Disney increases admission
SOB_TOM replied to Browntggrr's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
What is the point of going to WDW anymore? Personally, if I was down in Orlando, I would not either buy a pass to WDW or buy tickets to WDW. 71 bucks for a theme park is ridiculous. -

Most likely because the girl's parents will sue because the op "wasnt doing his job" and try to push for negligence -
Kings Island Now Offers New Military Ticket Program
SOB_TOM replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Yay! Discount admission to KI! Oh wait, I have a pass..... -
The best thing to do about guns that dont work is to tell the operator. That way they can call maintenance and get the guns fixed. And you are actually presented with more targets sooner if you climb into the car first. This is because of how the car turns and rotates.

Teen Says KI Police Pepper Sprayed Him When He Tried To Leave
SOB_TOM replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Nah, taser effects are short term. Pepper spray lasts longer. Seriously, there are more loopholes in this story than in a government contract. I bet the whole fight was because he quit, he immediately turned into a regular guest, therefor could not be on the platform to make his "call." The sup probabily told him to call from the employee entrance and to get off the ride. He refused, so the sup called security. Security gets there, the kids making a scene, and they ask him to leave the ride. He refuses, and one of the security guards goes to grab his arm to escort him off the ride. The kid jerks his arm from the security guard and probabily pushes him or throws a punch. At that point, security took him out because he was violent, sprayed him to subdue him, and then escourted him into security office to fix his eyes and get info from him. Anyone else agree? P.S. No, I was not there, but I have seen a couple incidents like this one. -
If it was behind the fence, then its normal traffic. Dont worry about it... Tom, who feels he works for the government after making that statement.

Also, you need to shoot the target twice. The first shot registers the hit on the target, sends a pulse back to the gun to trigger the sound and scoring in the gun, the second shot sets off the animation. Keep your gun still and on target until the animation starts moving. The capaciter inside the gun control panel charges at a certain rate, which I really dont know off the top of my head, however this is not true with the sound card. A little tip: In the Library scene, wait to try to hit the portrait until you are DIRECTLY IN FRONT of it. This is because the range of the guns is roughly 30 ft, and the portrait is around 25 ft. back.

Woofer, I have been a proud pagan for going on 5 years now. And yes, I have ran into a lot of people with the same viewpoint as Adam. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. HOWEVER, I am opposed to those who force their opinion on others. Just because one person likes those of the same sex, or believes in a different religion than you do, is no reason to hate them, or to make them feel like a minority. No matter if its said in the Bible or not, Treat others as you want to be treated. How would you like someone treating you the way you are treating those dont think are "Undesirable"?

Rumor_smasher, I am sorry that your simple question has come to what it has. Maybe one of these days, all people will come together with the maturity to accept all groups and discrimination will come to an end.

Think in these terms: KI only has 3 water rides in the hardpark. Two are located on the Southern edge of the park. One, Congo Falls, is located in its busiest area, has a great capacity, and little downtime. So why would you remove it?
-
Yes, there was a "pride night" type of thing in the past where the park was open to the general public. In order to disginguish themselves between regular parkgoers and the gay community, those who attended wore red shirts. Or sundresses with full beards...... So thats where the "dont wear red on this date" thing came from. And now, SOB_TOM is going to do something mindless to get the picture of a full bearded man in a sundress and matching pumps out of his mind.
-
Could be. I respect those who are gay, however I have been scared before on Pride night working TRTR. This is just my taste, but a sundress and a beard just dont go together. But the pumps he was wearing DID match the dress

The boiler is not turned on. Simple as that. As for the theming, its not that hard to remove the theming and roll it outside. In fact, its done quite a lot in the offseason (with coverings of course.) Zach, I would love to know who your source is, however let me tell you somthing: I dont know who is calling a computer the "mega-board," but whoever it is is just trying to make themselves seem like they know what they are talking about. Its a desktop computer, nothing more. The control modules in the PLC room could have been removed, but I have never heard of a mega-board. However, from the sound of it, its a computer, a desktop computer. Also, it really wouldnt make sense to de-paramount the ride in the middle of the season? I think that it would make more sense if a hydraulic line gave way, maybe in an out of the way location, such as behind one of the arms, which requires heavy machinery to hold the ride up. That would make more sense to move the scenery out of the way if they had to get trucks in and out of the building.

Girl Injured on Amusement Park Teacup Ride
SOB_TOM replied to A_Titanic_Mess's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I dont see it the same way that everyone else is. Last time I checked, not following rules seems to be a learned behavor. So where could she have learned not to follow the rules? I can think of one place, the home. SO, since her parents, at the time of incident, were not with her, where could they have been? Maybe at the bar? At home? Not caring where she was maybe? Thus why money is not the root of all evil, but bad parenting is. See how things can easily be turned around? -
While singing the Brazilian National anthem, holding the Chile national flag and tap dancing.

Only on the busiest of busy days does that open. I have seen it once, and I had to "Guard" the metal detectors on both that entrance and also the main entrance because of the wall of people. Kept setting em off inadvertently and I had to keep "repairing" them.

During Nights of Fire? Not anymore, not with people on I-street. Too close for the ashes if the wind is blowin right. Plus, it shuts down a signature ride for about 3 weeks or so before and after the show.

The old elephant barn (the cobra graveyard) is where the fireworks USED to be set off from. They used that clearing first for seasonal parking for those who worked in tech services (cancelled that right after 9/11) to shooting off the nights of fire fireworks then to the regular nightly display. Many good memories from that field...

I love how realistic some predictions are. While there at it, why not just move Millie down here as well?

CF Favorable Tax Treatment In Danger
SOB_TOM replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I hate looking at political garbage. And I think your page should have been for Ed Markey there Interp. -
Fanny packs? Come on people, are we members of some other coaster organzation? I swear by cargo shorts. Or the back of the wheelchair, since that seems to be my mode of transportation lately.

Personally, I think the smoothest seat on SOB is the kiddy corral right under the sign "We are not responsible for lost objects."
-
Side B has normally been used for parts for side A, so thats nothing new. TO change a film in a projector, you need 1 hr, max. That includes a new seat program, a 5 minute film load, and putting away the other film. Its not that hard. Basically you attached the beginning of the film to the end of the one being taken out, then you let the projector take in the film until the new film has replaced the old film, and then you remove the old film from the new, attach the two ends of the new film, and you are done. And about removing the screen, maybe it was also needed for spare. Those screens are not cheap. And no, I dont think FX Theatre is going to be removed.

NEWS: CF add restriction to children under 4 feet to wear lifevest
SOB_TOM replied to JjAmSaOnN's topic in Kings Island
Everyone is forgetting: This day in age its not the parents fault if the child commits a crime, its the governments for not telling the parents how to properly raise their child. GO PBS! -
