip planning stages & a phone call to the park would have been made.

^ It was already mentioned in the press release the removal is for future expansion. I anticipate something BIG to take the place of SoB.

Was the entire comment deleted? I can't seem to find it. (I wanted to back you up!) EDIT- Found it.
