  1. Actually, CF did a tremendous job with your customer service. They didn't lie. They attempted to answer your question in numerous ways. When they couldn't (and admitted so), and received the obscure signals you were frustrated, they offered something of value that you have an interest in and was the source of your frustration. Not being able to answer your question the way you wanted is not poor customer service as the representatives answering the phones cannot be expected to know everything about the park. When it comes down to CF caring about money: no kidding. Just like every business that is handed our hard earned dollars, their first mission is to make a hefty profit. I cannot think of one business that I have paid to receive some kind of service that has not made a mistake. If the same mistake continues, or numerous mistakes continue to happen & they don't care, I move on to another business that will care.
  2. We really don't know if the coolers were illegal.
  3. ^ And in CF's mind: "Mission Accomplished".
  4. ^ Purchase them in October. You will save a good chunk of money.
  5. Time for some good news: And in a few years: Thanks Cedar Point for being a part of a new beginning for me. Last night I was going to divorce my husband on the wind seeker at the way top and he jumped before signing the papers!! Yes, I have a sick sense of humor!
  6. How many of us purchased a season pass after FP was announced? I know I didn't.
  7. ^ Which would be a terrible decision if purchasing just for GK. Purchasing FL can't prevent the opening day blues for new rides as there are often long waits (inexperience by all park entities) with numerous breakdowns. What should also be considered: opening day at CP is normally very chilly that time of year due to being directly on Lake Erie, which will probably only have a temperature of 55°. The air temperature could be 70° just 10 miles South of the park, and 50° at the park if the wind is coming off the lake. - Brown- who has been to opening days for Raptor & MF and has learned to stay home & mow the lawn.
  8. http://digital.olive....&view=ZW50aXR5 A rather informative article. This should reduce most of the noise about how much input Mr. Kinzel had.
  9. It's not that they have no idea how it works, they just don't have the exact answer you are looking for. Why were you not forwarded to someone who does? I know you will not like the answer, and I am not trying to be an a$$; you are looking for one specific answer and keep pushing in an increasing negative tone. Forwarding you to someone else will most likely not solve the issue in their opinion. Your comments to members disagreeing with you on KIC (which is what KIfan1980 was attempting to tactfully suggest) pretty much suggests how the conversation went with customer service. (keep in mind, I often respond the same way. My explanation is not to live in a glass house & throw stones). The answer may be as simple as: the FP qualifications changed like the FL price has this year. KI (CF) has communicated numerous times that the FL system is constantly changing.I have to remind myself often- you attract more bees with honey.
  10. I can only assume these types of programs are thought up by marketing & then go through the accountants to make it "worthwhile". Accountants will put a price tag on everything, with the exception of reality (i.e. an accountant will search hi & low for hours for a $.05 discrepancy. Me- I will throw a small party for my wife if our checking is only $.05 off) I can see why FL would not increase your FunPerks much, or at all. The park(s) do not want to encourage pass holders to purchase FL since pass holders are in the park often enough that FL should be a moo point. (I am a big fan of Friends ) Now I can see why food purchases would be a big FunPerks bump for pass holders as we can come & go as much as we want for the whole year. If the accountants set-up the ins & outs of the system, it does not surprise me no one could answer the question. I give customer sevice credit for not only telling the truth, but offering a settlement for the frustration. - Brown- who dials up his accountant and says "Hi Mom".

  12. KI allows coolers for those with medical needs. Performers that are not KI employees are also allowed to bring coolers in. Yet still, she has the typical "Rules don't apply for me" attitude and once they are told they can't do something, they throw a temper tantrum. Similar attitudes occur when a driver is pulled over for speeding- "Why did you single me out officer? They are speeding too!" Justifying breaking a rule because others are doing it too is quite pathetic.
  13. ^ We did: From KI: Her Response: Many others have told her it has been a policy for some time. Her response:
  14. ^ You are right, it is all politics. The whole KK fiasco was messy with just the Fair Board. Now with politics involved, I can't imagine it getting easier. I hope to be wrong. No enthusiast want to see a "dead" park.
  15. ^ There is some truth to "any press is good press" and in this case, it is very true. (and I do remember a comment like you mentioned) In other cases: SoB's issues, Batman movie shootings, infidelity/ sex scandels etc., I would seriously doubt those directly affected would agree that in the ever-growing social media World that "any press is good press".
  16. I have little sympathy for those who chose to live near a park, then complain about the noise the park makes. I have a large field behind our house. On the other side of the field is a cemetery. A neighbor who has lived in their home for about 7 years recently mentioned about starting a petition to have the cemetery removed because it is "creepy". The cemetery has been around for 40+ years.
  17. What are the odds a new intern was not in charge of "leaking the information? Cedar Point addresses Gatekeeper's leaked information http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/256115/110/Cedar-Point-addresses-Gatekeepers-leaked-information
  18. Loved the tree shot!
  19. ^ I don't see how he was flamed as nobody was insulting, profane, or personal. Now, we were brutally honest and did not agree, which should be expected when associated with the claims made and no solid data to back it up. IMO people would be more reluctant to associate themselves with an enthusiast site that caters to rumor mongering and making false claims rather than a site that has members calling out those making the claims. Many enthusiast sites don't even have a "rumor" section to prevent this type of behavior. Those that do, are MUCH less kind then many of us at KIC. A dip in traffic very well could be associated with the constant evolution of social media sites. Let's put it out on the table- why would an intern, who is trying to make a positive impression at one of the most popular seasonal parks in the US, bring such information to an enthusiast web site after only being a member for a short amount of time and does not have quality posts that would be associated with being an intern?
  20. Do you seriously believe it would be that difficult for CF to figure out who you are?I honestly hope you enjoy interning, that is, if you actually are an intern and not some middle school hack l trolling for attention. By the way you conduct yourself: no class and less integrity for your potential employer, am confident you will make a career of just interning.
  21. Like I mentioned in the comment section (among other things): Does he expect Ohio Dept. of Transportion to erect signs on the highway warning drivers of the sudden bug hitting the windshield epidemic?
  22. This always gets me all nostalgic:
  23. Anyone remember when Bat was sitting idle for all those years? That whole area was DEAD. The bathrooms, games (Whack-a-Bat), vendors, etc. It was rather spooky.....
